"You know Grrym we should really do something, 'cause sitting in here all day is getting really boring. There is supposed to be a new guy, coming sometime soon we should see what he is made of....... But until then lets go get some air, you know in that place called outside." Transiit said sarcastically. "Maybe we can go for a swim, that would be nice. Don't you think?" Transiit asked her wolf. Grrym Wynter barked happily, wagging her tail, she was just as pleased as Transiit to do something. Transiit was happy she was finally done with her chores they were so boring. A swim was just what she needed.

Miri strolled down the hall, trying not to rush. she was lost on her way to the bathing pools, and knew she would be late to do her chores if she did not hurry, but she was a bit tired of the other candidates seeing her as the '''wimpy hold-bred girl'''. turning around a corner, she almost walked INTO the room of another candidates'. the girl within looked at her, a pale gray wolf with a wagging tail at her feet. "sorry! i-uh... i got lost on the way to the bathing pools- i think i took a wrong turn! ill just be going now, sorry to bother you" Miri had never seen a wolf in real life, only illustrations by her home hold's harper, and had an all-too-real fear of the majestic, hulking creature. Miri turned to head out the door...

"Now where is my room" Katrain ponded, he was lost and he knew it. While he was walking he heard talking so he went to investigate. he saw two girls one apologizing and one with a wolf! he ran as fast as he could out the way he came.[or where he think he came from] and out in to the open air. whew! he thought "Am I glad to be out of there".

"Yeah it would be nice if you did leave, but i'm going anyways and by the way the bathing pools are that-a-way." She pointed with with a flourish in the general direction of the pools. Transiit was in a good mood today although she just realised she had said to herself earlier on that Gryym was a wolf.
My families life work is even too good for me.
"Well I am going for a swim in the lake, with Gryym, if she decides to come."
Transiit stared at the girl, and hoped she was going to leave.
I think she is that wimpy hold-bred girl that everyone is talking about, Miri.

“Where are we going? And there was some weirdo who had a freak-out after seeing Grrym. Anyhoo...” Iindi just noticed the other girl in the room. Speaking to Transiit and completely ignoring the poor, willowy child, “Who is she? Is it possible to convert her or not? Wait, isn’t she the wimpy hold-bred girl? What’s she doing in here then?”

Iindi was in a wonderful mood. Well, wonderful for Transiit and Iindi’s standards, maybe not so wonderful to the poor girl they weren’t being so nice to.

Miri's temper was fired up. "you know, i dont really think that's a wolf at all! and even if he was, hes a pup!" Ava streaked into the room, alerted by Miri's anger. Hissing, the feline kit leaped onto Gryym, thinking him to be the cause of her human's fiery emotions. "no! Ava! don't do that!" Miri struggled to control her pride-hurt emotions, and to control her pet. the kit had jumped onto Gryym's back, and Miri ran forwards to pick the feline up, before she could cause any damage. "I am sorry for my pet- she thought your pup was the reason i was... emotional. thanks for the hint about the bathing pools." Miri said, holding a hissing kit away from the whining wolf-like pup at Transiit's feet. Miri was NOT wimpy, though she clearly looked it from her thinness. but she could fight if she had to-- she just liked the battles to be on her terms. turning to leave the room, she was plauged by her clumsiness at an inoportune moment. tripping over the corner of a bed, she fell on to her knees. Ava leaped out of her arms, and cautiously made her way to the nervous Gryym. with a complete change of heart, the wild-looking kit rubbed herself against Gryym, purring a soothing melody. Miri got up, and looked nervously at Iindi and Transiit. i wish Steven was here! he looks much more a fighter, though he's less of one than me! Miri thought as she stared at the girls, who were sblack personing together as she dusted off her knees from her fall...

Grrym was amused that the poor little kit thought she could do any damage to her. Poor naive kit.
"Well that was interesting, um, are you going to the bathing pools or not? 'cause your still kinda in our room, so yeah. And I still want to go for a swim," Transiit switched her attention to Iindi, "So do you want to go for a swim? We are in a good mood today aren't we. You know that kit better get away from Grrym Wynter before she rips her throat out, 'cause she was not scared by your kit whatsoever."

(Yeah I don't think our charries like each other much. ;D)

“I think the wimpy one has a sense of pride. Yeah I’ll come, but we better get out of here quick ‘cos I think Raiin’s coming back. Goodbye, ‘Oh Wimpy One’”

Iindi almost fell on top of her older sister who happened to be a head or so shorter than her.
“Speak of the devil and she shall appear,” Iindi muttered to Transiit.

Ignoring her sister, Raiin walked into the room. “If you two are going to the lake say Hi to Jekel for me. Hello..... um..... M............oh no....” Raiin looked crest-fallen when she realised she couldn’t remember the other candidates name. “So sorry, I can’t remember your name....I think it starts with M.... but knowing me that’s probably wrong. Again, Sorry....”

“Hang on, Why are so many people crowded into our room? Last time I checked you two weren’t very popular.” Raiin said nodding at the terrible two-some.

"its Miri" she told the older girl.
"you related to... her?" Miri asked, scorn in her voice as she did not even look at iindi. she dusted off her pants. "i think she needs to learn some manners- without some, im sure her chances of impression are.. quite low." Miri said, picking up Ava and stalking out of the door. Miri stopped outside it to hear what the girls would say. gryym most likely was not a wolf, of course... but Miri still was not sure if Ava was desended from wildcats, many of which roamed outside their hold.

(ooc: Miri is daughter of major holder, so thats where she gets her attitude from, but she was also spoiled, and used to everyone in her hold acting as if benethe her. obviously hasnt realized no rank at Weyr... will raiin and miri be friendly?)

"Wow...." Raiin was trying really hard not to laugh, she was pretty sure the girl was still listening. When she had composed herself she turned to Iindi and Transiit.

"What did you do to the poor child, she's almost as ubrupt as you two, you couldv'e got to know her more and you may have liked her. Though having two of you in enough, having three mini sisters is more than even I could handle, I think!"

Raiin wasn't too fussed really..... If Iindi and Transiit won't play nice then I will! I like making friends.... if they aren't too alienated by the fact my sister's an evil guinius first.....

"Now your positiveness is just about killing my evil vibes and I won't be alive for the day when good finally triumphs evil.... so byebye!!!"

Iindi all but ran from the room.... Why did her sister have to be so..... uyokj..... nice!

Transiit was just getting bored when Raiin walked in.
Great......... She will try to make friends. Maybe if she distracts her, we can get away.........
Transiit wasn't really paying any attention to the conversation 'till the girl walked out.
Well she's finally out of our room. She's probably still listening though...
Iindi walked quickly and with purpose, out of the room(in other words she ran away, but Transiit knows Iindi's to proud to admit, out loud, how all-to-nice her sister is). Transiit followed her out, saying mischievously to Raiin, who she didn't hate too much........ that she would say 'hi' to Jekel.
When she got out she ran to catch up to Iindi. "Wait, did that girl say that because we are mean we have a low chance to impress? Does she know what a charcoal is? And 'O Wimpy One' doesn't even know where anything is, she walked right into our sharding room and then wasn't even smart enough to leave."

Miri heard iindi tell the other two goodbye, and hid inside an indentation in the wall. theres advantages to being this skinyy, apparently! Miri thought to herself as iindi rushed past, not even noticing Miri. she slipped out of the alcove, and moved towards the room again, to hear what else transiit and raiin might say. i know evesdropping is rude.. but... Miri was happy raiin had stood up for her, in a way-- she might find some friends here after all !
Miri inched up close to the doorway, listening hard.
so its not just me.. raiin had said they weren't very popular, and iindi was not even nice to her own sibling... like miri's had been nice to her?! Miri snorted at herself, cmparing her bossy older sister and brothers to transiit and iindi was... too weird for comfort... but raiin was nice!

just as miri got close to the door again, Transiit strolled out of the room. luckily, Transiit was set on catching up to iindi, who was half way down the hall already. that was a close one! miri thought as she stood stock-still. as soon as transiit had passed her, she moved into the room, almost crashing into raiin, who had come to peer out into the hallway.

"Oh, Hi again..... I thought you might've been listening.... but I wasn't sure." Raiin knew the girl would have a few things to say about Iindi. And quite frankly she wasn't going to listen to them.

"Hey, I know my sister isn't very nice and all... but she is my sister. I might've stuck up for you but I'd've done that for anyone. So please don't start talking all mean about her and that. 'Cos if you do i'll have to tell you off, and I prefer making friends."

The girl, Miri, her name's Miri, got to remember that! was rather pretty. Tall, blonde, blue eyes... a lot like Iindi.... but she looked like she smiled a bit more.

"So you new here? Most people don't come in here unless their lost... and have better luck finding me in the kitchens.... where there's food.... and people....yes the people are important." She smiled to show the girl she was joking... i don't know how people can't get my sense of humour.... well maybe 'cos it comes from me... hey! I'm VERY funny.... Raiin shook herself... I can't have an argument with myself infront of someone new!

"Anyhoo..... so when did you get here?"

"i wasn't gonna keep talking about iindi, actually. i was just thinking about how she's like my siblings" Miri comented. "it's kinda weird that...." "yeah, i'm a bit new- not nearly as new as my brother Steven, who just got here, but yeah, im a '''newbie'''" miri chuckled. "I cant wait till the eggs hatch! can you?" she changed topic. "i mean, i know what colors might hatch 'n all, but its still exciting to wonder what will hatch first!" Miri didn't want to get onto that topic to far, because that might lead to a discussion of what color they might impress. "do you have siblings?" she asked.....

"Yeah, actually, I mean you already know Iindi and I are related, but I also have a younger brother, he didn't make it as a candi though.... but our parents thought he might need some stability and that might help him... so he got to come to the weyr too...."

Raiin wondered if the stability WAS helping Grei... she hadn't had the time to ask him... THAT didn't make her feel too good... she was supposed to be taking care of her brother...she'd make it up to him......... she would.....

But until then Raiin was probably making Miri uncomfortable.... "Sorry, zoning out is kind of my thing... 'pologies....And yeah the hatchings gonna be GREAT!!!!!! It'd be awesome to have a dragon... though I have no idea what colour i'd get.... I'm glad I'm out of the running for a charcoal... no offence intended.... but a dragon with THAT type of temprament is definately more suited to my sister than me! So how's been adjusting to weyr life? Congrats on keeping it together so well. I probably couldn't have made that transistion so well... Coming from a traveller was much easier!"

"And I can't wait for the next gather either! Shouldn't be long now before anothers due! Can't wait to get on the stage again!!!" Raiin sighed in a distant memory. "Okay, I'll stop talking and let you answer my question." She smiled a sheepish smile... Will I EVER get rid of my verbal diorea?

ketraen decided that running away wasn't a good way to find his room. So of he went... again.

while he was walking he saw the girl with wolf retreating from her room and then saw another walking fast to catch up. but he decided to keep walking. He got back to the girls room and saw the apologetic girl and another more mature looking girl so he walked up and asked if they could help him find his room...

Miri looked up, noticing the boy. "could you help me find my room, i'm kinda lost" he said. she smiled. "im not sure i could find it for you- iv'e gotten lost a billion times already! but raiin here might be able to- she's been here a while longer than me!" Miri suggested.
(ooc: it would be easier if i knew what ketraen looks like, so i dont have to say 'the boy', i might say, 'the brown-haired boy' for example.)
Miri wondered where steven was, she intuitively knew he was in the same barracks area as her, but she hadn't seen him yet. "the weyr's a big place- and most of this area looks the same." she saidto the kid. "what's your name, anyway?" Miri asked him. her hair glinted in the sunlight shining through a window.

"Yeah, I could help! Do you know who you're sharing with... or did you manage to score a room to yourself? That would be nice...*exasperated sigh*"

"Come on, let's go find your room. You coming Miri? We could go get some lunch afterwards?"

Miri grinned. "sure, we'll help him, then grab lunch! i was actually starting to get hungry" she chuckled. "is it even possible to get a single room?! you'd have to be like, a bronzerider's kid to get one!" miri commented. she didn't see how they would find the boy's room, but they'd aat least help a bit. <maybe the candidate master?.....> She thought to herself, walking alongside the boy, raiin on his other side.
