We all know Faranth right? Remember her rider Sorka? Well you wouldn't REMEMBER HER, but I am sure the harpers still tell the stories of her and her dragon. It is a definite that Nixsha is descended of Sorka's bloodline. Her hair is a very vibrant red, a rather titian color. The locks are darker near the roots, but the tips are pretty bright in their vibrance. Her hair was allowed to grow free, but after massive amounts of stress and emotional pain, she cut it to about her shoulders.
Her facial structure is father soft, and gentle. Something you would imagine from a healer, but she has a sharpness beneath that, that makes it evident that if she wanted, she could hurt just as easily as she heals. Of course she would never do this anyways. Her features only add to the startling effect that her eyes sometimes create, with their light green blue coloration.
She is a slight and petite woman, her frame only reaching a full 4'11'' at its highest. Even though she is petite, her frame is long in its build. Long legs add to an illusion of height, as well as longer arms and torso. She has wiry musculature setup, and uses these to her advantage when she has to sprint long distances.
She has a tendency to always be in Healer colors, whether in a dress(rare) or in tunics with thick leggings. She always has a myriad of pouches on her waists, ones that contain a multitude of items. Some even ODD in their contents, odds ends of some things.
Personality:
To start things off she is a kind woman, she will do all she can for those she works with and works on. She is well known for her compassion, and not giving up on someone that is dying. This determination, and the skills she has as a healer is what got her as far as she has. Nixsha, is also well known for her large stubborn streak, if she believes in something she BELIEVES in it. There is no stopping her from accomplishing that task she has set her mind to. When it comes for frivolities, she tries to not indulge. She likes wine, but she does not often have a man in her furs.
She definitely has a motherly streak, and during her Journeywoman years, while she was traveling between Holds(As is dictated) she actually fostered a prematurely born baby, for almost half a turn. She is a true protector of the innocent, and was well known by the holds she went to, for being one to protect the weaker people. She did not hit drudges, and would even do chores many considered below her. But she just wanted to be helpful.
Oh yes... one more thing, getting her angry, she has a red-heads anger, she may not seem like it, but if you piss her off, she can and WILL SHARDING HURT YOU!
History:
Nixsha was born to a JourneyWoman Healer named Luaralane(If you recognize this name its just because its a common character name for me.), and a Journeyman Harper name Ryusuke. Upon her birth, her parents where ecstatic. They decided to raise their red haired daughter, to be a mixture of both halls. Though she would have to chose, one day. That day came, and the young woman, the only child of her parents, chose the Healer Hall. She used her harpering skills though, to aid with her Healer. For what was the best way to calm a fussing child? Why singing to it of course! And Nixsha knew how to sing, she definitely did.
As she grew older, it was evident she was a prodigy in the Healer Halls. She learned the skills faster then other apprentices, and she did something that hasn't happened in a long time. She achieved the rank of Journeywoman, at the age of Fourteen. She walked the tables, and then was assigned to go between Holds, as she was supposed to.(Harper's and Healers do this)...Her skills just seemed to increase. On one occasion she was asked to come to Nyocia Weyr and stand at a clutch, but nothing came of it. It was her third time in the weyr, standing at a clutch(Not the third clutch she stood at, just her third time in the Weyr), that she realized that she was different. She could hear, and speak to all of the dragons.
At eighteen, she delivered a premature baby, and helped care for it for half a turn. Then she went on her way to settle in a Hold. Instead of a Hold, she chose to return to the Hall. Where she taught lessons, and helped the next generation of healers. Then the Master Healer of Pern appeared, and stated that something unprecedented was to happen. Nixsha, now at the age of twenty-three, was to be made a Master Healer. It was after this, that she announced her intentions of going BACK to Nyocia, and learning the dragon Healer's craft. For thread was coming, and the dragons would need Healing, just as much as people.
Not only did she want to learn the Dragon Healer Craft, but she wanted to increase her skills as a HAD. Three hatchings later, she feels her talents eating at her. In a fit of pain she sliced off her hair... thinking making a few changes might make things better.
Pets:
She has a cat that she attained, a rather medium sized black feline, that oft to naught, is off hunting tunnel snakes. Nixsha believes that her feline companion is descended of the big jungle cats, that are sometimes seen.
