"She wanted a queen? I've seen her around, but not really spoken to her. I'm a little envious...if I wasn't so fond of my own hair, I'd be *really* jealous of hers." The whiterider was quite a striking woman, Karisna mused.
"But I don't see the point of wishing for something that's that unusual." Then again, the white was the only one of his kind. "I care a lot more that whatever dragon picks me appreciates and values my quirks and doesn't mind a bit of banter now and then than what color it is. I wouldn't even be upset if I bonded a male...I think a green or barred is more likely, but I could sort of see a blue."

"Fervently. Or so I heard." She hadn't talked to Gwen much before she had Impressed, but Nayarath's fondness of Tinth led to Kora talking to her a couple times... though never really about Impression, as she remembered.
She should probably talk to the Candidates more. It could very well be her lack of association with them that left Nayarath disliking them so much.
Maybe not when they were supposed to be doing chores though… Kora glanced at the stew pot, and then past it to where Lilac was impatiently chittering at Soot. With the Violet done snacking, the Tan wouldn’t have much more time… and she may as well get going too. Talking to the Weyrwoman was a good excuse for slacking off a little on a chore, but Meagan wouldn’t be very pleased with Kora.
"Best to just show up and see what you get," Kora agreed absently.

Well, Kari could talk and stir at the same time. "And if you'll excuse me...I think this stew is done, Weyrwoman."
She didn't want to be rude, but she also didn't want to cause a slow down in the kitchens that would bring the head cook *and* the Candidatemaster down on her, in that order. She was not sure which of the two of them was worse.
Kora's last comment amused her a little. As if she wouldn't shut up. She'd heard hatchings were pretty much un-missable events...that the dragons made noise that could be heard in the nearby *Holds*. Well, maybe that was an exaggeration, but...still. Besides. Jorindath struck her as a dragon who would make sure the Candidates got there if she had to get them herself!

Lilac left Soot with a final "hurry up" squawk and fluttered over to Kora, seating herself on the Weyrwoman's shoulder. "It looks like my fire-lizards are done as well." It was high time she was going too... and with Karisna done with the soup, it was likely she would have other things to attend to soon.
We'll have all the Candidates for a whole day soon enough, Nayarath added absently. The Gold wasn't much looking forward to them all bathing her but plenty of dragons she liked were attending, so it wouldn't be too horrible.
You could do with some socializing. Kora knew she wasn't the best... but at least she was much friendlier than her dragon. "I think I ought to be going," she said to Karisna. "See you."
((Sorry Reine, my muse for this up and jumped off a cliff. xP))
