"You would live on, but only in a half state. My mother lost her dragon, but I never saw her actually ever look happy again, but you live on. You live for those who love you, your flits, maybe friends and family members, pets. That is what my mother always told me when I asked, and then she would go and cry, so I learned not to ask," Amarna said, remebering her mother's half state, witch had seemed strange at the time, but now she thought she could understand it a little better. "Zadari is living proof of the fact that you live on," Amarna stated quietly. She couldn't think of life without Holleth now, every option without Holleth seemed horrible now. Then she added in a whisper, "Though, I do not know what I would do without Holleth now, used to be I couldn't understand the connection between a dragon and rider, but now, now, if I didn't have Holleth..." She let the thought wonder off, not really sure if she would take her life or if she would live on like her mother. The only reason she could see hanging on for was for someone that she loved, but even that might not hold her to Pern.

T'lat just looked over at Amarna and siad " Me personally if Hansth dieing I would probley have him take me with him. Becuase I think going bettewwen like that would really be the esaest way to go. Becuase I really have nothing here on Pern that is that valuable that is worth more to me than Hansth. So basiclly if he dies I die too." He looked at her to see her reaction yet he suspected that she expected that kind of morbid type answer form him anyway. So he just looked at her waiting for her response.

Amarna was almost saddened by this answer. She had hoped that he might see that maybe there was something to stay for. Something to live for. Maybe there wasn't but she could name a couple flits that would miss T'lat not to mention a couple of people, like her if she was being truthfull with herself. She kept her face blank as she carefully said, "There are a couple of people that would care if you died, and a couple of flits too." Amarna let T'lat think on that, not willing to say anything more.

What Amarna siad made T'lat curious and he looked at her and siad " I know that my flits would miss me and I would hate to do that to my little ones as I like to call them. Yet I just could not go on without Hansth." He then looked at her curiouly agian thinking about the last part that she had said and wondered about what it could mean and when he had a idea he looked at he with a curious look on his face and he asked her " Would you miss me Amarna?"

Amarna sat quietly for a second, thinking about how T'lat had hit the mark dead on, but she wasn't willing to say that. Instead she said, "I am sure others will miss you too. Havn't you made any other friends around the weyr? I think that as nice a person as you are you might have more friends." Amarna was trying to beat a dead bush, but she had answered without having to exact;y say it, she had answered subtley. She half hoped he would notice and half hoped he would notice her answer.

T'lat thought about her answer and siad " Well the only friend I have made around here is R'mer and he is it really." Yet when he thought about he answer more he could see the under lieing statement that she was putting out. He smiled at her and then he dediced to supirse her and he reached over and hugged her for a mintue and siad to her " Thank you Amarna you have made me fill alot better." He then let go of her and he looked at her and smiled with a slight blush to his face.

Amarna was surprised when T'lat hugged her, she really hadn't been expecting it. She wasn't a person that much showed her emotions, she wasn't big into that hug everybody world, and she hadn't thought that T'lat was, so there was probably a reason, and it was probably the one that he had said becasue he had gotten the underlying layers of the message. Smiling slightly she said, "Sure R'mer is your only friend...?" She let that hang because at that moment Holleth had decided to get out of the water and be oiled. MINE, I want oil now. I like oiling, and I think I have rinsed myself off enough for now, havn't I? Of course you have rinsed yourself off enough. With that, Amarna stood up, and went to oil Holleth, the little dragon always came first.

Hansth followed Holleth out of the water and siad to T'lat If Holleth is ready to be oiled then I am to. Will you oil me now Mine? T'lat smiled at the bronze and said to him Of course I will oil you my love. T'lat then went over to Hansth and began to oil him. Spreading the oil on all over him and the bronze would giude T'lat to the spot that were the most itchy. T'lat as he was doing this turned to Amarna and said to her " No my dear Amarna. R'mer is not my only friend. I aslo have you my dear." He smiled at her and again a small blush came to his face.

Amarna oiled Holleth thouroughly and was just finishing as Holleth said, Alright mine, NOW can I eat, please? If Holleth sounded a little whiny, it wasn't her fault that she was hungry, She was just hungry as of no fault of her own. Amarna replied, Of course we will get you some food, there are some scraps always available in the weyrling barracks, so back we go.[/color] Holleth took off at her wobbling walk back toward the barracks as fast as she could. Amarna made a comment to T'lat as she picked up the buckets that she had used the sweetsand and oil from, "We rush and we rush, but inbetween, we will always find ourselves with nothing to do when they nap, so I really don't understand the rush, but obviously a little dragons demands can not be ignored." With that Amarna had to do a short sprint to catch up with her waddling Holleth. Holleth noticed and said, Mine, hurry up, you are lagging. To that, Amarna just laughed.

T'lat smiled at her has he finished oiling Hansth. Hansth siad to him Mine I am hungry now will you take me to get food to. T'lat smiled at the bronze and siad " Ok my friend." T'lat then picked up his buckets of oil and sweetsand he had broth and him and Hansth cuaght up to Amarna. He then smiled at her and siad " Yes I agree. They always seem to want somthing and they always know what they want. Yet Hansth seem unsure of himself alot though." T'lat shrugged abit as he said this last sentance though.

"Walking a touch behind Holleth she commented, "I am not quite sure how they could be unsure of themselves, but I guess it could be possible, like Holleth not really carring if she is called barred or green. It might be that she is not to all sure, but about food and bathing, there is no unsurity in that." With that, Amarn a realized how far ahead of her that Holleth had waddled and she had to almost run to catch up to the waddling dragon, who had reached the barracks. Quickly they entered, and out of the new habit Amarna was gaining, Amarna immediatly started cutting strips and feeding them, she didn't even have to have Holleth pushing her to.

T'lat looked at her and siad " I don't really understand it really ethier. Yet it actullay is a bit reassuring knowing that he is alot like me I guess." He had soon aslo cuaght to Hasnth and began to cut up strips and was soon feeding the bronze dragon. T'lat just smiled as he looked at the little dragon and then he turned to Amarna and siad " Yet still I don't really know. Maybe it's just that I worry to much about things." The last sentance was really one that he had been saying more to himself than to Amarna.

"Hmm, maybe it is reasuring, I think that being shure about things would be more reasuring, a confident pillar to lean. But maybe it isn't, maybe some of us are more suited for the unsure dragon, the dragon that either questions things or let things slide. Maybe there is a greater purpose in life..." Lainy said all of this while feeding Holleth, and then realized that Holleth was almost falling asleep on her. Gently she helped the little dragon to the room, and then realized that once again she was in the same spot, with nothing to do. Life really seemed to go in circles sometimes, especially for the young dragons.
