It was possibly...no, it was not the worst day of R'mer's life.
It was simply the most irritating. He'd got out of bed the wrong side, that had to be it.
His klah had been stale, he had dropped his breakfast tray and had to go back for another. Tinth was in one of his moods, refusing to in any way cooperate with the fitting of a new set of fighting straps.
Thunder had been in a worse mood, squawking at both of them, buzzing Tinth and eventually having to be sent away in disgrace.
R'mer's best flight jacket had apparently been gnawed on by a tunnelsnake. His lunch, stew, had been spilled all over one of his favorite shirts.
And now? He had just stubbed his toe on a rock in the bowl. "That *does* it. I'm going back to bed!"

Kyrissa was out for a walk, Scraps perched on her left shoulder with Daisy flying ahead when she heard a male voice cursing. There, just up ahead was the source and she had to stop herself laughing at the vehemence in the voice. Daisy zipped forward, creating even more space between herself and Kyrissa. Scraps launched off of Kyrissa's shoulder, shooting forward to corral his errent sister, chittering angrily at her for having the audacity of flying so far ahead.
"Oh you two. Now stop it." Kyrissa called out to the two flits, this day was so not going well. First Opheliath, normally happy enough to accompany Kyrissa on her walks, had flatly refused saying that she wasn't in the mood for a walk. Then the tunic she had wanted to wear had got a stain on it. Now her two firelizards were arguing. "Right, that's it. What is with you two today?" Scraps and Daisy simply continued with their angrily chittering at each other.

"I think it's something in the air," R'mer called over to Kyrissa, who was clearly having issues with her firelizards.
At that point, of course, Thunder showed back up, but there was no apology in his manner. Instead, he darted to join the other two...and, of course, joined in the argument.
"I'm this close to...seriously. I want to go back to my weyr and pull the blankets over my head," R'mer complained, crossing to join Kyrissa. "Do you have the bad day thing going on too? You do look rather like I feel."
Honestly... "And can't you noisy guys just...like...go between or something?"
Thunder ignored him. Completely.

The yougn skyrider turned at the voice somewhere to the side of her and saw R'mer walking towards her. "Then how is it not affecting us?" She asked, even as her mind wondered exactly what was causing all of the things that was making it a bad day.
Scraps, at the sight of the blue, only got louder in his chittering. No other firelizard, especially not a blue, was going to make Daisy stray, at least in the bronze's mind. Daisy, however, had other ideas and began to croon flirtaciously to the blue. Who was closer to her own size then Scraps was and that gave him an edge against the bronze, in her mind.
"Do I ever." Kyrissa replied, shaking her head in disbelief, how could two people be having such a bad day on the same day? Well, obviously it was happening yet she could discern no reason for it. She ran a hand over her face, a sign of just how bad a day she thought this was turning out to be.

It could just be coincidence. "Sharding firelizards," R'mer grumbled. "Thunder, stop flirting."
Then he added. "Tinth, stop eyeing that green on that other ledge. She's always that color."
Sigh. He did not need *that* today.
At least he was probably safe from ending up with Kyrissa. The sky dragon was more likely to be flown by a brown or tan than a blue, and he would much rather wake up next to K'laon or T'mar.
T'mar would definitely not be bad to wake up next to at all. But the green Tinth was eyeing had a female rider.
Sigh.
"Include dragons in that, or is YOURS at least being good?"
Tinth sent a mental snort at that, wordless but eloquent nonetheless.
