"No, quiet." Zadari sat cross legged, infront of both her flitters and listening to Maiath mumble in her sleep behind her. Training the two of them was proving to be surprisingly, though Crystal responded far more eagerly to the command 'quiet' than Scuttle. She was beginning to think she was never going to get the blue to respond to it, even with this continual tapping on teh nose when he made a noise after being commanded to be quiet. Crystal, however, had taken to the training like... Like a dragon to the skies, she was obedient and learning quickly. Scuttle just couldn't be bothered.
Dragons are meant to fly, aren't they Mine? The softness that was Maiath's voice interupted her thoughts, and Zadari was happy enough to look up at the green, and wave Scuttle away, the sign he could go do what he liked as she stood, brushing her knees off. "Well, yes they are. And you do it very well." Indeed, Maiath might be tiny, but she could do things in the air that Zadari hadn't seen the others do. Small but fast and agile, and in threadfall, being able to move in tight quaters was what mattered.
You think so? Do you think the others think so? The males? Now Zadari was suspicious, and her eyes narrowed slightly at the green, one brow arching as she waited for the green to explain that. Yet, Maiath seemed her dainty, calm self, tail swishing gently as she gazed at her bonded, waiting for an answer. "I'm sure they do..." I don't think they do, I shall have to show them what a good flier I am, don't you think? And with that, the green moved with astounding speed, launching off the weyrledge before Zadari had time to comprehend what the sharding green had said.
Normally quiet and all but invisible, Maiath now bugled loudly, announcing her flight to the weyr and encouraging the males to join her in the skies. Here was where she belonged, flying and teasing them, they'd never be able to catch her!

I am going to practice
What?
You said I should practice on greens and barreds
Oh, Shards. Which one?
Maiath
Well, a female rider, at least, but where the heck was her Weyr? Where the green was was not a question, he could her her even as Apolloth launched. And Zadari...heck, she was older, right? Where...he had to ask, then weaved through twisting corridors to the greenrider's place.
And Apolloth was airborne, bugling his response to the small green's challenge. Practice, indeed, but it was likely to cease to be that within the space of wingbeats. Sure, she was only a green.
But she was pretty enough, and his rider, this time, did not seem too displeased. This time, he felt that B'can wanted him to win, if only so he could get some action. Up, after her, and up. SHe was gorgeous!

Heverth heard the green and was ready to go. K'met sighed, once again, Heverth had to go after those silly females. He seemed to think that he might have some chance. K'met felt sorry for Heverth, since Heverth hadn't even won a green flight in a long time.
I need practice mine. is what the bronze told his rider.
K'met just sighed and replied, Heverth, the females just don't seem attracted to you.
Heverth was quick to reply, The beautiful green Maiath should like me since I am a bronze. Though, it will be challenging, since Apolloth is competing, but I have more experience than that pip-squeak.
More experience at losing you mean. K'met replied to his dragon.
Heverth did not reply to K'met, instead, he replied to the green's challenge, I, bronze Heverth shall chase you to the end of time most beautiful Maiath. Heverth trumpeted to the green rider in reply. Heverth was ready for a win, and maybe, maybe just this time he would win. Heverth was up and after Maiath, flying for the prize!
K'met arrived at the green riders chamber and awaited the flight...

M'ran was in his weyr, studying some hides about Dragonhealing. Now that he was graduated, he wanted to pursue getting his Journeyman knots, and maybe specialize in dragons. He was startled when Firth suddenly let out a bugle, shaking the weyr. What is it, Firth?
Maiath rises! I chase! the brown declared, rising from the ledge and into the air. M'ran ran outside, gasping. He could already feel Firth's emotions flooding him, overwhelming. He didn't even have time to be nervous. M'ran knew he had to get to Zadari's weyr, and fast, so he started running.
Firth joined the other two males in the sky. Both Apolloth and Heverth were bigger than he was, but he wasn't intimidated. He was determined to do his best to try and win Maiath. Unlike the other two, he wasn't practicing for something else. Beautiful Maiath! You are my Queen today! he called, crooning as he flew after the dainty green. M'ran arrived at the weyr and smiled shyly at Zadari, a blush reddening his cheeks.

Though Appolloth was the first after her, Maiath wasn't inclined to favour anyone over another. Anyone who vaguely knew her would know that she was more likely to test them first. Actually, Maiath was inclined to like all of them, simply because they'd joined her in this enchanting game. She was going to show them what a good flier she was, she just had to think of a way to do that.
Without warning, the green twisted and sped off, not responding to their flattery aside from a quirky trill as she all but flattened her wings against her side and dove sharply, she loved diving, loved the feeling of the wind rushing past her body and loved the feeling of superiority when she pulled out of the dive so sharply and close to the ground that her tail brushed against the grass. Let them try that, she'd like to see the bigger males to that, she would indeed.
Twisting her little body up wards again, the fragile seeming green turned, almost on wing tip to change the direction, swinging herself in the direction of the lake, quite happily to merely croon at her males and encourage them to impress her however they liked.
Unlike some of her chaser's seemed to be, Zadari was comfortable with the sensations of flight. She'd been a rider and Sitath had loved the challenge that flights gave. The only difference is rather than being encouraged, she encouraged them, she was Maiath, and she wanted the males to impress her.

Mal was doing what he liked doing the best. He was sitting there just doing nothing. No one was going to tell him that this was wrong, for if they did then he would justnecowl and then send them on their way. He was not one for games or any nonsense that others were all for, nor was. He one for anutiingnothernthan sitting and complaining. Yes, that was Mal, completely contradictory. Except for the fctthat he was not complaining
Yet.
Just two simple words Brie him from his near simple transe. She rises. Mal sat up quickly And swore a pernese oath. "Oh for the love of all the weyrs of pern, you wouldn't." but, contrary to his personality (he was acting quite like Mal), Serenith said nothing. Instead, he unfurled his large bronze wings leisurely and took off. Growling, Mal asked, 'do I at least got to know who?' But only a second later Mal recieved the answer.
'Maiath!? From the way you took off, I thought it must have been a gold!' Mal cried mentally, raising his arms in defeat as Serenith spun and tried to catch up with the green. The silver-colored bronze sniffed and replied, almost archaicly, It is not the outside but the inside that counts. Mal snorted and stood up. He could feel flight lust begin towash over him. He grumbled and walked towards Maiath's rider's weyr. Serenith needed no loud bugle to tell the green he was flying. No, the unmistakable silver flashing in his hide was enough. He was here, and he would fly. Enough said. ((Whoot! Done all on my iPod!)) [/blockquote]

Apolloth swept after her. He knew that he could not beat the smaller dragons in fancy flying...but most of her suitors seemed to be larger. Huh.
Browns, bronzes, and tans, and tans, not bronzes, were the best males. He just had to convince Maiath of that fact. To start with, he was just following her casually, almost lazily, then he increased the speed of his wingbeats a little, climbing above her slightly. There. Now, he did a lazy roll, letting her see him from all angles.
Letting her see how gorgeous his pale color was, how well put together he was. How he was the best male of these. He didn't need tricks to impress her, in his arrogance, he believed his very presence was enough, the strength of his wings offered to her.
When it was time.
Arrogant, the still-rational part of B'can thought. But that was his bonded...cocky. He was a bronze in tan wrapping, and he would let none do him down for lacking a metallic sheen to his hide. But the rest of him regarded Zadari.
Somebody would claim her, and it might be him and...well. She was older, but far from ugly. And no stray thoughts of Brylorea disturbed him right now.
Yes, there was a reason riders did not wed...

That trill tugged at Firth's heartstrings, urging him on. He sped after Maiath, anxious to keep her in sight and not let her get too far ahead of him. He copied the dive readily, tucking his wings in and falling. It was frightening at the end but he managed to execute the dive well, pulling up at the last moment to spiral after Maiath once more. Firth knew he had the advantage there over the larger males, but he was careful not to get too cocky yet. Later in the Flight, when the large males had more strength, he might be singing a different tune.
When another bronze joined the Flight, he let out an uncharacteristic snarl. What business did these bronzes and tans have, barging in on Maiath's Flight? She was a dainty creature, too lovely and delicate for their bulky frames. Let them try, though. Firth would show them he was just as worthy.
He jerked in the direction of the water, the cool lake breeze a relief to his wings. Firth concentrated on speed for now, not able to think up any elaborate tricks. On the ground, M'ran was riveted on Zadari, most rational thought replaced with images of Maiath and the emotions of his dragon.

Heverth was surprised by the sudden dip in the green's flight. He tried to follow, but he couldn't do the dive as steep and even trying to do it sent strain up his wings. He had strength, but he would have to remember to not try all the hard green tricks. He was just too big for all the quick steep turns.
Heverth, determined to show off his strength since he hadn't done the dive properly backwinged slightly and then moved off forward. He used his large powerful wings to bring him easily close. Then, he slowed down to allow the flight to draw ahead, and then he easily brought himself back up to it.
By that time, K'met wanted to catch Zadari as much as Heverth wanted to catch Maiath. K'met no longer had control over his emotions about the flight.

(Sorry I took so long -brick'd-. Ball. Tests. I'm ending it now because Maiath's small and wouldn't last long XD and cause I'm running out of ideas.)
Maiath was pleased that many of her suitors managed the quick dive, and showed this with another quirky trill, dropping back to show more attention to those who'd completed the dive approprietly, but also to encourage the ones who hadn't completely followed it through. Sweeping close to Apolloth, Maiath crooned sweetly in appreciation of his roll, allowing her to see him from all angles. He was a fine male, he was, but she also needed to pay attention to the others.
Next was Firth, darting close to him, Maiath was cheeky enough to lightly let her wings touch his, crooning ebfore she sped away, she wasn't ready to be caught by any chances oh no, she was not. She might be getting tired, her wings beginning to ache, but it didn't show as she trilled to both bronzes, first Hevereth and then Serenith, darting close before once again sweeping in another direction. This was fun! But she was tired, the dives and sharp turnjs were making her wings hurt now and Maiath knew that she should stop now. She wasn't sure who she wanted, it was so hard to pick, they'd all flown so beautifully!
Finally her decision was made by a mistake, the fact her mind had been distracted with flying and deciding and she collided rather accidently with Firth. Instantly clinging to him to stop herself falling from teh impact - he was much bigger than she was - Maiath crooned worriedly as she nuzzled his neck, I'm sorry! Maiath didn't mean to hurt her Firth! You flew so well, Maiath didn't mean to hurt you.

The brief touch of Maiath's wings set Firth's nerves on fire, a tingling sensation shooting down his spine. On the ground, M'ran shivered in response. Firth shot after Maiath, trying to dart around the bronzes and pull into the lead. He noticed too late that she was swerving in his direction and he took the collision head-on.
He was jostled and he felt scratches where she clung to him, but he couldn't care less. Crooning, he instinctively twined his neck around hers, supporting them both. Better make it up to me, he said teasingly, flying them away from the group.
M'ran, divested of any trace of shyness by his dragon's passion, took Zadari in his arms and kissed her, then led her without hesitation into the weyr.
