Candidate lesson

Kett and Haith entered the candidate common room together and Kett gave off a small sigh. It was time for a candidate lesson. The candidates had it easy most of the time, help when needed, do chores and hang around. Today they would learn work. Kett already had her supplies for the lesson preparred. Her lesson would be a long lesson, but it was needed in preparation for the hatching.

Go ahead and call the candidates Haith.

Candidates, My rider wants you in the common room for a lesson. Haith called out with her mind to all the candidates. That was part of having to be the candidate master; you had to know all the candidate names and the dragon had to be able to call to their minds.

“YAY, CANDI LESSONS!” Raiin wasn’t shouting, or she was trying not to, she was just very enthused as she skipped around her sibling while they were trying to walk to the common room. Raiins circular pattern was hindering more than helping.

“Raiin, if you again cross in front of me while I’m trying to walk, I will personally feed you to my dragon at the first chance I get.” Iindi was acting particularly foul this morning, probably to hide her excitement, and nervousness, from her easily excited older sister.

“But you don’t have a dragon yet!” Raiin was still perky, but she did stop bouncing in a circle.

“And I don’t really think a dragonet, or even a dragon would eat somebody,” the youngest manner was that of matter-of-factly, “Well maybe a Charcoal, but you can’t get one of those.”

Iindi stuck her tongue out at her brother. “Neither can you!"

"Yeah, Well, I'm going to hang out by the lake, the firelizards are sunbaking out there now! I haven't seen you feed one!"

"Would you too stop being mean to one another! Grei, you aren't a candidate but at least you're not a pain, Iindi, you're a pain in the but, but you are however a candidate. So can't you to get along! Or at least keep clear of one another!"

"Fine." Iindi grumbled for a short while. "Well now he's not comeing, I don’t want you, yeh you Raiin, to embarrass me at the lesson ok? OK?”

“Yes ma’am!” Raiin saluted her sister, then grinned.

“Just stay on the other side of the room to me.....” Iindi said with an exasperated sigh.

“No problem, but it doesn’t matter, we’re going to walk in together, and we look alike. Plus, there’s going to be no time to embarrass you, this is our first lesson! It’ll be gruelling and painful!” The last sentence was said with such enthusiasm and delight that the taller girl had to laugh.

"Yes! Candidate lessons" Jekel said to Umber, "I hope Raiin will be there shes my only friend, normally we get boring jobs to do but we get to learn stuff today! YAY!" Jekel said that in a very unmanly tone.

"Hopefully Raiin's siblings will be there, I want to meet them, I heard that she has two Iindi and Grei although I am not sure if Grei is a candidate. Oh well. I still get to meet Raiin again."

"But this time when we meet her, Umber please don't attack her I like her and she is my only friend, so far, so don't mess this up."
Umber sent him a emotion that was kind of like saying, Whatever. But that was her fault not mine. "Of course it wasn't you always go attacking random strangers," Jekel said that to his Kagen in a very sarcastic way.

Kett smiled at the eager candidates as they cam tumbling in. As soon as they were in Kett said, "Now to begin work. As you know I am the Candidate Master Kett and my dragon is the green dragon Haith. There are more colors of dragon available to impress than when I impressed. I would like each of you to name a new color that you like and then state your name so that your classmates can get to know you."

Kett did not let them start yet, instead she added, "After you state your favorite new color of dragon I want you to come upf here and grab a slate and chalk. Please do not restate a new color someone else has already given."

Kett nodded toward one of the candidate and said, "You can start."

(OOC: In the room you can pretend there is an "order", but for OOC purposes there is no order so that everyone can post and we can move on with the lesson.)

The Candidate Master nodded at Iindi, Oh Yeah! I’m first! Wait, is white a new type of dragon? Oh no! Erm, Just say violet, no you don’t like violet...... Erm “If White classifies as a new colour, then white however I believe they’re just rare, not new..... SO I’m going to choose Teal.” Iindi’s voice was confident and strong, she was glad she got to choose first. “My name is Iindi.” Okies, got that out of the way.

She strode quickly to the pile of slates, and chose her chalk. Then spent the next few moments while her sister was talking, staring at Green Haith, who was rather stunning to look at.

Well who knew she’d choose that? There was not a trace of sarcasm in her head-voice. Well, maybe Iindi does have a sentimental side. But why do we have to say our favourite? I have two favourites, one is rare, and is probably not going to want me. The other is like a mini queen, and I don’t really want a queen, do I? Oh well......Choose one at random, chooseoneatrandom........ “Sky,” not that I’ll get one from this clutch, “and my name is Raiin.”

Collect the slate, choose a chalk, stand in line, YAY, I didn’t trip!!! Though I already know Jekel and Iindi, so they’ve both seen me stumble and embarrass myself....... So nothing would be very different. I wonder what Jekels favourite new colour would be? I thought he might like a tan, suits him...... hehe!

Okay now it is my go what am I going to choose definitley not a Charcoal maybe a bit too, hate everyone in the world, type dragon. So then what are the other colours? Tan, no a bit too big for my liking he would probably chase the Queens, Okay, um, oh this is too hard, Iindi already chose Teal, though I probably wouldn't have chosen that either, oh I am too picky, any other ones, um, Ah Yes Barred, I know they are females but now that I think about it they are just right for me, Okay.
"Um, Barred, oh and um, I am Jekel."
Okay, now that is over and done with, um, okay, chalk and slate, chalkandslate, chalkandstlate.........

"Oh no I'm late for the candidate lesson and on my first day, GREAT!" Runrunrunrunrunfastfastfastfast. Transiit was bolting down corridors so fast she run into someone and sent them flying, though she didn't turn around to see who it was. She could see the candidates and the Candidate master with her lovely green. The boy was walking up to get some chalk. What would he need chalk for?

"Just got here. I'm late," Transiit felt she didn't need to apologise it wasn't her fault she was late, "So what do I do?" She began assessing the other students. Wow that guy is weird he has a Kagen and he carried it to a lesson. WHY? He has a kind of ferret face, but his muscles are HOT, ew, did I just say that? Anyways, theres a fat girl, Transiit dismissed her straight away. And there was another girl...... Shards! There was nothing wrong with her! She was really rather pretty, she might even rival me. Again. SHARDS!



(OOC sorry Rayne. Raiin isn't actually fat but Transiit calls anyone who is short fat, so there is no offense intended. )

Iindi half imagined the candidate master telling her dragon to eat the newcomer.... Well, it would add some excitement to this lesson!!! At least say ‘Yes, you are late! Now be quiet and fall in line!’ Please tell her off, pleasepleasepleaseplease!!!

Iindi liked to see others get in trouble.... it just made her feel so much more skilled at getting away with things.
