Name: Robin
Age: Ten Turns
Rank: Weyrbrat
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Unknown
Appearance: Robin is as small as the bird she was named for, in build at least. Yet, even at ten, there’s no denying that Robin could grow to be very beautiful. Now, she has innocence on her side, though without all that annoying baby fat that doesn’t normally shred until she got thirteen turns, or maybe more. Robin, instead is almost stick skinny, she doesn’t have any weight on her bones, a result of a sickness she’s still recovering from.
Even so, Robin is no more a sink into the background girl than any one, with the strange combination of her hair and skin. Oddly enough, Robin seems completely unique with her lightly bronzed skin, tanned from the sun and naturally darker than the usual fair skin, and chestnut hair. It seems to suit little Robin though, where it might not anyone else. Robin’s eyes are a dark brown, sparkling with mischief most of the time, but always alert and ready to take in everything she can.
Facially, Robin is rather soft and gentle, but with that playfulness that covers everything she does. With quite large eyes, Robin can pull off the “doe-eyed innocent look” like no one else in her family, coupled with a deadly crooked smile, she’s known well for that sort of charm that isn’t always lovely, but it draws people like a magnet none the less. Rosy cheeks make up the finality of her facial features, just adding to that charm that she carries.
Mostly, Robin is usually “the skinny one”, she doesn’t stand out much apart from the fact that she eats more than most of the boys, and doesn’t gain any weight. Even before the bout of firehead that left her weakened, she was always average in height. There’s muscles there though, even at ten, all that running, jumping and playing making their mark.
Personality: Robin. Robin. Robin.
It’s something that this girl hears every day, something of a reprimand for the young ‘brat. Robin is one of those girls you just worry for, not because of height or stature, but for the sake that she never ever seems ready to grow up. She still plays like she was six turns old, still hits the boys and runs away, still taunts like there’s nothing she’d rather be doing than sending you between with annoyance. At the same time, there’s nothing malicious about Robin, she’s just a pest, one you dislike, but love.
Robin always has to be moving, no matter what it is. Tapping her foot, running with the boys. She just has to be doing something, it drives her insane when she’s stationary, unable to do anything. But it also frightens her, from the bout of firehead, there’s nothing on Pern that can frighten Robin more than the dark and being held down. Unable to move. Trapped. Such as, Robin also has issues with keeping promises, which is why this little girl never makes promises, ever. She’ll say “I’ll try” or “We’ll see” but never “I promise.” Mostly, because she gets rather distracted, and often forgets that she even made the promise at all. On top of that, Robin can’t really commit to anything, it needs to hold her attention and quite frankly, the ten turn old’s attention span is almost legendary. If you’ve got her undivided attention for longer than a few seconds, you’re incredibly lucky.
Hot tempered, Robin is quick to take offense, and will happily take your head off for a minor insult. Yet, with Robin, this is never the end. Oh no. Robin is the type to hold a grudge, a long painful one. Days, months after the incident, there’ll be something squishy in your bed. Or worse. Something with teeth.
History: Robin was born to Rolan and Ilyna. Despite the fact that Rolan was Dnor's uncle, and older brother to his father by many turns, Robin has never met her cousin. Or much of her family at all really, Ilyna was always a very reclusive person, and after having her one and only daughter, this only became more so. She loved her spouse, and her daughter. That was all the company the young woman needed. Even if as she grew, Robin proved different from either parent, so much so that it wasn’t surprising she learnt how to sneak out to play at a young age. Wrestling, playing, mud fights. It was all very natural for Robin, who’s playfulness never stopped.
It was around four that Robin would meet the boy who would very quickly become her best friend. Sparrow was everything Robin wanted in a friend, he played tricks too, and they made the perfect team. Robin was sneaky where Sparrow was quick. At first though, Robin might never have liked him. Different from most other girls, Robin had never been shy when meeting new people. Sparrow proved another case, the five turn old had been something of a nice person, but still, Robin smiled shyly and hid behind her older friends. Then with a soft ‘hi’, she might have high tailed it were it not for the mud fight that began with Sparrow. And thus a glorious friendship began.
Only a two weeks ago, Rolan came down with Firehead, like all cases, it was believed that it was simply a cold. Until the holder was offered a lift back from a gather in Danac by a rider. Unusual, but the riders seemed to be a bit more open like that, or perhaps he was Searching for candidates and was already going there. Whichever, the result was Firehead. Despite healer efforts, Ilyna caught it too, and finally, the healthy as anything Robin. Perhaps it was that her weaving mother and father weren’t out of doors as much as Robin, or perhaps her younger body dealt with it easier, but the results were the same. They got worse, and Robin remained the same. When the fever finally broke and Robin began to recover, that was said to be a turning point, but it didn’t stop the truth. She’d lost her parents. Taken to Nyocia, with Robin still recovering, D'nor is her only family, and thus, her new guardian.
Pets:
Other: Apart from she's wonderful at sneaking around without getting caught?
-If a Rider:
Dragon Name: Sirristh
Dragon Age: hatchling
Dragon Size: 23 meters
Dragon Color: Barred,
The dusky silver-green color of Sirristh’s hide manages to make her skin always look like it’s a little drier than it should be, yet it seems to retain oil better than most dragon’s. She is a little long in all areas of the body, especially her muzzle, tail, and wings, but on the small side of Barreds at just under 23 meters.
Dragon Personality: Personality: Sirristh likes to do things herself and can get really irritated when others try to help out, something she views more as them getting in the way. She generally likes people, but can be a little snappish and is a ‘do it all’ sort of character. Leading others seems to come natural to her, but when she does, she’s smart about it but also prefers being in complete control. Being the quick and opinionated dragon she is, Sirristh does, at least, make a good Searchdragon
