D’mian panted heavily as he came to a stop, resting his hands on his knees as he bent over and to rest. The blue rider had started his morning off like he normally did, rise before the sun was really up and spend the next hour or so running. Then he would spend the next ten minutes panting and catching his breath while Pangth snickered and mocked him.
Dami-mine, you’re getting ollllld.
The blue rider snorted and tried to stand up straight and not huff and puff. While he was glad that he had been able to find the weyr and join in, he had only felt older and older since coming here. So many people seemed so young. He was only 30 turns, that shouldn’t be old but so many riders were younger then Pangth.
“I’m not that old, I’m just… tried.” He spoke out loud to his dragon, glancing over at the small blue who was stretched out on the ground. Pangth only made a huffing sound, his laugh as he watched his rider.
That's not all mine.
The dragon spoke in a sing-songy voice, making D’mian glare at him before wiping the sweat that dripped from his forehead off. There was no point in arguing with Pangth, the dragon was half right anyways. And it wasn’t like Pangth would change his mind.
“Fine fine, I’m getting old but that means you are too. Pretty soon you’ll be too old for Flights or Thread Fall.”
Pangth’s head jerked up, giving D’mian a horrifed look at the thought of being too old for some of his favorite things.

So you say - that doing these stretches and routines will make you a good Fighter? Razuth asked his bonded as he watched the girl doing her morning routine. As he had every morning since they had bonded. The bronze was stretched out - and watched her. His eyes whirling with calm colors as he watched her. That's when he watched the blue rider and his blue.
You there! Blue. Who are you! the bronze snapped as he stood up. He didn't know this blue, and they were near his Angel! His darling Angel who was busy working on her morning routine. This was NOT good - they would distract her.
Angel was already in the thick of her routine her body now moving in a graceful manner that many would not understand. A series of sweeping arching kicks - a series of sweeps of her arms. It was a gorgeous thing to watch - The way her sleek body worked. She allowed Razuth to handle the situation.

Pangth looked up and tilted his head a little as he looked over at the young dragon and his rider. Then blinked a few times as his head moved between the two. It kind of looked like a bronze, it sure sounded like one at least. And that was a girl with him. His brow creased as he tried to figure this out.
D’mian picked up on his dragon’s confusion and followed his gaze to the other two that were out here this early in the morning. His look matched that of his dragons, his brow creasing at the sight of a bronze dragon with a female rider. He had been born and raised to be a dragon rider, had grown up on stories of the famous riders and dragons of the past, and knew of every little odd thing that had happened. But this, this was new. He had never heard of a bronze showing any interest in female.
Mine? Does this make sense to you? This is too strange for me.
“Don’t worry I’m just as confused. Just uh be nice and answer him? He’s still a bronze. I think…” D’mian shook his head again. He had heard that there were some odd colored dragons here, ones that had never been seen before. Maybe this was one of them?
My name is Pangth, and D’mian is mine. Who are you? Are you really a bronze? How come you’re with a girl?
D’mian’s shoulders slumped a bit as he heard the questions his dragon asked. He should have known Pangth would be this blunt about the questions they both shared.

Mine - this blue doesn't realize who we are! Was he not at the hatching! You are the best bronze rider on the face of Pern! the little bronze exclaimed as he glared daggers towards the much larger blue. He moved his stance to a rather defiant one as he glared at the dragon. The bronze was rather offended by the comments that the blue had made.
Angel stopped her practice and stared at the bluerider. She didn't have any arrogance to her stature - just pure understanding in what she could do. She wasn't your typical bronzerider is seemed. "Please to meet you. D'mian of blue Pangth. I'm Angel of Bronze Razuth." She said politely as she looked towards her offended dragon. Sighing softly at the reaction that the poor male was having. That was utterly disrespectful of her dragon. But he was offended. They had gotten it quite a bity.
She straightened her back - her braid falling over one shoulder. Bangs shadowing a pair of rather intensely interested brown eyes.
Mine is Angel - the perfect most wonderful Bronze Rider in the history of Pern. I am with her because she was the best choice. Why are you with him the bronze countered as he glared up at the blue. Getting a thwap from his bonded - he glared at her. What! He is insulting you by stating that somehow you are inferior because you are female! AND HE DARED TO ASK ME IF I WAS REALLY A BRONZE! Razuth barked as he fluttered his wings in annoyance.

Pangth looked at the angry little dragon and had to work hard and hiding his snickers. He gave the dragon a tooth looked that passed for a grin.
Dami-Mine and I have been here for a week. So no, we were not at the hatching. Must have been exciting.
Yes, the blue knew now for sure that the little dragon was a bronze, he might be odd colored but he sure had the attitude of a bronze dragon. He couldn’t hide his laughing from D’mian though.
Oh mine, poor mine. A girl makes a better bronze rider then you. Haha in an almost empty hatching you still get stuck with me while girls are getting bronze dragons here!
D’mian could only cover his face with his hands as he listened to this. He muttered something that was likely a greeting to Angel but didn’t remove his hands from his face as his own dragon continued to mock him. Pangth was happy to ignore such things, having more fun at annoying his rider then anything else. The blue got up, shaking himself off a bit as he walked over closer to the other rider and dragon, bending his head down to get a better look at the two of them.
Well! I’m with mine because he’s just so cute. You should see what a lovely shade of red he’s turning right now. How could any one resist that?
D’mian clearly twitched at hearing that, uncovering half of his face just to give his own dragon a dirty look, which Pangth continued to ignore. The blue instead got a little closer to Angel, looking her over a bit before looking back at the bronze.
Well I don’t know if she’s the most perfect bronze rider, I don’t really know what makes up a good bronze rider. The few that I knew were kind of snotty but they were mines hatchmates as well. Or how ever that works for riders. She seems like a good one though!
D’mian finally uncovered his face, and while Angel straightened herself out during this conversation, the blue rider only grew more and more hunched, as if he were trying to shrink himself.
“Please don’t mind Pangth. He’s not the smartest dragon and he likes to make things harder on me. I’ve never heard of a bronze Impressing a girl though. Nor have I ever seen any of the odd colors this place has. It’s a bit of a shock for us. I just do a better job of NOT getting someone upset about it.”

I see - then you are not stupid just late. That's fine then. the Bronze said as he fluttered his wings. His head tilting back as he looked towards his bonded. Indeed he was a bronze. He snorted a little and then gave an almost coughing sound. His head pivoted then as his eyes bore down into the blue rider. So he was new at the Weyr and unused to their ways and things? Well he was going to get a shock out of Nyocia then. He huffed a little and then settled as his lovely bonded stroked his head knobs.
"The hatching was only recent. Don't mind Razuth either - he has had problems coping. We have been getting harassed enough as is - because if his choice. But I don't regret it. The old hide bound leaders have the problem with it." She stated as she stared down at the dragon - her eyes holding a sad look for a moment. Then she pulled herself together and looked at the man. "You are new to the Weyr then? Has anyone bothered to introduce you to people? The Weyrwoman is someone you already met - as well as the Weyrleader. The Master Healer in Residence in Nixsha. The Candidate Master is Meagen of Brown Toath. The Weyrling Master is M'ran of Brown Firth. " She said politely as she looked around.
"Anyways, I apologize for Razuth's attitude - he is frustrated and your dragon managed to hit his button." She said politely as she looked at the blue. Perhaps it was best she kept Razuth from this blue's presence? It might save some trouble.

Pangth let out another one of his huffing laughs, clearly unbothered by the bronze.
Mine probably thinks I’m stupid right now too. He thinks it would just be better if I kept my mouth shut. Even if I do not open my mouth to talk like he does. And if we were suppose to be here at a certain time then someone should have said so. Not our fault we didn’t have a map of the south.
Pangth walked off a little, back closer to D’main and plopped down on the ground next to him. The dragon had a smug look on his face as he let his eyes fall half shut, just resting a bit. D’mian stayed on edge though, half fearful that the bronze would attack him after the look he got. Razuth was small next to Pangth but he was still big enough to harm D’mian.
D’mian cleared his throat a little as he listened to Angel speak, now feeling a little embarrassed about his reaction. The pair must be tired of reactions like this. But D’mian was one of those ‘old hide bound leaders’ for him this was like a gold deciding that a male would be a perfect rider. It just didn’t quite click in his mind that such a thing could happen.
“I apologize for our reaction. It’s been a long time since we’ve been around this many fellow riders, some of us have forgotten our manners. And I’m sure getting this kind of a reaction every time someone new sees the two of you gets old quickly.” He gave the girl as much of a smile as he could muster up. “I have met a few people so far but I haven’t really gone out of my way yet to meet others. I’ve never been the most uh social person and after spending turns with only my thoughts and Pangth to keep me company it’s taking me awhile to adjust to other people.” He gave her another rather pathetic looking smile before rolling his eyes at Pangth. The dragon only wiggled down onto the ground a little, making himself more comfortable. “Pangth has a habit of pushing buttons. He doesn’t mean to be a little snot but we’re the ones that should be apologizing to you and Razuth.”

Someone had been awake and watching the young pair on their morning exercise. Little they may know but she always watched them, but then again she had a habit of 'terrorizing' some of the weyr's newest additions if their paths happened to cross. Today however one of her favor hatchlings was destracted by the newly arrived blue, maybe she should greet them. Besides, it was only polite.
Her weyr might be on the lowest level of the Weyr but it was hard to miss the 47 meters tall violet queen glidding in on the small gathering. The moment her feet touched the ground her nose held the little bronze down and promptly started affectionately licking her son. It was her favorite passtime with her bronze sons, unusual for a queen to still be preocupied with her children after they had hatched.
You are so cute when your angry the dotting mother said, finally releasing Razuth. Greetings Pangth, to you and yours
(and randomly Jorindath ;D)

Razuth just huffed as he glared at the blue. If he was a bird his feathers would be rather ruffled. His eyes adverted to his bonded - and he didn't realize until it was too late... what was happening to him. Ewwwww! Bath time and not in a way he liked. Mooommmm! Cut it out - Cut it out! This is not dignified for a bronze of my stature! he exclaimed as he tried to wriggle away from the great violet.
One of the few bronzes in the clutch - he apparently was actively favored by his mother. Mostly because of what he did when he chose his bonded - making all those old Hide bound wherry necked old timers pop their veins. Sweet! Go for the new age dragons! He was so totally gonna make more of them have strokes - before he was fully grown.
Angel burst into laughter then - at the arrival and antics of the violet. "This is Razuth's mother. Our lovely violet Queen Jorindath." She said as she motioned towards the violet. Then she shifted a little uncomfortably. Well at least she wasn't receiving a ton of attention like she usually did. This was something unprecedented. Someone that seemed a little old fashioned - that wasn't trying to bitch her out for impressing a bronze.
This was rather nice.

First a bronze with a female rider, now a purple dragon. Purple queen dragon. Pangth was having a fit of giggles, though it was impossible to tell if it was because of Jorindath and Razuth or because of his riders reactions to the new dragon. D’mian kept a rather blank look on his face, working hard to process all of this. He finally blinked a few times, coming out of his thoughts. He faced Jorindath and bowed to the queen dragon. The last thing he wanted to do was anger a queen.
“Uh greetings Queen Jorindath. It is a pleasure to see you in person. I’m sorry we got here too late to see your clutch hatch in person but it must have been an impressive one if a dragon like Razuth came from it. And I mean that in a good way too.” He quickly shut his mouth and his eyes. He didn’t know what sort of temper a purple dragon had and if he had said something that could be taken as an insult he didn’t want to see her claws coming at him.
Pangth worked on stopping his giggles and gave a rather human looking nod to Jorindath.
Hello Jorindath. Is your rider following after you? Or did you just come by yourself to see Razuth?

Wakey wakey, 'rethy!
J'reth cracked one eye open to regard his window - sun barely up - and buried his face in his pillow again.
I was in the middle of a wonderful dream, Labby. Don't spoil it yet.
And how are you going to make friends with the new sister if you are an old, lazy bum of a rider?
Unfortunately, the bronze had a point. He had made himself a promise that he would befriend the female bronze rider - his sister, according to Labby - at her Hatching. Also unfortunately, that meant leaving his lovely weyrmate in bed. Alone.
Sun's hardly up, Labby.
Crippled bronze Hoggle seemed to have settled down near J'reth right hand, because he suddenly received a vicious bite right there. Stifling a curse, J'reth sat upright in bed.
Apparently, the resident bronzes were determined to get him out of bed. He stumbled away from the bed to get dressed, tucking the blanket back down to avoid waking Cerri.
O stubborn bronze thing, where is the little sister? he asked as he shimmied into his signature grey trousers.
Flattery will get you nowhere. She's in the Bowl, exercising.
Grey trousers, white shirt, black vest-and-boots, and a quick rub of the mint stick later, he pronounced himself ready to go. Go down to the weyrbowl, where he would find the only female bronze rider probably in all of Pern.
~*~
When he got there, he found more than just his quarry. Another rider was with her, an average-looking blue rider about his age. He guess his rank by the blue dragon nearby. Also present was Jordinath, who seemed rather fond of her unorthodox son.
Greet Jordinath, he went to tell his dragon - only to find that the big lizard was asleep. Typical. The bronze would rout him from his mate, but ask the bronze to do the same? No thank you!
"Good morning!" he called, forcing more cheer into his voice than he actually felt. Some riders liked mornings - J'reth liked to sleep with his Pet.

Inolyn is currently in the dinning caverns, I came alone. She can be very busy so please excuse her
Inolyn was trying to have breakfast without falling asleep in it. Her hair a mess it was a wonder that she had bothered to come down instead of sleep. She wasn't a very good morning person but she did try.
Having made her greeting the violet queen moved aside. Even without Labranth joining them too there was more then enough dragons present to make the little people feel smothered. And if anything the bluerider had said upset her it didn't even look like she had been listening.

Angel was getting a little overwhelmed with what was happening. But she had to get used to it - and soon. Otherwise there was going to be a harder life ahead of her. That was an understatement. Being impressed to a bronze - and being the only female bronzrider on Pern - would do that. Especially considering how Razuth acted 90% of the time. Her attention went to the bluerider - as she gave him a wry smile. Doing her best to seem not too much like other Bronzeriders.
She didn't want people thinking she was full of herself. She was not full of herself for impressing bronze - if anything she was utterly confused. She had no idea why Razuth had chosen her - but she loved him nonetheless. She felt his comfort as he nudged her side now - doing his best to avoid his mother and the blue dragon. That was when the other bronzerider approached. Her eyes widened as she bowed at the waist a little.
"Greetings." She said politely as she looked towards the blue rider - then Jorindath. She was definitely an unconventional bronzerider.

D'mian glanced over to the new rider as he came over, giving him a nod of greeting and mumbling a 'hello' to him. The blue rider took a few steps back, trying to get a little closer to his own dragon, feeling slightly overwhelmed. He did his best not to show it, keeping the look on his face neutral and blank.
Pangth stayed where he was, the dragon half worried that if he started moving some new human would show up and get squished. Ah well say good morning to yours for us Jordinth. I'm sure mine will see her sooner or later. The dragon peered over at J'reth wondering who this new man was. He looked sorta important. Or at least had to be a rider if the girl was bowing to him.

Ridiculous lizard.
J'reth was not happy with his over-grown reptile of a lifemate. Stupid thing sends him out to face the horrors of the morning, but would the big lizard help him out? No.
"Don't do that, Angel," he told the female bronzerider - okay, okay, Little Sister - as she bowed at the waist. No doubt in deference to his rank and age, but that was definitely not the way to begin the sort of mentor-relationship Labby had imagined. Although, he imagined not many people would start by calling a new weyrling by her nickname...
"J'reth, rider of bronze Labyrinth," he introduced himself to the pair. A sudden pressure on his shoulder prompted him to add, "And this is Hoodlum."
The bronze firelizard nipped His ear for screwing up the name, again, but otherwise settled for a continued nap.
It's Hoggle, and you know it.
"Heddle, I mean." He grinned at the twin grumblings form his bronze companions.
"Hogwart? It doesn't matter. Good morning, bright Jordinath!"
The bronze rider saluted the queen with a jauntiness he did not want to feel. He would be so much more awake after a nice cup of hot klah. But first, duty.
"Labby told me I might find you here. Of course the big lump couldn't be bothered to join me, but I'm sure he'll seek you two out on his own. You quite fascinate him, you know." The and me remained unspoken.
