V'ire's eyes softened with concern. He got up from the cot. " I know you eat some, but not enough. It just looks to me that you've lost a bit since i was here last...and that wasn't long ago Tirasha."
He moved closer and put a hand on her arm. " I'm concerned for you. Please talk to me. I want to know what's going on whether you think I'm being stupid or not." He gave her a smile.
" You are very pretty Tirasha, you should just eat more. At least maintain your weight."

"I'm still alive," she snapped. "That means I eat enough." Whatever he was talking about now... weight fluctuated. Why did he care about hers? He could worry about his own. There was nothing wrong with her.
Willow snarled as V'ire touched Tirasha, and she drew back quickly too. The Bronze would always be protective of her, and now he was picking up on her annoyance with the Greenrider which made things worse. Willow wouldn't bite, but Tirasha wasn't sure what he would actually do if someone irritated him too much.
"You're better off not wasting your concern on me then, you have a dragon to worry about." Tirasha glowered at him, hoping any red that came to her face would be mistaken for anger, not embarrassment at what he had just said. Pretty? No. And she did maintain her weight well enough.
V'ire's eyes fell. " Look Tirasha...I..just...don't want you to end up hurting yourself because you refuse to see that you need to eat a little more." He gave her a smile.
" Don't worry about me and Elisth...I worry about her enough. She's worried about you too Tirasha. Please...I just want to talk about it, I'm not going to force you to eat more. I can't do that."
He held out a hand slowly to Willow. " And I do think you are pretty, but I'm not meaning to upset Willow here. Maybe Willow would like to meet the blue lump on my shoulder? This is Kiyo."

Tirasha snorted. "I won't hurt myself. And I don't need to eat more." If she had survived this long, she could continue to. She didn't need a weyrling worrying about her, especially when she was the Healer, not him.
"You worry your dragon then by making her worry about other people..." And that could lead to unwanted mannerisms and whatever other things. She didn't know a whole lot about dragons, one would have to become a rider to really understand... but Tirasha could guess a lot from observing them and at least having fire-lizards.
Willow growled at V'ire, not liking having this boy reaching his hand anywhere near Tirasha. The Healer stroked the Bronze's back in an attempt to soothe him, but Willow had always been slow to relax. "Well, I don't really care and I don't think Willow does either. And I doubt this is the time for him to be meeting your fire-lizard." Maybe every word she just said had been a lie... although it was probably true that meeting another fire-lizard was not the way to calm him when he didn't like something someone had done.
He gave a sigh. " I guess I overstepped my boundaries Tirasha. I'm sorry if I made you mad, I was only worried....but maybe you are right."
V'ire looked at Tirasha, dropping his hand. " There are only two things that I won't take back Tirasha. Elisth was worried on her own...she really likes you. And that you really are pretty, though it seems to make Willow mad when I say that."
V'ire sat back a little on the cot. " I really don't know what else to say...I guess that I'm sorry Tirasha." He looked down at the floor. Could he make this right again?

"Yes." Tirasha was always right, people didn't need to question that. But V'ire would never be more than a Greenrider, his opinions would probably always be ignored... which made Tirasha feel a little bad for getting after him here. But only a little. It was a stupid thing for him to say about her anways.
"A young dragon will always be influenced by its rider's feelings, or so I've been told." Tirasha frowned. Again, she did her best to just pass over the other half of his comment. Thinking about that just felt... awkward. Especially coming from a male Greenrider. "Willow's mad about you touching me, not anything else," she pointed out. Willow had never shown any reaction to what people said, only what Tirasha felt and the actions of others.
"You should be." That probably hadn't been the best thing to say, but it was out. Willow rumbled slightly, quite sure that V'ire was apologizing for touching His, not anything else. That was good.
V'ire looked up and shrugged. He had definately made her angry when all he had wanted to do was express his concern and....maybe infatuation with her.
" Look, I guess I'd better go before Elisth wanders down here looking for me even though I told her I wouldn't be long." V'ire got up and looked over at Tirasha again. " I like you Tirasha, really. Deny it if you want, but its true...and Elisth is fine. Have a good day Healer."
With that he gave a sigh and headed for the door.

"Yes." Tirasha continued to frown as V'ire stood. She didn't reply to what followed, but surprise flickered across her face as he referred to her finally just as 'Healer'. That was what many of the rider's called her because it was apparently too much of a bother to learn the name of some Journeywoman Healer. Everyone knew the great Nixsha's name... but what V'ire finally said felt like a blow.
"Go ahead then." She licked her lips nervously and made a shooing motion with one hand. Willow chirped his own farewell, happier now that V'ire had apologized to his.
V'ire almost didn't notice the surprise in his hurry to leave, he was a little shocked at himself and her reaction. Mostly at himself. That last word was almost like a hiss when it had come out. He was an idiot!
He walked to the door frame and gave a half-glance back at her. Tirasha, not Healer...you sharding idiot.
As he walked out, he faced the way he was going and slumped against the wall for a brief second. " I'm sorry....Tirasha." It was just a whisper.

Tirasha reached up to stroke Willow as V'ire glanced quickly back and the Bronze chirrupped happily, enjoying to have her attention back on him. Finally V'ire disappeared and Tirasha sat down on the cot with a sigh. Willow huffed softly as her hand dropped to her lap, but apparently that gained no reaction from her so he fell silent again.
She was sure she caught another apology from him, a whisper of one, but it was so soft... maybe she just imagined it because she felt bad. Horrible. Tirasha didn't need people getting after her for how she cared for herself... but she didn't need to react like that. Shards.
Her eyes wandered to her hands, the way they seemed to explode from her wrists simply because of the natural size of their bones against that of the forearm. There was little signs of flesh on either, just skin and slightly protruding veins. V'ire had a point, her aunt had had a point, anyone who gathered the courage to mention on it in the future would... but she couldn't bring that change about.
She could feel Willow shifting on her shoulder, a bump to her ear, and then the flower V'ire had brought drifted to her lap.
