It had been a sevenday or so since the Hatching. The weyrlings had been given time to adjust to their new lifestyles, but they had been working hard all the same, feeding their new companions and seeing to their every need. It was likely that they hadn't gotten much sleep or had much free time for the past few days. Baby dragons were demanding, and they wouldn't give their riders a break. M'ran could remember those days well. But dragons grew quickly, as the weyrlings were doubtlessly realizing now. And growing dragons meant growing hides--and that meant the itch!
It was a warm, sunny day, so they were meeting outside the barracks. There were small pots of oil lined up on a table, one for each weyrling. Firth was curled up nearby, watching the young dragons file in.
M'ran waited until everyone had arrived ((unless someone wants to be late)) before he began. "I bet your dragons have been complaining a lot lately about itchy hides. Well, the solution is here." He held up his own pot of oil. "The dragonets need to be oiled regularly while they're growing, to ensure that their hides don't crack. Even adult dragons need a good oiling once in a while. Those of you who have flitts know how to do this already. The rest of you, I'll give you a quick demonstration."
He found a dry spot on Firth's shoulder and rubbed some oil into it firmly. "Don't be too weak about it. The dragons will let you know if you're doing it too hard. And trust me, they'll let you know if they want more." He gave Firth a pat. "If you have any questions, please ask. Otherwise, get to work!"

Angelischiel had started a regimen for her and Razuth to do together. She had consoled with the Dragon Healers on what kinds of stretches would be ok for him, and they did them together. He joined her morning and night for her routines. As o late her lovely bronze was commenting on an Itchy hide.
This lesson was the first, and she knew what it would be about. Just as the man started to speak, Angel found herself getting supplies. She scrubbed Razuth down, who seemed quiet for a bronze. But she didn't mind, he was quiet usually. Actions spoke louder then words. Already Angel had been getting flak. She had a lot to prove.
The first female Bronze Rider - in the History of Pern. It was like when Ruth hatched. Everyone had disapproved. Someone had commented that they were waiting to see her dragon die in a lesson or something. Because that's what happened to freaks.
She sighed as she worked on Razuth and when his oiling was complete she approached the Weyrlingmaster. "Sir, I'm Angel as you already know. I'm impressed to Bronze Razuth. I wanted to let you know - I want no special treatment. If possible I want you to treat us harder then you would the others. I don't want anytihng to rub off on you with the wherries that gossip. ' She said in a smooth voice.

Turath and S'ven
Turath stalked over to a table, with S'ven trying to keep up with the big tan. Mine, if this lesson is about getting rid of itches, then i will need you to keep up with me and get rid of my itchies! Turath demanded. S'ven ran his hand theough his hair and half-smiled, walking over to where turath had stopped, in front of a table all their own, for now. "Hmm.. I wonder if you will be the same to oil as Meril is- i mean, you're bigger Tur', but still..." S'ven thoughtfully said. He called the little green flitter, and picked up a cloth and a little jar of oil from the table. S'ven noticed Miri and her green Dalarath a another table, looking like 'what should i do now', so he waved his adopted older sister over, smiling.
Miri and Dalarath
Miri looked down at the table and the things upon it, thinking hard. I've only done Coresan once...and Meril once, but... Miri worried to Dalarath. Mine, i trust you to oil me- trust yourself! The small green said, her eyes whirling in the calm tones of green and blue with her normal hint of worry in them. As Miri smiled fondly at her dragonling and picked up the jar of oil, she noticed her brother waving at her and grinned. Well, look who the Tan dragged in! She joked to dalarath. Dalarath snorted in amusement, and followed Hers over to the other table. "Hey Tan rider, i see Turath is leading you!" She teased him.
"Well...well...." S'ven tried to put up an argument, but failed. "Maybe we should pay attention to M'ran."

Transiit and Lanth
"It is about time. I assumed I would have to get something like this soon. I am lucky I already knew how to do this because if Sabz Malih..."
The little green was lying on Lanth's head, sunbathing. Oblivious of the work to be done.
Transiit rolled up her sleeves and got to work...
Do you think the lizard would help?
"I don't know whether she would want to move at all, it looks very comfortable."
Lanth snorted waking up the lizard. Sabz sat up scolding the Teal. Before look intently at what Transiit was doing.
"Maybe she might figure it out..." ____________________________________________________ J'kel and Kulith
Come on, get to it. You heard the man. Hard.
J'kel obediently started scrubbing.
Harder!
J'kel scrubbed harder
Harder!
J'kel scrubbed even harder
Ha-
"If I scrub any harder I shall scrub your hide off."
Fine... Kulith said as J'kel got to work again. Harder...He whispered, just to annoy J'kel.

S'ven flung an arm over Miri's shoulder, gathering supplies with his other hand. "Well, Miri, get your stuff together! Dalarath's not getting any less itchy as you stand there! Call Coresan over- where is that barred, anyway?" Miri nearly jumped when her brother suddenly hung an arm about her shoulders. Grimacing at him, she punched him playfully in the arm, before moving to a table between S'ven and Lanth. the smaller Dalarath gracefully followed Hers to the new table, and hummed at Turath. Well Tanone, Mine 'got' Yours before, now Yours has 'gotten' Mine back, hasn't he? I am not afraid of you, Tanone, but do not try to scare me- Mine wont take that lightly. Dalarath said, all serious for a moment. once the tan had nodded, the dainty green hop-skipped over to Hers- the warning was delivvered, now to being happy!
Dalarath, I'm sure Turath would not think of scaring you! Miri said. the barred Coresan popped out of *between* and landed, ice-cold, on Dalarath's head. the green shook her head. The little one is too cold! she cannot sit on my head cold! Dalarath complained. Miri chuckled, and started ioling her dragon, humming a little tune to herself.
Turath was leaning into S'ven 's ministrations, and S'ven laughed. "Turath! If you do that so much, i can't reach all the cracked spots!" He exclaimed out loud. He looked over at J'kel and Kulith, and brreathed a sig of relief that at least Turath occasionaly listened to him without alot of force- the tan just liked to boss him around. J'kel would- and seemed to already- have a handful with his Bronze.
Miri looked around, and noticed a great lack of weyrlings oiling their dragons. turning towards Transiit, she asked the tealrider, "Hey, transiit, do you know where everyone is??"

Transiit and Lanth
Hey, Lanth I wonder where all the other Weyrlings are, they have all disappeared, the is only us, J'kel and Kulith, Miri and Dalarath, S'ven and Turath and Angel and Razuth... Woooh scary they all disappeared on the face of Pern...
Or maybe they just didn't want to come to the Weyrling lesson, which is pretty silly because now that they aren't here, they wont know what to do...
Maybe they disappeared off the face of Pern, that would seem to me to be the only logical explanation, they shouldn't be able to just miss a Weyrling lesson.
I don't see how that they can just disappear off the face of Pern, but, if you say so...I-
Just then Miri talked to Transiit. Transiit didn't actually really hear what she said she just rolled her eyes at Miri and looked away...
She asked if you knew where everybody was...
I knew that... Lanth looked at her unbelieving...
Uhuh
I don't even know why she is bothering to talk to me, I don't want to talk to her...
Why?
I don't like people... I don't see why she doesn't go ask someone else, J'kel for instance...

OOC: Just as a note guys, we imagine that NPC weyrlings are at the lesson, but they're NPC. We don't write them, there's little reason to since the point is to rp the played characters, not deal with masses of unofficial ones. You're free to mention NPCs, have your characters say things offhand to them, even have them reply, but we're not here to play them so more often than not, they aren't. Usually, characters don't worry about it.
Summary: All the weyrlings from Jorindath's hatching are there. They have not disappeared.
Also, it looks like Kat pretty-much covered what's needed in this lesson. Do you really want me to continue it? I'd basically just have K'laon send M'ran on an errand, look around and say, "Looks like we're done here, I'm leaving." xP
