OoC: ...I just realized your name sounds just like ice, and I am currently (...kinda currently) writing a paper on water. Wow, this world.
Oh, Amirinth is excited! So excited! Hurry up K'laonMine, Amirinth so longs to see this!
Maybe if you got your sharding wings out of my way, I could get going.
Oh no! Amirinth has gotten a better idea! She will go with you! Without further ado, she folded her wings, curled into the best ball she could manage, and dropped. K'laon clung to her, as he had been for the last few minutes as she flew in tight circles over the lake, as best he could.
Moments later, they collided with the water, went under, and K'laon kicked briskly off his dragon's back. Alright, no more water tricks with Amirinth- she was going to kill him. He emerged from the water coughing, with his nose aching as an extra bonus for his dragon's insanity.
Soon he was out of the water entirely, Amirinth's head underneath him. That was so fun K'laonMine! Let's do it again!
"Not likely, bug."
Ouch.

((hehe yea, i say my name like Ice. and yippie for writing papers, though one about water sounds boring))
Pangth nudged D'mian along, the rider following the worn path to the lake while the dragon tromped along on everything that grew to the side of the path. It was funny watching the dragon try to walk behind him, unwilling to fly to the lake and leave D'mian behind since the he felt like stretching out his legs.
"You can fly Pangth, just go in circles if you don't want to leave me behind." The dragon let out a little mental snort and just nudged D'main along faster, making the rider run for a couple of steps before returning to his walk. Just because I look funny following you doesn't mean I can't do it.
D'mian shrugged, not really minding how silly his dragon looked walking behind him. The pair walked in a comfortable silence with each other as they neared the lake. D'mian stopped as he noticed a green circling the lake before the drake curled up and went under. The blue rider squinted a bit as he watched the lake, wondering if he had really seen the pink dot of a rider on the dragon before she had gone into the lake. "Don't you get any ideas Pangth, I'm not letting you do something like that to me... I enjoy living even when I do whine about it."
He walked a little faster now, absently chewing on the inside of his lip before he finally a person in the water. At least they seemed to be ok from this distance, they were moving at least and not looking like a floating body. Pangth let out a bugle of greeting, letting K'laon and Amirinth know they were no longer alone out here. Hello there pretty green! Would you and yours mind if me and mine joined you?

OoC: Yes, it was very boring. But also very easy, so it was okay. xD
Amirinth snapped her head towards the shore at Pangth's bugle, sending K'laon flying from it back into the water. He struggled upright again and rounded on the Green. "Shard it Amirinth, I'm going to wring that skinny green neck!"
That will have to wait, K'laonMine, Amirinth replied with a cheerful rumble. She had no worries about her rider actually being serious. She turned back towards the shore. We have visitors, see? Hello, handsome Pangth! We would not mind at all. Did you see Amirinth's trick?
K'laon peered around Amirinth to see who was coming. Pangth and D'mian? Good company, bad timing. He headed for shallower waters and rubbed his stinging back. Sharding Green.

D’main cringed slightly as he saw the pink blob of a rider go flying off the green dragon. The poor person out there must be taking a beating. He glanced at Pangth, silently asking the dragon who it was out in the water since he couldn’t quite make it out for himself. It is the very lovely Amirinth and her uhh rider. You know what his name is. D’mian let out a little snort, Pangth had always been bad at remember names, unless they were the names of green dragons. Poor K’laon though, hopefully the guy was ok after being dunked under water then thrown off his dragon like that.
Pangth waddled into the water, he was too close to really try and fly into it even if walking into it was rather ungraceful. Yes we saw! It was very nice too, I would try to copy it but it could never be half as good as yours was. Plus you got your rider to go along with it. DamiMine, he is a... The blue looked back at his rider, expecting D’mian to fill in the insult, which the rider did. “Spoil sport.” Mine is a spoil sport! Never lets me do anything fun like that.
D’mian walked down closer to the water to meet K’laon as he swam towards the shore. “And he makes it sound like it’s a bad thing that I never let him try to drown me. I hope you’re ok there K’laon, at least you don’t seem to be hurt too badly from all that abuse you took.”

Amirinth sloshed over to greet Pangth, eyes whirling cheerfully. Originally K'laonMine was going to do it himself, but then Amirinth got a better idea. She rumbled. He was starting to get scared, Amirinth thinks. Apparently jumping off dragons is more frightening than jumping off cliffs.
Pity Amirinth would probably never get to jump off a dragon. The only ones big enough to attempt it with were just the ones who would never allow it. The big dragons were spoil sports too.
Luckily K'laon wasn't- usually. He was seeming pretty grumpy after their latest feat. Just why Amirinth wasn't sure. A little pain like this was nothing new to either of them.
K'laon nodded to D'mian. "I'm fine, or fine as I can be considering the nut job of a dragon I've got." Amirinth was never going to outgrow being a daredevil. K'laon was reaching his limit. All the young riders around the Weyr were making him feel old (and Amirinth was only making him age faster). It made D'mian a welcome break, even if he didn't know the Bluerider well. Someone his age, finally.

Pangth let out a rumbling laugh and looked up into the sky where he imaged Amirinth had been before looking back down at the water. Amirinth’s idea was much better. Easier to see too. You can see a little rider jumping into water. This was much more impressive, everyone could see it. And you were higher then cliffs so that made it even better.[/i] Pangth was some what jealous that he couldn’t do fun things like that. At least not with D’mian riding him. And while it would be fun to go diving into the water like that by himself it wouldn’t be nearly as fun as it would be with his rider.
D’mian was thinking the same thing as K’laon, it was nice to be around someone his own age. While some of the younger kids seemed nice enough, it made him feel old and that made him cranky and anti-social. Really, right now D’mian felt good that he hadn’t started to cling to K’laon’s leg sobbing about how wonderful it was to not be the only one with a dragon in the double digits.
“Sorry that we got you thrown off Amirinth again. At least I assume that was us. I didn’t want to bother the two of you but I thought it might be a good idea to make sure that no riders started to drown in case she decided to go diving again. It was impressive to watch though, I can’t say that I’ve ever seen another dragon do something like that before.”

Amirinth hadn't actually been very high- she and K'laon weren't completely suicidal- but she wasn't going to argue that. If she someone thought something was better than it had been, why disagree? Thank you, thank you, she rumbled, ducking her head in a playful bow. She liked Pangth.
K'laon shook his head. "As soon as she got to realizing she had me on her head, I'm sure she would have tossed me like a ragdoll anyways." Better that she had thrown him off without thinking about it first. "Of course, she may have caught me again too, which might have been preferable." A dragon's feet had plenty of padding; they had a lot of body to support. "She wouldn't let me drown, at any rate." Even Greens weren't so brainless that they would kill their riders.
A wide grin spread across K'laon's face at D'mian's praise. If someone else thought the trick was impressive, it was plenty worth the pain. "You obviously haven't seen much of Amirinth." Reckless stunts were her daily bread, and, when he had an audience, K'laon didn't mind them so much either.
