R’mal flopped down into a seat, slapping his helmet on the table top with a sigh. At this rate he would be punished to riding sweeps for the rest of his life because of Aresth quick temper and deafening roar. This time it had been caught by Nayarath in a bad mood, last time he had frightened the small babes in the infirmary. How much longer did he have to endure this constant blame! Aresth was born like this and will never change, maybe the faults should be pointed at the browns parents, violet Kelth and brown Ekirith…
While Kelth had clutched some…freaks… it would be the first time he had heard of a queen dragon of bad blood. Then again, Kelth had been the first of her kind. Jorindath, now there was a violet queen to be proud of and her rider was everything they could ever want. Aresth would never catch her though, and the only time he had been close to catching a female R’mal had nearly been attacked by the rider’s weyrmate in the middle of the flight!
What rotten luck…

To put it simply, Ash’n was exhausted. His Peath had ran him ragged and there was no doubt about it. Where every she got these bounds of energy, her rider had no clue. The only thing he was sure of was that he didn’t have it and his current state of being clearly showed that. His usually nicely combed curly black hair was a complete mess. It was as if he had woken, up jumped out of bed, and just decided to ditch his daily routine of primping before going anywhere. He was also sweaty from what seemed to be endless hours running through the weyrbowl do to his dragons competitive nature. If this had been a couple of years back, Ash’n probably would have been embarrassed to death by his current state. However, many things had changed sense he had became a candidate and now a rider. In other words, he had simply just gotten used to the embarrassment. Oh, it was still their alright. There was no doubt about that in his mind. It just didn’t seem like it mattered anymore.
”You should not be embarrassed, Ash‘n. I think you still look very pretty for a human. Even if you do smell like a wet canine and look like you have been rolling around in dirt all day,” Peath said through the mental connection that they shared, probably hoping to make him feel better. However, this just seemed to awaken the embarrassment he had been trying to avoid. ’If that was suppose to make me feel better, it failed… Ash’n replied to the dragon as he sighed and lifted his one of his hands to rub his left temple. He was starting to develop a headache and he knew the reason why. He was starting to get irritated. He loved his dragon. She was adorable, sweet when she wanted to be, and they just seemed to be made for each other. But all of that energy… He didn’t know how much more he would be able to take of it before he dropped dead from exhaustion.
At this moment, Ash’n felt a burst of fear run through him, but it was not his own. “You must not die, mine! I love you so you must not die!” he heard Peath cry out to him thought their mental link. Ash’n was surprised for only a moment before he remembered how deep the link between dragon and rider went. What he knew, she knew or would surely find out. Ash’n couldn’t help but chuckle at his Peath’s reaction to what had been going through his mind. ‘Don’t be silly, Peath. I will not die anytime soon. I am to young to die.’ Ash’n said consolingly and he quickly felt the fear ebb away. ”Good! I don’t like the idea of you dying, AshMine… I’m bored! Will you not come out and play with me again?” the dragon spoke to him as he slide into a chair with a grown. Ash’n was in no way interested in playing with Peath at the moment and she probably knew it. She just seemed to like her rider as active as she was. With a sigh Ash’n shook his head and thought, ’Not right now. I need sometime to recover from the last bout of games we had. You should go find a dragon to play with. You should have fun doing that.” ”Alright! was the only reply he got from the dragon before his mind went silent.
Ash’n was surprisingly relieved to be rid of the energetic green dragon for a little while as he sat slumped against the back of his chair. It would give him a chance to get a little rest. Probably even enough time to get himself some food. This was all dependent on when Peath got tired of playing with the other dragons she found though. He couldn’t help but wonder how much time he had before that would happen. Either way, as he got more comfortable in the chair he choose, he could feel his eyelids start to drift downwards to cover his eyes. Ash’n shook his head violently when he realized he was about to fall asleep in the lower caverns. He knew that this was no place to sleep and he didn’t plan to do so. However, he didn’t seem to realize how sleepy he was as his eyes slowly closed themselves without him realizing as he drifted into sleep.
It seemed like only minutes later that Peath’s voice rang into his mind again, ”Mine? Mine!? MINE!?!?” the voiced screamed out in his mind as his eyebrow twitched in irritation and he yelled back, ”What!” It’s time to wake up! You have been asleep down there for hours and I’m bored. Will you not come out and play with me now? I have a really exciting game planned!” Ash’n found himself groaning in irritation again as he opened his eyes and looked up at the ruff above him. It was then that he remembered where he had fallen asleep. A slight blush came to his face and he seemed to sit bolt upright in what seemed to be a instant. He was surprised that no one had woken him up sooner. He was actual thankful to Peath for waking him up this time around. Ash’n quickly rubbed the sleep from his golden eyes as he started to stand up, but almost went head first into the table in front of him instead as his eyes landed on one of the most handsomely beautiful creature he had ever seen in his life. Ash’n had seen R’mal around the weyr before, but he had always been to busy to stop and… “talk” with the brown rider.
Though the other rider was girly looking for a man, Ash’n couldn’t seem to help his attraction to the other man. He didn’t know why he was attracted to him, but he was attracted never the less. It was probably because Ash’n loved beautiful things and R’mal was without a doubt a beautiful man when you could actually see his face under all of the hair. Ash’n had only seen it once on pacing, but once was more then enough for him to develop a interest in him. He looked to be about the same age as Ash and all that red hair just made him look mysterious. He couldn’t understand why the other man would want to hide such beautiful features though. Like himself, he believe that R’mal should show off his beauty with pride rather then hide it. What was there to be ashamed of? Ash’n didn’t know, but it didn’t seem to matter much either though. People do things the way they want to because they have reasons. He didn’t want the reason. What he wanted for R’mal was a little more primitive then that. Of course, he would have to actually win the other male over first before he made such suggestions.
The least Ash’n could say at the moment was that he wasn’t tired any more as he thought back to his dragon, ‘Maybe later, Peath. I have something else I want to do first.’ the only thing he got in return was a disappointed feeling. He was glad that she had decided not to reply to him though. It made him feel less worse about it then he usually did when she complained to him. That and he really didn’t want to play at the moment. He was still a little tired and he looked a mess. He was not about to let this beauty slip through his hands without trying when he was so near and neither of them were busy. With his mind made up, Ash’n quickly made himself look as presentable as he could. He would do nothing about the supposed wet canine smell at the moment, but he could at least brush off his dirty clothing and fix his hair. He did hope that R’mal didn’t catch on the small though. It would be most disappointing to loose someone for something as meager as that. Feeling that this was the best he was going to get out of fixing his appearance. Ash’n went in for the hunt. His prey being the rider of the all to grumpy Brown Aresth. He walked over to the man that sat not to far away and smiled at the other rider as he placed his hands on the table and leaned down a little towards the sitting rider. “Hello Brownrider R’mal” Ash’n said pleasantly as he smiled at the other man. He had decided that it would be best to break the ice with this one before he started to go into his flirty usual self. He had to remind himself that he should think intelligence over want in this situation though. He was willing to work for it. He just hoped that his work wouldn’t be wasted.[/blockquote]

R'mal was just about to leave, having lost himself completely in thought while he brooded enough on his many troubles and their various causes to satisfy him for now. He still wore his thick riding jacket, and open as it was with the cool autumn is was still rather warm and stuffy. A bath and some time out of the public veiw sounded like a wonderful idea, at least until dinner anyway. Once again he would have to tell his few friends why, yet again, he had no time to hang with them.
With a sigh his hand reached out to grab his discarded helmet only to cause when he felt someone nearly lean over the table on him. His hazel eyes looked up through shaggy red locks in a cold glare at the rider, wondering what he did to provoke this. R'mal didnt like that smile on the greenrider's face, all too close to an all too familiur cruel smirk which he had learnt long ago to distrust. Whatever this man wanted, the brownrider wasn't interested. I don't like this man... and he felt Aresth agree.
"What do you want, I'm not in a very good mood..." R'mal nearly snapped. Like his dragon, he wasn't known for his patience but he did have a bit more self control. Weak as it was, he would at least wait to be provoked before he snapped completely.

Ash’n was a little surprised when the rider seemed to lean forward about the same time he did. Not that he was complain. It got him a good look at the other man’s pretty face. Even though it was mostly covered by his shaggy red hair. “Your eyes are hazel,” Ash’n muttered more to himself as he stared right back at the other man. He was not disappointed by the color of his eyes at all. In fact, he almost found them spell binging by R’mal’s gaze. Even if it was menacing and probably meant to be hurtful. He had to admit he was almost hurt by the brown riders glare though. He had done nothing yet to deserve such a look. He had actually been quite nice. What had he done to deserve such a cold look form the ginger beauty. It was simply unfair!
Ash’n listened to the man as he spoke and couldn’t help but agree with R‘mal. He obviously had to be in a very bad mood to treat him in such a way. It was almost as if he was blaming him for whatever his issue was. A dignified look came to his face as he stood up straight, looking down his nose at the ginger he was so fond of. He put his hands on his hips clearly showing he was not amused by this as he said, ”Well, excuse me for caring! I come over here out of the goodness of my heart to try and cheer you up and this is how you treat me? You are not a very nice person are you? All looks and no manners.” Alright, so all of that was pretty much a lie except a thing here or there. He hadn’t even noticed that R’mal was upset until he had said something about it. He really did care that the other rider was upset though and he did find himself wanting to help him out. Even if he was a jerk.
Sighing and shaking his head, Ash’n dropped the dignified look like a rock into a river. He crossed his arms over his chest and sat on the edge of the table barely putting any of his wait onto it. Just enough to take some of the weight of his tired legs. ”You know your not the only one that has issues right? I mean, everyone has issues. Some people just hide them better then others. I don’t know what’s got you so riled up, but I’m sure it’s not worth acting like you are,” the greenrider said as he turned his eyes to the brown rider again. He was speaking the complete truth now and he was hoping that the brown rider would see the truth in his words. Ash’n had chosen a new goal for himself with this rider. He planned to find a way to make this guy lighten up a little. Why? Because he reminded him of someone very familiar from not many turns back. R’mal currently reminded him of how he used to be and how he could often be still.

R'mal raised an eyebrow in confusion, what did his eye color have anything to do with anything? Yes his eyes were hazel, like he didn't already know that. Really, if he was trying to be friendly he was just comming across as plain annoying. The brownrider had said he was in a bad mood, it had only been polite to warn so this man would just skip to the point if it was important and just leave him be. Was that too much to expect to the point of asking?
But no... the more he spoke the more agrivated the brownrider got. The greenrider was making a sharding wherry of himself, for if he knew one thing about this brownrider he would know he was hitting nearly every nerve there was. All looks and no manners? Some people just hide them better then others? R'mal knew all male greenriders were gay or bi, and everything from the way this man spoke to the way he looked told him what his intention were. He was not going through this again!
The chair clattered on the ground, thrown back with the force R'mal stood up with. Fist clenched his glared deepened, his eyes seeming to burn black with rage. His jaw was nearly shuddered with the force he grinded his teeth as he growled, trying to keep his voice down. "Look! I dont know who you are, or what you want, but leave me alone! I've got things hard enough right now so the last thing i need is you rubbing it in my face!"
Snatching up his helmet he stormed out, feeling Aresth growl grow closer till he swore he could feel the dragons breath. He was waiting to see if the green rider followed, it would be his mistake if he did...

Leaf and Topaz had become bored waiting on there bonded to wake up. The bluerider had been walking along and basically decided that he wanted to sit down against the wall of one of the lower caverns and go right to sleep. Nelth had curled up around And'l to make his rider comforntable, but as the pair had a habit of doing, they where somthing that was causing a roadblock in traffic, meaning people had to go around them. Yet And'l was completely asleep and was not about to move at all. Though the pair of firelizard did happen apon the situation that was evolving into.... or better yet devolving into a problem. The two firelizards first sent a message to And'l who woke up instantly, and with a annoyed look on his face. He could tell that one of those riders probably had more on there mind than being helpful, and was as clueless as a newborn.
Topaz and Leaf deicded to try and at least put a bandage on the situation until there bonded got there. The little pair flew over to land on Ash'n's shoulder and where chriping the entire time they where doing so. Leaf landed on the man's shoulder and softly nuzzled his face, while Topaz flew around his head. Both of the pair where determined to be a distraction. And'l was current up and walking in that direction with Nelth in tow. Topaz landed on the greenriders head and held onto his hair, which was kinda of awkward, becuase Topaz was a very big bronze firelizard. The flit looked down into Ash'n's face and chriped. The two firelizards felt confident they had everything under control for the moment.
And'l though was soon there and Nelth was park a little ways out the door. He walked in making sure to give the brownrider a large berth as he did so. He looked at the rider who was obviously annoyed and did not say anything, but Nelth told the rider, Mine will keep the annoying rider away.... if you want him too. They where both willing to leave if they thought they would just piss off R'mal anymore than had already happened. So he just stood there and leaned aginst the wall next to the door on the inside and said in the direction of the green rider, "Hello...... Ash'n..... those two giving you trouble." He was acting like it was not his fault. He knew this greenrider.... and he was sure the other male knew him. They had talked at least once before and he was not one to forget names.
