D’mas scooped up a few good sized stones, for some reason being awfully picky about choosing those that seemed just right for Kayth. With small, fair pile in hand he fed the first rock to his bronze. The sound was almost like a grinding or a very loud crunching to the young bronze rider, but it was withstand able. There was nothing after the first, Kayth said he felt something after the second and just after the third when he was about to ask for a fourth a flicker of flame was burped from his jaws.
“You did it Kayth!” the excitement of knowing his dragon took little effort at all to achieve a flame numbed the feelings of its undazzling display. That wasn’t impressive, can we try more? ok, but only a little more

Inolyn was a little wary, Jorindath half grown was reaching over the size of their assistant master’s blue, Axeth. Would these small stones be enough for the violet? A number of them could fit into her mouth alone, and their small size might make them hard for her to chew properly. None the less she sought for some larger pieces, returning to her violet to offer what she had.
The other dragons were producing small flames, but after the armful of firestones Inolyn had fed her Jorindath still had nothing. You thought about your second stomach when you swallowed? Did you chew them enough? Did you chew them too much?
I did everything we were told to, and I’m starting to feel sick… Maybe we should try a little more or we will have to start again. Inolyn raced to get some more pieces, Jorindath chewing them carefully. The violet was still chewing when she suddenly went stiff and breathed a fairly decent flame. Oh! I feel better now, maybe I wasn’t feeling sick after all
~~~~~~
Maideneth wanted to chew the stones she wanted to, but Earisa held her back. If the little green got to the pile it would only be disastrous, though how she couldn’t imagine with the energy Maidenth possessed. “Sit and behave!” Earisa told her firmly as she picked out a few the size chewable for her little green.
Three chews, that’s all it took…
Ow! My tongue! It stings! The small stone fragments were spat from her mouth as she swung her head back and forth in pain. “Hold still and let me see, you silly dragon.” When eventually Maidenth opened her mouth and stuck out her tongue there was a clear puncture in the front left side, tiny drop of ichor showing the tell tale spot.
