It had been quite some time since Brylorea had found herself with nothing to do to occupy her morning hours. Usually she had some task set to her that she had to accomplish that would take up the better half of the beginning of her day, but today...today was Brylorea day. She had tucked herself into bed the night before much later than she normally would have and very much intended to snooze the entire morning away...unless, of course, someone absolutely, positively needed her assistance with something.
Sadly, the goldrider had not counted on the fact that she might be so used to rising early that sleeping in just wasn't quite possible. Indeed, she found herself lying in bed, her eyes closed in exasperation, begging for sleep to return to her. Meatroll and Pokey were snuggled comfortably against either side of her head and moving would probably wake them up - something she didn't wish to do after explaining to the two as best she could to the pair of pets that they were going to sleep.
Stifling a yawn, she opened her eyes and gazed up at the ceiling. This was ridiculous. The one time she'd actually planned on sleeping in for a change she physically could not.
It is not all that bad. The sun has come up quite nicely. I think I'd like a bath, Voluspath said, quietly. Brylorea half smiled; why the gold was 'whispering' was beyond her. Neither Meatroll nor Pokey could hear the queen.
Deciding she could lie in bed no more, Bry carefully got up and was surprised to see she woke neither of her sleeping companions.
"Let's see if we can find anyone who'll want to join me for breakfast," Brylorea said.
Voluspath, in a well enough mood to be agreeable, projected the message to any riders and Weyrlings that just so happened to be awake. Surely with a gold's call, there would be few who would ignore it.
