Kett woke up and stared groggily at her sleeping Haith. She needed to eat before she could properly think out the day. She knew that Haith was getting proddy and was probably getting close to time for her flight, but that didn't mean that things couldn't be done. Kett went to the bath and did a quick rinse off on her self and through on a simple blouse and blue skirt that were quick and easy to put on, figuring that she could put on leathers later. She smiled as she walked past her sleeping dragon that shined with good health. She didn't even realize that Haith shined with more than good health because she hadn't finished waking up yet. She smiled to herself and went to get some food. She was about to begin her regular routine of eating when she felt Haith awake differently, she felt Haith awake with the feeling that told Kett that a flight was about to happen. She ran to where she could see her Haith fly and she saw Haith purple, flight lust filled eyes and knew that Haith wasn't blooding before her flight. Haith took off into the sky trumpeting to all the males Come, Catch me if you can, if you think you can catch me!. With that, Kett became Haith and felt the wind beneath her wings and the joy of flying and the lust of flight. She flew straight up toward the sky and then leveled out, catching on a thermal that helped her. (OOC: Catch her if you can )

Why... I do believe there is a green rising. Haith I believe. Truth raised his head slightly, whirling eyes focused on the skies. Maybe he would chase this time? His shouldn't mind too much, not much at all. No, it was the first time the powdery coloured blue had chased a green in a while. And he hadn't even tried for a gold - not that one had risen - lately. Why... I do believe your tiny behind is staying right there! F'ynch growled, looking up from where he'd been straightening the furs after getting up. In reply, Truth snorted, tossing his head playfully as he stood. He might be rather small for a blue, but he was stocky, strong and he trained. He could do this, whether His wanted him too or not.
Such a shame, she is female. Truth mused, glancing at his rider, who nearly choked on his klah. Oh dear are you coming out? Would never have picked you for going after a nice brown. I meant, her rider is female. You don't like females much. Or have you suddenly changed your mind? Without waiting for a response, the blue took off, spreading is oddly large wings to catch the wind as he trumpted his acceptance of her challenge. He was small and fast. He could win her where no other could. Beautiful temptress of the skies Haith, I, Truth, will chase until my wings can no longer hold me in your grace.
On the ground, F'ynch muttered about his dragon, rolling his eyes as he heard the flattering tone. "Beautiful temptress." Mimicking his dragon, the blue rider rolled his eyes as he ran a hand through his dark hair, sharding dragon, it wouldn't be so bad if he only chased the greens with male riders, he could bear that, yes he could definately deal with that. Not this though, he probably didn't even know the woman. "Truth, you are so beyond fried when I get my hands on you." He growled unhappily, sighing as he ran his hands through his hair.
"Morning."

((My NPC again... *falls* I might have to make these two... xD))
Well... Ekirith felt he could try again. He had lost the other Green who had Flown recently, that didn't mean he wouldn't win this one. And J'ran had seemed happy enough after, having been invited to the bed of the Violetrider. Maybe, just maybe, Ekirith could try for the Violet when she rose. But only if he didn't catch Haith. J'ran grinned at his Brown and hurried for Kett and Haith's weyr.
Feeling like he was being sent off with his rider's good wishes, Ekirith shot out of his own weyr and towards where the glistening Haith had just leveled out. A soft croon escaped the Brown as he glided within earshot of this potential mate. Such a beautiful Green, hopefully he could prove himself worthy of her.
Perhaps the first Green hadn't liked him because he wasn't agile enough... that was what all her tests had been. Maybe this one would try her in a different way... or else Ekirith would just have to put on a better show. He was stronger than the Blue who was here so far and more of them were likely to show up, not more Browns; at least, considering the last Flight.
Ekirith had more stamina and was larger. He could carry a Green through a more interesting Flight. Perhaps he wasn't as agile, but was that anyways? It was a genetic disadvantage, agility had nothing to do with the dragon itself. He could dodge Thread well enough, that was what agility was for. He would perform for the beautiful Haith and catch her.

Only two to follow her? Obviously these beasts needed to rethink their lives. Those that followed her obviously had there priorities straight. Sh did some corkscrews, enjoying the rush of air through her wings. She then went higher and doubled back over top of those chasing her, to high for them to catch her, flying on a thermal higher up. She went back over where she had started from, giving others a chance to join her flight. She, Haith deserved the best she could get. The blue was a very good species of blue, but she wondered if he was even worthy of her. The brown might be able to stay up with her, but it all depended on how he showed himself. She did some flip like movements, almost daring her followers to and yet wanting them not to to show how much better she was. She came close to her followers, almost touching the blues wings and then drawing quickly away before he could catch her with something that could almost be a laugh as she flirted with her followers. She then sent to her followers, Still trying boys, you really think you can catch me? And with that she shot forward and to the left, then she went straight down, catching on the thermal that she had started on.

Ah, but wasn't she just a clever beauty? Twists and turns and everything Truth loved about flights right there in this little green. Brilliant! A big brown would never be able to keep up with one such as himself, really, all those twists and turns would really grate on the poor fellow. Ah, what a loss.
Not.
Truth knew, that because of his small size, flying like this wasn't a probelm. It would be the length of time in the air that would really be a problem for the little blue. Well, he was certainly going to try and that, was the truth. Hehe, nice play on words. Crooning low in his throat at Haith, Truth instatnly preformed a few of his own tricks to show off to her. A twist here, a flip there, wasn't he just so brilliant?
Why yes... He was.
Crooning again as she barely brushed his wings, he flipped, attempting to catch her quickly before growling in frustration as she danced away. Plenty more chances, plenty more. If you allow it, I certainly think I can. I'm going to keep trying.

Ekirith didn't even try to follow the Green in all her sharp corkscrews and delicate twists. She was the star of the show and he figured he would let her know it. But the Brown didn't just follow either, he took large loops and rolled as he flew, meanwhile sending the Green thoughts of her beauty and how although he was nothing compared to her, he would do his very best for the lovely Haith.
He snorted as Haith flitted close to Truth, almost giving him the chance to simply snag her. Why did the Greens always taunt him so, flirting with the Blues and leaving him out of their antics? Ekirith was sure he could fly faster than she, simply overtake and grab her. But he didn't; the Green should choose her mate and the Flight needed to be longer.
The Brown tried another display, dipping underneath Haith, showing how fast and strong he was. He rolled, flying upside-down for a few strokes, and then dove suddenly. A wide arc brought him up again behind the Green. Your Ekirith will follow you as long as you fly, lovely Haith, he crooned gently. But he could not best such a perfect dragon.

NPC Blue Poniath
Just as Haith was taking off, a dark Blue leaped into the air after her. He was a little late, but he would make up for it! He bugled his answer to her challenge and sped after her. He glanced briefly at the other males, but didn't believe that they could offer too much competition.
He twisted and twirled after her, doing a barrel roll to try and impress the beautiful green, but most of his effort was spent trying to keep up with her wild movements. He turned sharply on a wingtip, copying her leftward movement, and then he pulled in his wings, diving after her.
((I don't want to win, I just thought another chaser would be nice.))

He couldn't believe that His made him late because he didn't want to show up to another Flight in nasty Clothing! Roluth growled to himself as he soared to catch up to the trumpeting Haith.
Forgive me for being late dear Haith, Mine was making excuses again. He gave a snort at that, but fell into a comfortable place in the Flight after the Green.
Allow me to prove my worth with endurance and ability shining Green Haith! He purred to her.
C'it was a little disgruntled as well, but at least he was not smelly this time. He took a place near the Green's rider, Kett. She was a lovely woman, he had seen her many times...but she was one that he felt would be hard to normally approach at first.
He still gave her a warm smile and turned his eyes to the sky as they began to fog over with Roluth's lust.

That lazy blue was late! Now she had three blue followers and one brown, whmm, witch did she like better? The brown had endurance, but did he have strength? She could tell that he had been jealous when she had touched the blues wings, and the blue was so admiring of her. The late one blue did call her shining, she liked that, but the others had said close to the same thing. She sailed straight up, then down enough just to barely touch the brown, then she nimbly jumped away, toward Roluth, just managing to get away, not wanting to be caught yet. Just managing to avoid Poniath, she flew straight upward, tooward a higher thermal, leading the chase onto higher heights.
After doing a couple corkscrews and daring her followers to do the same, she whipped around, flew just bellow her followers and turned the flight around. She was staring to tire, but she forced herself to keep going. She flew higher and higher; she flew higher toward the sun...

Roluth crooned to her as she took of faster. He shot after her and was surprised when she came back so very near him.
Then Haith flew into a thermal. Roluth followed her willingly, wanting to prove himself for being late. As she did a few tight cork-screws, Roluth climbed higher to follow and twirled.
He did one upside-down cork-screw and then flipped back around to finish off a few more very quickly. Roluth was really getting into this Flight.
As Haith turned the entire Flight around, Roluth whipped around and stroked his wings harder to pass another Blue in the Flight. Anything to be closer to this Green. Now they were all climbing higher, as it was...they were going to go higher than the clouds very shortly.
C'it shook his head, though the lust was already too much. He was up there with his Blue Roluth. Chasing after Haith/Kett, wanting to be closer to them...no matter what. He could feel the air that was warmer as Roluth hit a thermal, and could even see the clouds through his dragon's eyes.

So many Blues... they should be no competition for such a powerful Brown. And yet Ekirith was worried, he had lost his last Flight, and then the only other chasers had been Blues too. Surely he could outfly any of the dragons here, but that wasn't what was important. He had to prove himself to the lovely Haith. She continued to twist and fly, but surely the Green must be getting tired... the Flight would probably end soon. This could be Ekirith's last chance for her...
He followed her through the corkscrews, those were easy enough. But then she twisted suddenly below the chasers, that took the Brown by surprise. He crooned as she whizzed past underneath him and then twisted and shot after her. The time lost in a turn not as quick as a Blue or Green's could be was made up with just a few downstrokes, Ekirith's strength could easily lend speed and whatever he did slower could be made up, hopefully.
Now Haith was flying upwards, as though shooting for the sun itself. Ekirith, on the other hand, decided he would try a trick and see if he could win her favor. He dove. Down brieftly, although if he let himself fall too much he knew he probably wouldn't be able to make up the lost time. With a jerk of his tail and a whisk of his wings, the Brown was swirling upwards with agility that probably surprised watchers. Perhaps it couldn't compare to a Green's, but maybe with a Blue's. Not that it probably made much difference.
Breaking his upward spiral, Ekirith fully spread his wings and in several powerful flaps had caught up to Haith. He crooned softly and rolled; the Brown still had plenty of energy to show off with, although he was running low on ideas for tricks. Would she like him? Could he catch her? Hopefully.
J'ran sighed softly and leaned against the wall of Kett's weyr. He had felt the strain of Ekirith's trick; perhaps he wasn't as tired as the Blues and Green could be, but he was pushing himself in this Flight. Ekirith's last loss had hurt him, he was doing his best now. And J'ran flew with him, combined with his dragon through the lust. Surely they would win...

Late! Late, tsk tsk. Yet he still thought he might have a chance to twine with such a beauty while he was lazy? What a demented creature. No, Haith would surely not choose someone who had been slow to join such a marvelous flight. Why for all they knew, he'd delibrately been late, waiting for her to tire before joining the flight as a fresh dragon.
Naughty, naughty. Truth already decided then that the late comers were no threat to him, and there for, the only challenge was the brown. Hah, easy. He could out fly a brown with wing strain! Not that he would, that would be ridiculous and possibly cripple him for life. Now where would that get him? It would put him out of flights like this, like wonderful Haith's that's where showing off with pain would get him.
Trilling in pleasure as she made it more difficult, Truth let out a small taunting sound at the brown - his only real competition - before following her into the corkscrews quite happily. This sort of thing he could do, this sort of thing was easy for the small blue. Utterly enjoyable!
Coughing in surprise as she whizzed under them, Truth immediately folded his body around to follow her, feeling the strain in his wing joints as he flew after her. He might be agile, but he was small, and that size was taking it's toll as Truth forced the pain to the back of his mind. He wasn't sure how much longer he could keep this up, but as long as Haith flew, he'd follow her.
Straight up! Oh joys. Truth seeemd to have no reaction as she started steadily climbing up, but inwardly, he cringed. This would tire him further, and since the brown was playing with tricks, he would play with words. Beautiful sparkling Haith. You fly towards Rukbat, a star in the sky that holds not one inch of the beauty you hold. The words were mere whispers, but in a sweet tone. We follow the only true beauty in the skies, and that is you glorious Haith.
F'ynch fought the urge not to smirk at the others, attempting to hide the discomfort along his back and arms. He was tired, Truth was tired, but they wanted this green. How much longer could she really fly for? Surely her choice would be made soon.

(...Continued to end)
Haith felt the strain, and she felt tired. She wanted the strongest dragon out there, the least tired. Poniath was tiring, as was the other blue Truth because they had followed her from the beginning of the flight. She had liked how Truth had admired her, but he was tiring. The other blue was strong and still mostly fresh, having joined the flight late, though that didn;t hold very well with her. To be late to HER flight for some silly clothes? And the brown. The brown Ekirith would have more energy because of the fact that he was a brown. He had done tricks that had impressed her for a brown. HE was strong and would have energy. Suddenly, she lost altitude fast, not heading for the sun any longer, she was tiring and she knew it. She could tell that they wanted her, the way they had crowded behind her. Her wings fowled up in their wings as she dropped back amongst them. She felt all of them, to close! She couldn't choose! Her thoughts for running and yet the one that caught her, caught her by being tricky and having waited for her. She could feel Roluth's wings, and Ekirith's wings, and Poniath's wings against hers, making it hard to fly, when suddenly blue Truth, who had been behind her flew forward and caught her. He had twined his neck with hers and held her tight, his wings opening up and allowing them to glide on the thermal they had caught. She opened up her wings and almost sighed as she said, Yes, you Truth were the right one, the one with the intelligence, the one that had called me beautiful.
Kett/Haith had been feeling the press of bodies as Haith fell back amongst her followers. She stumbled back into F'ynch, in an almost daze, she was caught.
