K'met finished cleaning the classroom and then waited for the kids to arrive. Today, he had something fun planned and then book work. They would play a little game that would help communication skills and then they would learn how to bandage a wound. He checked the fellis jiuce he had and the rolls of bandage, enough for 28 people because he planned on having Katara demonstrate for half the class and he would do the other half. They would pretend that their dragon had gotten a wound on its leg. At the end, he would bring out a dragon's anatomy drawing that he expected them to all have copied by the next class. Once he had made sure everything was ready, he allowed the class to enter.

Maideneth jumped into the class room, trying to get ahead o the others. The lightning quite energy of the green saw her the front of the classroom before Earisa was even through the door. At least these days the medium sized green was focusing her energy towards tasks instead of bouncing off the walls , leaving a path of destruction in her wake before being burnt out and falling asleep.
The classroom never got boring for Kayth as he trotted in at D'mas's side. The bronze still didn't look much like a bronze, despite being one of the biggest weyrlings. D'mas had to call Kayth back so the young draognet didn't start nosing around in today's lesson.
Jorindath wasn't quite interested in attending a lesson today, she much rather be preening in the summer sun outside. But Inolyn had promised that there would be time for that later as she saw them seated just to the side of the room.

I... I don't understand... Maiath whispered, pressing tightly against Zadari's leg as the woman once again tried to explain why they had to go to lessons, despite the fact Zadari had been through it all before. "We can't be allowed special treatment." Why? You know this. "Because the others will get jealous, you can stay with me Maiath, it's okay." Zadari whispered, placing a hand on the green's head and rubbing her eye ridges soothingly. In response, Maiath relaxed and stepped forward, while tiny Crystal clung to Zadari's shoulder, hiding in her hair. No matter what the young woman had said, the violet flit refused to leave her chosen.
Scuttle was easy, a meat roll and he was happy, Crystal on the other hand had grown possessive and now hid in Zadari's hair to avoid being seen. It might have worked, might not. Bowing slightly to the Weyrling master as she entered, Zadari found a place towards the back and allowed Maiath to rest her head in her lap, watching the rest with calm eyes. She was fine while she was with Hers, she knew that.
*
"No! I'm not going this time! You can't make me Mermaiyeth!" Beka was going to be stubborn this time, glaring solidly at the silvery green dragonet, who growled right back at her rider. She didn't understand this fear Hers had of people. And if she didn't understand it, she couldn't fix it. We are going! I mean it! I will not allow my rider to sit here and sulk, we must go and that is that. What if we missed something important, hm RiderMine? Beka's eyes raised slightly, expecting to see red in her bonded's eyes, but there was only concern and love swirling in the rainbow depths. As stern as Mermaiyeth sounded, she didn't want to force hers.
Valiant made the decision, chirping lightly to let both of them know he was still there, crawling up onto Beka's shoulder and taking a proud stance, even as Beka laughed. "You can't come dearheart." She told him gently, petting him. How could she explain to Mermaiyeth? The fear of men that had her digging in her heels for any sort of meeting of more than one person. I don't... Understand your fear. Perhaps one day I will, I know that your dreams frighten me and Valiant, but now is not the time to discuss this. Lessons dearheart, I will defend you.
With that, the barred weyrling was forced along to the lesson, not even looking at K'met as she sat down hurriedly, looking straight ahead of her with a pale face even as Mermaiyeth paused at K'met. Clearly debating whether to apologise for her bonded's behaviour, finally deciding not to and trotting to rest her head against Beka's knee.

T'lat entered the classroom with Hansth at his heels. Iron and Emerald clung to T'lat. T'lat had only allowed them to come along if they were quite and the were almost always obenittant. Hansth said to T'lat has he seem to but T'lat to were the others were Mine go sit with the others you need to quit trying to be so alone. There is no reason to afraid. None of them are going to hurt you. If they were then I would protect you form them. Hansth knew that the only people his trusted was Holleth and her rider and Tinth and his rider. Yet T'lat reluctently sat closer to the others and sat down and Hansth curled closly around his ridder to make him feel safer.

This time, Ketara had not only arrived on time, she was even a little early. Now she knew what the lesson was on, and- shock of shocks, Axeth actually got to participate! The somewhat subdued blue was waiting outside, a little wary of the bronze rider- something that hadn't happened since he was shelled.
How many weyrlings are there?
Ketara didn't trouble to hide the touched smile that spread her full lips. Ever since Heverth had taken her side, the blue had been much more considerate of her.
Five. Don't worry, love. I think you get to demonstrate first...
She glanced at the Weyrling Master, who looked as cool as a stone. She wished she felt like that, but...she was nervous. The entire class had seen her lose it last lesson, and well, she was younger than a lot of them. It would be interesting to see how this lesson would go.

Amarna quietly walked in with Holleth sleepily stumling along at her side. They would not be late! Amarna smiled wheen she noticed the small crowd that was already there. She nodded in greeting to the weyrling master who nodded back and then looked around at the faces of those around her. That was when she noticed T'lat and Hansth. She quickly went over there, amazed that T'lat was sitting anywhere near the group. It must mean that he was getting a little bit bolder. Smiling she sat down beside him and Holleth curled up at her side. She uncontiously rubbed Holleth's head knobs as she said, "Hi T'lat. How are you and Hansth doing?"

Another lesson? Jacklith looked around the room as His and the little Bronze walked in. This was boring to the Bronze...why come to these things when you could learn half the things on your own?!
Z'ris looked down at his dragon with a knowing look. He didn't want to be here, Z'ris could tell. It's a part of becoming a grown dragon dear heart, we go through it together.
Jacklith snorted and took a place near the middle of the classroom, giving Z'ris no choice but to follow.

D'rshan was determined to be early to the second lesson, so he was constantly annoying Princth with his pacing. The brown had been irritable all morning, so it was looking unlikely that the dragonet would be very talkative or responsive during the lesson.
Ironically, the lesson was about communication, so D'rshan was apprehensive about how things would turn out. Taking a seat next to the violet weyrling, D'rshan smiled shyly, trying his best to be friendly but falling short. "Good morning. Are you excited for today's lesson?"
He ducked his head slightly, blushing despite his efforts not to. Extending a slender hand, D'rshan apologized, "Pardon me. I'm D'rshan and that is Princth. Pleased to meet you."

Inolyn smiled brightly, shaking D'rshan's offered hand gently "It's very nice to formally meet you, I am Inolyn and this is Jorindath." The violet turned her head around, acknowldging her introdution by blinking her blue eyes. The lighter violet splatter-like marking on her forehead was becoming a more destinguishing color in her growth since hatchling.
"She's being rather fussy today, normally she's happy to attend lessons but not today..." Inolyn said with a little sigh. At least Jorindath didn't fight her about needing to be here.

T'lat had really been just staring at the floor when he heard Amarna's voice and she sat down beside him. He smiled at her and Emerald flew over and curled up on Amarnas shoulder. T'lat smiled at her and said to her " Hello Amarna. Hello Holleth. We are fine how are you doing?" T'lat just kept looking at Amarna and just sat there and reached out and began to pet Hansth's head knobs. Then Iron climbed up onto T'lat's shoulders rubbed his head aginst T'lat cheek to comfront T'lat becuase him and his pet had been together longer than T'lat had been with Hansth or Emerald and therefore was able to more esaly recoinze when his pet was neverous. T'lat then smiled at the firelizard and said " Thanks my little freind."

Amarna smiled back and said, "We are fine, thank you." Amarna smiled as the little green flit climbed on her shoulder and she greeted the flit and got ready for the lesson to began.
J'kyl ran in, hoping that he wouldn't be late for the lesson. Poor Grimth was working hard to keep up with his. Mine, can't we slow down at all? Not if we plan on making the lesson. J'kyl burst into the room, out of breath with Grimth following behind him. Looking around, J'kyl decided to Zadari and Maiath. Zadari had had a dragon before and had gone through all the lessons before, so she might be easier to ask questions of than the weyrling masters. He sat down near her and said, "Hey Zadari, how are you and Maiath?" It never hurt to meet knew people. Suddenly, Kifer popped out of between, startling him before the little tan flit gently landed on his should and curled around his neck.

Maiath looked more startled than her rider that someone else had come to say hello, staring at Grimth without a single word of greeting, though she did nod her head at him shyly before buring her face in her bonded's lap. Zadari chuckled and stroked her neck gently before looking up at her fellow weyrling with a grin. It felt much better than frowning, so much better, how would she ever thank Maiath for all she'd given her?
"Hello, J'kyl." She paused, chuckling as Crystal peeked from around her neck at the boy, inspecting him as any queen would, apparently he wasn't going to give her away though, so she chirped and curled herself around Zadari's neck. "We're fine, Maiath's just shy, how are you and Grimth?"
*
Mermaiyeth had accepted that Hers wasn't going to talk to anyone, but that didn't mean she wasn't allowed to. Hm, who did she want to talk to? Kayth was a lovely bronze, very nice to talk to but the way hers was glaring daggers the moment the thought crossed her mind made her huff, so she looked towards Ketara. She might not think Axeth very nice, but she would have to talk to the blue, she didn't want to talk to the strange woman.
Axeth... What will we be learning today? Will Yours help Mine after you show us what to do? Mind voice becoming much softer and unsure when talking to the older dragon, Mermaiyeth glanced again at Ketara. Would the other lady know she was talking to her dragon? If she didn't would Axeth tell her? Oh Hers was not going to be happy that Memaiyeth had asked for help, but she knew Hers got confused sometimes.

D'rshan smiled genuinely at her, eyes lighting up as he watched the violet. "She'll be huge when she's grown! She makes Princth look like a green in terms of size."
I am not as small as a sharding green![/color]
Princth turned yellow-green eyes on his rider, peevishly butting him on the arm. D'rshan rubbed an eye ridge affectionately, but spoke to Inolyn. "He insists he isn't, but he is small for a brown in any case."

"If he thinks he's small now..." Inolyn gave Jorinath a little nod, the violet rising to her feet. Stretching out her wings, showing the lavender wing membrane clearly she managed to stand on her hind legs as she showned her true size. I am the largest of the clutch, I am sorry but can't help but make others seem small And she settled back down again back onto the floor.
"She's the violet who shold have been a gold, hatched from a queen egg so she was always meant to be big. It's hust going to be more hidefor me to scrub and more belly to fill."

J'kyl smiled and said, "Both of us are fine and happy, just nto used to morning wake ups. We suspected that you might already know the lesson."
******************** K'met smiled silently at the weyrlings and said to Heverth, I want you to tell them what we are doing, since we are working on communication. Alright, I'll do all the work. then Heverth projected his thoughts ot all of them, Alright everyone, enough talking. Today we are doing a little communication warmup game and then moving onto basci dragon healing. The way this game works is the rider chooses a physical activity like jogging in place for someone else to do. Then, they tell there dragon. Then, the dragon, repeats it to there's, tell, me, mine, and the dragon of the rider that their rider picked. They say this at the same time while not projecting it to everyone. Then, the dragon passes the action to the rider and the rider does it and continues to until someone else tells them to do differently. The rider continues the pattern. If anyone does it wrong they are out. We continue going till everyone is doing something or there is a winner. Me and mine can tell when you have done something wrong. We will start so that all of you can hear it when I pass it to Ketara and her Axeth. Let's use the jogging in place one K'met silently told Heverth. Then Heverth told everyone as the example, Axeth, mine wants your Ketara to jog in place. Then Heverth said only to Axeth, Can you tell Ketara to everyone just so that they can all hear how you pass it? Then please follow the rules to pass it to whoever your Ketara chooses.

How were they late? Jerglith skidded to a stop in the classroom, Aleyi not far behind. Brooke clung to the girl's shoulder, eyes whirling and claws digging through clothes and skin. The young Gold was not used to Hers running to get anywhere. But they had been way down in the kitchens; Aleyi had her work cut out caring for two newly hatched creatures and herself.
Well... at least it didn't look like too much was happening. As Jerglith settled next to Grimth, followed by Aleyi and her still-tense fire-lizard, Heverth began projecting orders to the dragonets. Aleyi sighed softly with relief as her Blue relayed them to her and began stroking Brooke to calm the hatchling down.
~~~~
N'ren was beginning to grow very sure that if he didn't practically drag Johannesth to any lesson that didn't include something the Tan might enjoy (like oiling, as the first lesson had), he would be late to all of them. How had he ended up with a Tan so unwilling to do anything when sitting around was what N'ren hated most?
Well, we made it at least, Johannesth mumbled as he sat down near the entrance to the classroom. Hopefully he would be able to leave soon, this game didn't sound too exciting. Telling his to jog in place? Or someone else? Odd orders like that couldn't possibly lead to something interesting.
Who's that? Oh, Mermaiyeth. Communication. Listen for Heverth.
Axeth kept his conversation short, because he and Ketara were- not precisely arguing, but debating. Unbeknownst to Ket, their entire conversation was audible to the rest of the class.
Jog in place.
Is this part of the lesson?
Of course. Then you pick out someone to do something.
Thanks. Wasn't paying much attention.
Do it
Ketara began jogging in place, keeping her fists balled up near her ribs. Her feet were light- she'd always been good at this exercise.
Axeth, tell Heverth and Maiath that I'd like Zadari to begin touching her toes. No knee bending.
Axeth related the message, adding, ...and aren't you glad you didn't wear a skirt today.
"Yes, I have. Most of them unless it changes. Communication isn't hard, just learning to be able to communicate with your dragon, and other riders." Nodding toward K'met after she said this, Zadari was distracted as the bronze spoke to them all, Maiath jumped at the bronze's voice and pressed even tighter against Zadari's legs as he explained the exercise.
Then the blue spoke to her and Maiath very nearly curled up into her little ball, eyes whirling as she turned to Hers. She didn't want to tell Zadari what to do! Mine... Mhm? Axeth's wants to to touch your toes, no bending your knees. Sounding unsure as she told this to her rider, the little green tilted her head as Zadari pulled a face and did as she was told. Crystal automatically voiced dissaptroval of the movement as she clung to Zadari's neck, refusing to move. Love? Yes Mine? Is that hard? No, not really. You get used to doing this sort of thing. Or I did. Now, Maiath, can you do something for me? I need you to tell Heverth and Maideneth that I'd like Earisa to jump on the spot. O-okay. She sounded uncertain though as she reached out to both bronze and green, Maideneth... M-mine would like yours to jump on the spot...Is that okay?
*
Mermaiyeth nodded slightly as the blue responded, turning her head to pay attention to the class. Hers might not look up, but she was listening, or she wouldn't have winced as the bronze spoke, an alien voice in her mind. Crooning reassuringly, Mermaiyeth shook her head slightly as the assistant weyrling master admitted she hadn't been listening. That wasn't good. Hopefully though, Hers wouldn't be chosen to do something, Beka would probably freeze, even if it was an order from her bonded.
It will be okay Mine. Mermaiyeth assured her, nodding her head again as Maiath looked about ready to curl up into a little ball and hide. Hers would like to do that too, but she wasn't going to let her.
Mine! Mine! Maiath says you need to jump on the spot! In her excitement Maideneth was jumping on the spot too.
How long do we need to do this for?
Don't know but it's fun!!! Pass it on! Pass it on!
Umm, okay! Ur...T'lat and Hansth! Tell Hansth that the T'lat has to clap his hands! This was already starting to tirer her out a little, she wouldn't be able to keep it up for very long but at least she got the point across that she got the message. And don't forget to tell Haventh what you told Hansth
Hansth!!! Your's must clap his hands!
T'lat was sitting there and when he heard the instructions for the game he knew then and there that it was going to end up very very bad for him. T'lat just sat there and in his mind he just kept saying over and over again Don't pick me. Don't pick me. Don't pick me. Then Hansth said to T'lat Mine Maideneth says you need to clap your hands T'lat's mind froze at this point and he did not say nothing to the bronze nor did he do anything. T'lat had already used up all his nerve just to sit closer to everyone else. He knew that to do anything else in front of a crowd of people would probely cause him to faint. Hansth then nudged T'lat and said to him Mine did you hear me. The bronze countied to stare at T'lat and then said to him Mine now come on there is nothing to be afraid of it's just clapping your hands. It's simple. No one is going to laugh at you I promise. I won't let them.
T'lat just rested his elbows on his knees and held his head up with his hands and said to the bronze Just leave me alone Hansth. I did what you wanted and sat closer to the group. I am not going to do anything else. I want to be left alone. Beside I think I get the concept that is trying to be taught here. The bronze just mentally sighed and kept nudging T'lat still trying to get his bonded to come out of shell. Even T'lats two firelizard were trying to help the bronze by tugging at T'lat's shirt and sending him cromforting images and trying to do what they could to convice him to do it. Yet T'lat just looked at Hansth and said Just please stop it my love. This is one argument you are not going to win.
Hansth just mentally sighed again and then rested his head in his bondeds lap and was very worried about what would happen to his because he was not doing anything. He then said Oh Mine when are you going to stop being afraid of the others.
