Kyrissa and Opheliath
Both Kyrissa and Opheliath were shivering by this point and were grateful to get into the shallower waters. Kyrissa collected the rag and oil, setting the bucket down in reach but out of the water. She dunked the rag into the bucket, covering it in oil, then liberally smeared it over Opheliath's hide. Oh, that feels good. "I am glad it is. It is meant to." Kyrissa replied cheerily, continuing to smear the oil, re-dunking the rag when needed. Being a smallish dragonet, it didn't take long for Kyrissa to finish the oiling.
R'kah and Claudiuth
Claudiuth grumbled as he made his way to the shallows, R'kah stumbling as he followed. Hurry up. I really itch, really really itch. "Ok, I am coming." R'kah replied, passing Claudiuth to collect the rag and bucket of oil. He dipped the cloth in the oil, then started to smear it. Not like that. That isn't enough. Get more on the cloth first. R'kah rolled his eyes as he redipped the cloth, literally saturating it with oil before smearing again. Claudiuth crooned happily as his itching began to stop irritating so much.

((Really short one- a bit crunched on time!))
Just sand and oil? D'raco could do that, sure.
"Okay, Lu, time to get clean."
Clean? Oh goodie! I like clean, I feel so dirty and that brown won't stop following Lupercaliath, and I'm all bloody and the water's cold!
D'raco wisely ignored the hatchling's rambles, scrubbing the light teal hide, and removing all traces of the previous meal.

K'laon watched the weyrlings for a bit, shaking his head and chuckling at the shivering dragons, then turned back to Amirinth. Interesting bunch we've got here, he commented as he rubbed generous oil on her throat. The Green purred happily, her eyes whirling with color. She loved baths.
They'll get used to the water eventually. Amirinth supposes they hatched too close to the end of winter; the water's still very cold but the overall weather isn't so bad. She wouldn't call the lake freezing, nothing could be called freezing once one had experienced between, but it was cold. She didn't mind it though, and neither did K'laon. This wasn't anything new, just flying was colder than the lakewater.
K'laon finished with Amirinth and watched the less experienced weyrlings finish up, then placed his hands on his hips and smiled widely at them. "Well, that's that. Not too hard, right? Just be sure to get it done whenever your dragon asks, hungry and crack-skinned dragons won't do the Weyr much good."
Amirinth rumbled and gave herself a good shake, just to make up for going a whole bath without splashing her rider. And you are released, little ones. She nudged K'laon. Better eat breakfast K'laonMine, not much longer until sweeps. It wasn't hard to keep herself and her rider busy at the Weyr.

Finally! Can we go now? Hearth does not want to stay around these others any longer Hearth complained to N'lel. "Yes, Hearth, we can go now" N'lel told his dragon, then sighed. Why did Hearth have to be so grumpy and stubborn? Is there any possibility of your behavior improving? No! Hearth snapped angrily. N'lel grinned, he knew Hearth just didn't like the thought of his attitude being called bad.
N'lel waded carefully out of the water, wishing again Hearth hadn't wanted to go so far in. Next time, I want to go deeper. "That's ridiculous! How much do you think you'll grow? You need to accept the fact you aren't the biggest dragon around. Hearth ignored N'lel and walked stubbornly over to the Weyrling Barracks.

The moment they were released, Valentinth shot straight out of the water. She waited patiently at the edge for Lidi to catch up to her. I am so glad that is over with! Valentinth does not like the water, LidiMine. It will eventually feel warmer Valentinth Lidi told her dragon. Valentinth still seemed confused by this but Lidi just walked up and ignored her questions. Valentinth would get used to the water, especially after a trip between.
Lidi shivered. She was kinda looking forward to the trip between they would eventually make, but she was also worried about it. What if they didn't come out of between? What if they ended up in the wrong spot, or ended up underground? Don't worry, LidiMine, Valentinth will not lead you astray, even in between. Lidi felt slightly reassured by this, and walked with her dragon to the barracks.
