Moonlit Weyr
[glow=red,2,300]Non-cannon 11th Pass Pern[/glow]
At the end of the 10th pass, AIVAS had died, as had robinton, and the dragonriders learned about the third power of dragons!
to telekinetically move objects with their minds!
their second job, now, is as STARWATCHERS!
they watch the sky and, working together, move comets and asteroids that approach Pern away from their planet!
By some strange occurance, this last Pass of the red star, before the end of turn, is approximated to be 60 turns long rather than the usual 5o turs.
The weyrs were filling up, rapidly becoming overcrowded, and so monaco riders of a gold, a bronze, and a blue and green travelled to the Western Isles to set up a new weyr before any infighting could begin. The gold's first clutch in the new home, a long-dead volcano, by the bronze, was revealed to contain the first 'mutant' color dragons of Pern other than White. After her clutch revealed tels and sunsets and lillacs at first, and when the green was off it's firestone during it's mating time, it's eventual clutch produced more colors. The lilac-colored females became Queens, and some lived to become weyrwomen of the eventual weyr. Sunsets were like large versions of the greens, the size of browns, yet not fertile normally. spirals, the banded or swirl-colored mutation of the greens, were amazingly fertile- some clutching every two to three turns. now, new colors have shown up in lilac judurith's clutch: the dusk- a tiny gray male, the silver- a tiny pale silvery female that is fertile, and the sapphire- a deep blue-colored female.
In the same location on the western continent as the first explorers discovered, Moonlit Weyr was established, and was found to have a good set of caverns as well as a lake and plenty of room to spread out.
After the first few riders went West, more and more came.
During an early turn, there was some arguments, but tension in the other weyrs grew less and less as both the number of clutching females in their Weyrs decreased, and the number of dragons and riders went West. Finally, everything settled down, and now, in this turn of the 11th pass, Thread will begin to fall very soon, as well as the threat of a meteorite heading to pern, and all riders will be called to duty-
to fight not for honor, but to save Pern!!!
----------------------
note that this pass is 60 turns long instead of the normal 50, as well as that every real-time month is two pern months. a pern year is, therefore, 6 real-time months.

NEWS:
two clutches are on the sands now, with one more coming! that means, we need Candidates badly!
there is a wild green fire lizard's clutch in the shops for sale!
the new color of pyrite will be present in one or more clutches, so be aware that this shiny mutatin or the blue is possibly to become an official mutation-color if there is more than one of them!
There are 9 eggs in Spiral Verelith's new clutch by Teal Torenth.
There will be 5 eggs in Slver Dearyth's clutch by Dusk Rinath.
And there should be about 7 eggs in Sapphire Valureth's clutch by Sand Ugrayth.
This means that we need characters: Candidates- as many as possible please!
Weyrlings- there are three from judurith's clutch available!
Dragonriders- we are low on male dragons!
Weyrfolk- we have a severe lack of these, because most of our weyrfolk have ended up as stands candidates!
Craftsmen- we need a weyrhealer, as well as a few harpers and other healers and star crafters- there are a few up for adoption!
Wherhandlers- we have none right now --_--
---
firelizards are popular here- they are not held by the same rules as dragons are, but they *speak* in emotions and images, not words.
whers are on the rise as part of the weyr! they come in all colors that the dragons do. whers do fly, but they see in heat-vision, so it is harder to go Between with one- blind wherhandlers are often highly revered, because they can go Between at night.

Please join! We may not be the most Cannon Weyr around, but we have the most fun, in our opinion!
