Pronunciation! I know it may sound kinda lame, especially for me to start this, as I have pretty straight forward names. But I know how frustrating it is when you absolutely love you characters name, and then realise everyone else is saying it wrong. So here we have PRONUNCIATION *echoechoecho*!!! Just post your characters names and how to actually say them. Also if you have some other words you want to clarify how to say, then this is now the place! Here’s mine (and don’t roll your eyes at me! ) Raiin = Rain Iindi = In-dy Grei = Grey That's all I've got, but I'm not really doing this for me, I'm doing it for those of you who have really confusing names.... Only 'cos I fail at anything spelling to saying wise!

That's always bothered me too, especially since it seems like nearly everyone pronounces Tirasha's name wrong. o.O Also, looks like I've been saying Raiin and Iindi's names wrong too. xP Usually when I see two i's together, I add an extra syllable: Ray-in, Ee-in-dee... I'll have to stop that. Dx
Anyways, figure I'll put some of mine up. I'm sure you can figure out Kora, N'ren, J'ran, and Salise though. xD
Aleyi: Uh-lay-ee Tirasha: tear(like teardrop)-ah-shuh Lyanni: Lee-ann-ee Pari(Japarill): Par-ee (or Jap-ar-rill if you do his full name)
Dragons/Fire-lizards ...because I suppose mine may need some help there too. *flails* Whers I'll let you figure out from their handler's name though. Tianthe: Tee-anth (kind of like ankh but with a th instead of a k o.O) Ekirith: Ekk-ear-ith <-- But the middle syllable is very i-ish too just... elongated to be ear-ish. If that makes any sense. Johannesth: Joe-haunn-esth
I think that should be good... :0

I have decided to post because I think everyone will eventually get Dirta's name wrong.
Dirta: Deer-tay Jekel: Ge-kel (soft 'g') Transiit: Tran-zit (not the hardest.......) And I will only do one of Dirta's firelizards because the girls are easy. Kazyekaen: Kaz-ee-kain (You have to say it fast for it to work properly)

I forgot something With Jekel's name the 'J' is disjointed. So with his honorific name it wont be any different. I realised that after I made him.

I always thought my characters had names of mild pronounciation, but it never hurts to clarify. This is just the way i pronounce them, even if its wrong >.<
D'mas = De-mass L'han = Le-han Inolyn = In-o-lin Itunas = It-tun-us R'mal = Re-maul Zukah = Zoo-ka Lianly = Lee-an-lee Earisa = E-ri-sa Liona = Lee-o-na K'nam = Ke-nam

I won't touch on J'reth and his minions because they are all directly derived from Jim Henson's Labyrinth.
Sabre, on the other hand...
Sabrenti = sa-bren-ti Sabre = say-bur Sabresk = zab-resk Akila = a-ky-la Kelna = kell-na Echidna = e-kid-na Chartreuse = shar-troos ((soft 's')) India = in-di-a
