Miri was a bit bored, waiing for her new fire lizard egg to hatch. With Dalarath taking a nap, she had nothing to do but watch the slight movements of the little pearl-colored egg on the hearth. as she daydreamed, staring aimlessly at the wall, dalarath spoke.
Mine! your little one is about to hatch! you may want to get something to feed it with... "Whh?! oh!" thanks Dal' Miri said, standing up as she also noticed the egg shaking.
She rushed out of the room, to look for some food for her flitter, as the pearly white egg began cracking.
Miri smiled, and brought a bowl of food into the room, sitting back on her stool and watching the hatching flitter on the hearth.
suddenly, s'ven 's green Meril and a few other fire lizards popped into her small weyr and began to hum in their sweet piercing tones.
Meril landed on her arm, and her eyes were a bright blue of happiness.
the egg in front of miri broke into two halves, and out came an adorable little barred flitter!
The little silvery-white and purple creature kreeled her hunger to miri, and the lizards' hums increased as miri grinned and picke dup the little one, feeding the barred a bit of meat.
the little one's eyes swirled faster and faster, and immediately, miri began recieving emotions from the barred.
"I think I'll call you... Coresan."
Coresan gave a happy little burble as miri gave her the last piece of meat, and coresan was full.
"Now i wonder what you will do...?"
she wondered, watching the barred peering around at the room with interest.
