"No clue. I thought he might be down here, but...it's going to be hard for him. He can hardly fit his wher in the Lord Holder's quarters."
Which likely meant the Lord Holder's quarters would not be slept in very often. "I *could* get one of my flits to find them, except Silisk threatened to eat them again and they disappeared. He really would rather they were not around."
Silisk did NOT like sharing his bonded with her pets, which was one reason why they were pretty much semi-feral.

"I don't think he'll be keeping Itusk there." Not only could the wher only barely squeeze in, too much went on there. Work, visitors... Itusk wouldn't be at all comfortable, and neither would Itunas.
"Lyask is the same way." Luckily, Lyanni had as little fondness for flitters as her wher did. The question of whether to try and keep some despite her wher seeing them as little more than a harder-than-usual to catch meal had never been a bother.
She shrugged. "It can wait, I guess. Itunas is probably busy anyway." If he was working on Hold business, she didn't want to interrupt him. He would tell them later.

Sillia nodded. "And Silisk is making it fairly clear he wants to hunt before the sun comes up. I'm going to take him a bit away from the hold. I think I saw some wild wherries earlier."
At the labyrinth, it had been easier to hunt the whers. Here, they had to be careful not to run the Hold's precious breeding stock and, when possible, Sillia was taking her blue where he could catch wild prey, reducing the burden having a full run of whers might otherwise bring on a Hold not used to them.
"And for that matter, I'm more than a little hungry myself." Although compared to her beast, Sillia ate pretty much nothing. She was a small, wiry woman who tended to be economical in her needs. "I'll corner Itunas later, as best I can." She was only one of his handlers, technically one of his guards, but she did know that as things moved into the future, the handlers may well be the people Itunas trusted the most. After all, none of them had a real interest in politics. Sillia was still less than happy that the situation had forced the bronzehandler into dealing with them. She knew none of this would have been his choice.
