"Yuk I hate chores, I do not want to do this I do not want to be here." Transiit was heading down to meet the HeadWoman so she could give the candidates in her group some chores Yay chores. Transiit thought sarcastically.
"Eck, well Iindi is in my group so I shall probably meet her down there." Transiit was kind of talking to herself. Although Grymm Wynter was supposed to be listening to her complaints. Grymm hated chores as as much as Transiit did, but was forced along. Transiit decided, if she had to suffer, so did Wynter. __________________________________________________
Jekel was also going to do his chores, although he was more optimistic.....
"Well if I have to do chores I might as well have fun doing it, eh, Umber. Wulfe is in my chore section too." Jekel was speaking to his Kagen as they walked to the HeadWoman.
"I wonder what section Raiin is in. I think she is with Miri.....Is she? Eh, I have no idea. Well I wonder what chores we shall have to do to today, and Umber you have to actually HELP this time. I don't have enough time while I am doing my chores to play.

((...I'll just NPC our Headwoman, since I can. ;D))
"Well, this doesn't sound good at all. Candidates complaining about chores before they've even gotten them?" Emma raised her eyebrows and glanced at J'ran.
"I can give them a talking to." He laughed. "Nothing like a wingleader to strike fear into the hearts of our little Candidates."
"Oh, I'm sure. I fear our new CandidateMaster has been doing just that though, I wouldn't want to hurt the little sweethearts more than they need to be, no matter how much they complain." She smiled at him, took her hand off his arm, and headed over to the pair of Candidates. J'ran followed- interested to see what these Candidates would do, and not about to lose Emma in her work.
"How are you two today?" Emma smiled at them, always friendly to the right extent. The boy looked to be in a better attitude about having chores, not quite like a certain boy who still, despite Impressing, went out of his way to work, but better than the girl present. "All ready to help out cleaning up the kitchens?" That was what she needed right now. Breakfast was over, but they couldn't start preparing for lunch until they had a workspace again.
"You, boy, I'll need you washing those dishes." Emma pointed to a mound of plates, pots, and mugs waiting near a washbasin. Quite the rodent, this boy. Funny to see someone with a kagen that had a rounder face than their own. She smiled slightly to herself, better put that joke aside to share with J'ran later.
"I'll need you to sweep up in here and change the water for people who need it," Emma said to the girl. It was a job she didn't like at all, may as well give it to the complainer. Likely it wouldn't teach her any lesson, but she enjoyed watching whiners suffer. J'ran did as well, as she remembered. There was already a sardonic smile on the Brownrider's lips.
"You can help me out over here sugar." Emma slipped her arm through J'ran's again and headed to another basin where rags were mounded. Cleaning counters for the two of them, since this wasn't really either of their job.

Transiit tried to keep from grimacing as she walked over to the broom and the water she was supposed to be changing, but she didn't succeed......
What why do I have to do this job? And Jekel gets to wash the dishes? I don't wanna do this... Don't say anything. Do not say anything. I want to get through this stupid candidacy, so I can get to the sands. I don't wan't to have to wait for another hatching just because I opened my fat gob. Well at least it is only chores. It isn't that scary candidate master.....
Transiit kept herself by telling herself to be quiet and not say anything, over and over again. She also kept imagining what it would be like, just standing on the sands. ____________________________________________________
Ha! Transiit has to do THAT job and all I have to do are dishes. I mean dishes are definately not what I wan't to spend my doing, but I have done more horrible jobs in my life. And I think Transiit needs some good hard work to make her be quiet. Although she might have done worse before, but I wouldn't know, she wouldn't tell me.............
Umber was staring thoughtfully at the growing pile of clean dishes Jekel was stacking, it wasn't a very hard job, although it wasn't pleasant. But Umber seemed to be enjoying it, surprisingly enough.
(Sorry it took me sooo long to post Sparrow.... I did a really good one, then my computer timed out and everything died, so I tried to re-do it, but it wasn't as good.)

((Aw, it sucks when computers do that. x.o))
Emma watched the Candidates absently. "A quiet pair, these two, don't you think?" She raised her eyebrows and switched her gaze to J'ran.
"Practicing talking to their dragons," he replied with a laugh. "Some people never quite get down doing it mentally."
"Who, you and K'laon? I think it's more a problem of talking to them for so long that you don't even care that the rest of us can't hear the other half of the conversation. Don't you two fall into that habit, it's very irritating." Emma brandished her wash rag playfully at the Candidates.

Well this is better than I thought it would be. And Gryym seems to be enjoying this a little bit too. Although attacking the broom isn't really helping me...............
Transiit was wondering who the rider was, talking to Emma. She was never really goos with names, and usually just prefered calling people, 'that' or 'some random I don't know the name of', it normally wasn't a extremely bad trait, although there were lots of important people in the Weyr, and she was supposed to remember their names.......
Well that is never gonna happen... ___________________________________________________
Jekel was nowhere near finishing the dished. Theirs seemed to be no end to the pile. He was thinking of bringing in a little bit of conversation with the headwoman and the rider. But Jekel was too nervous to really speak to them and they seemed to be talking amongst themselves.....
What is that dragonriders name anyway? Ah, wait isn't his dragon Ekirith? Um, no wait, I should know his name. It is........... Ah J'ran. Wait, is it J'ran? Yes it is......
Jekel was arguing with himself, although he was almost positive that it was the Brownrider J'ran. He was pretty good with names, but when he forgot some, he would always spend ages trying to figure out the name, and he wouldn't give up 'till he knew. He might even ask Transiit...... He decided he needed to know. So he took the risk of asking Transiit.
"Hey, Transiit," He was whispering to Transiit, as he didn't want the adults to hear, "Do you know who the rider is? I think it is J'ran of Ekirith.... But I am not sure..." __________________________________________________
Transiit gave him a look of scorn. "How am I supposed to know? And why am I supposed to care? now leave me alone, and don't talk to me anymore......"
Transiit didn't want anyone to know that the two knew one another.....

"I don't think they want to talk to us J'ran," Emma sighed. "These knots of ours are too intimidating." Well... being confronted by the Headwoman and a Wingleader on one of their first chore assignments couldn't be immensely good.
"Not looking for big dragons then, I'd assume." J'ran shrugged. He had been through the same thing before he Impressed; he wasn't immensely sympathetic for these two. Chores weren't that bad.
"I'd say Barred for the girl. They tend to be snappish." Emma raised her eyebrows when the boy seemed to make an attempt at chatting- or whispering, but it was still some form of conversing- and the girl just got after him. What were their names again? Meagan had told her, but there had been more than two who were supposed to come here, and she didn't know which of the group these two were.

Jekel decided to try and make a conversation with the two adults, he didn't really know what to say but, tried anyway. "Hi, um, I'm Jekel. Er, yeah...." He stuck out his hand, hoping they might shake it...... AWKWARD
Jekel was nervous, and determined at the same time. He wanted to prove that he wasn't so nervous that he wouldn't speak what-so-ever, but he still didn't want to make a fool of himself...... __________________________________________________
Transiit stared at Jekel as he tried to make conversation with the two adults. Maybe he thought he could make a good impression on the adults. Transiit decided that she should speak too.
"And, I'm Transiit." She didn't stick out her hand........
((Eh, Muse-FAIL))

Emma chuckled and shook Jekel's hand. "I'm Emma," though he probably already knew that, "and that's J'ran of Brown Ekirith." She turned back to the rider. "You know how much I love saying that name? Ekirith."
"You've told me." J'ran laughed.
"Ah, and Transiit. Alright." Emma smiled at her, despite how the Candidate seemed to have made a goal to act like some feral animal trapped in the kitchen. Maybe she was just shy... and it was already clear that she didn't like doing chores.
Wouldn't she be shocked when she Impressed and suddenly had far more work than she did as a Candidate...
