"And I tally another example of flattery bypassing intelligence." K'laon folded his arms behind his head and leaned against the cliff wall rising up behind them. He didn't know what And'l was trying to get at now- saying things about the Greenrider being attractive after his repeated denials of any interest in the whole infatuation idea didn't seem to fit well. K'laon wasn't a person for flattery anyways, he knew he wasn't attractive, had been told it a thousand times, and had come to see anyone saying anything different as, well, wrong.
He would be much better off complimenting Amirinth. Everyone knows she is very beautiful.
"Kid, I've decided what you need. It's not manners or experience or whatever else you're attempting here. Faranth knows I'm not nice looking, and I'm only getting older so that's not changing." K'laon chuckled beside himself; he wouldn't call himself old now, but he was definitely senior to the majority of the riders at Nyocia. "You need a trouble attitude."
And who better in training for that than K'laon?
Amirinth, perhaps. Or Truth's. Amirinth rumbled. Although not one to really grow fond of others, there were definitely humans and dragons out there with personalities that struck the Green, F'ynch among them.
"Oh shush bug, you'll only hold him back." K'laon spoke out loud to her this time, glancing upwards towards the Green. Making whatever he had to say to her public always seemed to get to Amirinth more, no matter how random or off-subject it may seem to bystanders.
