"Nayarath should relax," R'mer opined. "A gold is a gold and a violet is a violet, and they aren't the same and shouldn't be any more than a blue should try to be a brown or vice versa."
He glanced at Aleyi, then took a sip of his wine. "I trust Tinth. We should be extra careful, though. First Falls are dangerous."
He didn't intend to end up dead or in the infirmary ever, let alone now, although he suspected he and Tinth would collect their share of scars. All riders did. "At least, Inolyn, you won't end up treating as many injuries to your dragon. We fancy flyers have to worry about wing strains as well as thread. Especially the greens."

As the topic of flights countied for the moment T'lat seemed to withdraw again, becuase it was simpley the topic that bothered him the most. He did not want to be become one of anyone's conquest, nor did he want to wake up beside anyone and not be happy about who it was. Especially becuase he had never woken up beside anyone before, regradless of the reason. He just hopped that Hansth would consider who he was trying to fly the first time he chased, and would consider his feelings on the matter. Hansth nuzzled T'lat saying Mine you worry to much. I said I would take care of you, and I will take care of you then also. T'lat sighed and just ran his hand over the bronze's head. Wondering if the bronze could keep that promise when there was a female in the sky.
When the topic turned to thread fall T'lat felt much better about it, becuase talking about it did not embress him half to death. He said " Well I know is that it is prolbery going to be scary the first time, we may get hurt, we may not, but we are dragon riders so I don't see what the point of worrying about it all is. What will happen will happen." Somtimes he wondered if people even heard what he said. So this time he tried to speak abit louder and with less shyness to his voice. Hansth said softly to him That was much better Mine, now you getting it. No one is going to bite your head off.

Amarna didn't like hanging around the weyr much these days. More often she and Holleth were off flying, or playing in the water. More and more the to had found companionship in each other and had seen less and less of the other weyrlings. Amarna had her hair braided in a tight knot and then flipped up so that it was out of the way. She wore riding leathers and had a belt knife strapped to one hip, in case she and Holleth met anything hostile...
Holleth landed and allowed hers to dismount. She saw T'lat, but she didn't really care about him anymore. The only one who had her affections these days was Holleth. She smiled down at Holleth who walked in beside her and she heard Holleth comment, What a nice little graduation party. Does this mean we can fly sweeps now?
Amarna smiled at Holleth and said, Yes that, and also we can fight thread. We will also have our own weyr
Amarna chuckled at Holleth's mental yip of joy. Yes, she was glad she was not a weyrling any longer. She was a full rider now, and proud of it. She then smiled as Cheacha came out of between and landed gently on her shoulder, wrapping around teh base of her neck and going to sleep. Amarna gently petted her little friend and said quietly, "Where have you been little one?"
Holleth replied for Cheacha, She's probably been out playing and flirting with blues, you know how she is...
J'kyl slipped into the room with Grimth at his side. He wasn't really the social type and it had been Grimth who had convinced him to come. J'kyl wanted to know why and Grimth had repliedMine, we must get to know our wingmates some so that it will be easier when fighting thread. J'kyl had just sighed and agreed to go.

Aleyi nodded. "Golds are just insane and that's that." She knew this for a fact, Brooke was a prime example. Pip and Tuck chittered, both in full agreement of this. They had known Brooke their entire lives, so although they hadn't had much of one so far, they knew the Gold well enough.
Aleyi nodded. "Yeah, I can sorta figure that. Jerglith's always careful though, huh buddy?" She smiled at the Blue.
Except for when I'm sticking my nose into things. He cheerfully repeated what his rider often said, his eyes whirling. The appearance of Amarna and Holleth distracted the Blue. Finally!
Aleyi couldn't help but laugh at her dragon's relief that appearance of a Barred. "Hey Amarna, where've you been?" She smiled at the new arrival.

Amarna smiled slightly at the blue rider and just said vaguely, "We've been out flying." Holleth was starting to slip into the shadows, not liking crowds too much but Amaran sent her a mental command, Holleth, Come out of the shadows and stay with me. That way we can handlle this together. Holleth gave a mental feeling of ok and then came over and rubbed her nose gently on Amarna's shoulder. Amarana smiled at Holleth and put her hand on Holleth's sun warmed hide.
