Generally, she was happy. Shiane had always been content with what she was given, and Shiask gave her a level of adoration she'd never thought possible. The wher was generally quiet, but so intelligent, between them they'd worked out a series of sounds that meant different things to help her along. A low, short croon in the back of his throat warned her of a slippery or steep slope, a short, sharp bark-like-cough told her of a step upwards, or some other obstacle over which she had to step.
Which meant the wher was hardly from her side too, and she honestly didn't like it when he wasn't. She'd thought it would have been awkward, but seeing as he hadn't had the urge to chase, Shi saw no reason why she wouldn't love him as much as any creature ever. Rather than even heat images, impressions of a smell or sound were touched on her mind, things she would completely understand. Still, it was hard for Shi to completely understand even the people she would soon work closely with, they didn't understand the world of darkness in her world,a nd secondly, only a few of them understood the idea of a male mind bonded to a female mind.
A curious humming sound jolted her from her thoughts, and Shiane tilted her head towards the sound. Obviously, Shiask was finished eating, though he hadn't been long. Frowning slightly as she shifted on the grass, she smiled reassuringly as she feltthe press of his hunger against her mind.
"I'm fine." This was accompanied with feelings of reassurance and love, urging him back to his food. It was kind of lonely out there though, maybe someone else would come along and keep her company while Shiask fed. Unlikely though.
