Aleyi laughed. "Yeah, I'd be in a hurry to Impress just to get to food." Especially considering how hungry the dragons were when they hatched. All the excitement of Impression had also come with the unexpected feel of an utterly empty belly. Luckily she wasn't a dragon and could eat whenever she felt the inclination... and had the energy. She nudged Brooke's haunches with a finger. "Go get us some food." The queen snorted, lifted off, and came back with a bit of meat for herself.
"You missed the 'us' part," Aleyi mumbled. Brooke chittered and held out a bite to Tuck. Problem solved.

R'mer rolled his eyes. "I see your gold is the mistress of the deliberate misunderstanding."
Which it clearly was...the queen had understand, very well, what Brooke was asking. She had just chosen not to.
"Silly firelizard." But pretty. You couldn't deny pretty...but then most golds were. R'mer wondered how much of that was a culture that had valued the gold dragons so highly for so long. How much of it was that people expected gold to be pretty and associated golds with beautiful women?

"Regrettably." Aleyi smiled as Tuck started to hold out his scrap to her, but he withered under Brooke's stare and ate it himself. The Brown's share of Brooke's food wasn't enough for her to be disappointed when he wasn't able to share, but Tuck sure was cute.
Silly too, even if R'mer's comment was more likely focused on Brooke. "Nothing new for them though, hm?" Aleyi didn't mind too much, even if it did mean they weren't going to fetch her breakfast.

R'mer grinned. "I don't think I've ever met a firelizard who wasn't silly. Some dragons are, too. Tinth can be."
Tinth could be anything Tinth felt like being, as if he had not really hatched with a personality so much as a spectrum of moods that embraced any behavior known to dragonkind. He was amazed the blue hadn't tried to chase a queen yet.
Good thing. He'd never catch one and R'mer would barely know what to do with a queenrider anyway. He had enough worry about the girls who rode the Weyr's barred dragons.
The Weyr needed more cute *male* greenriders. Thunder flickered between, returning with his own food and rather pointedly eating it. Unless, of course, Brooke told him to do something else...

"Jerglith is," Aleyi said with a smile and a shrug. "It's worse with dragons, they're so big."
Usually only worse in a funny way. Being the size they were, dragons didn't get all that many chances to be silly. Fire lizards were always up and everywhere, and had nothing better to do. It was more worth noticing it with dragons- well, depending on the dragon. With Greens it was nothing new.
Aleyi smiled slightly as Thunder came back with a bit of food of his own too- someone here was setting an example. "I think I like Jerglith lots more." Pip gurgled, and Brooke started preening. Best way to show she was ignoring someone was to focus on herself.

R'mer grinned. "Oh, every dragon is the best on Pern."
A pause. "But I think my troublemaker blue is waking up and about to demand he be bathed and oiled. I should finish this klah and go."
He didn't want to, but the life of a dragonrider was a never ending round of duties. Dragons, after all, could not bathe themselves the way the much smaller firelizards managed to...although Thunder would, no doubt, want a bath too when he saw Tinth getting one.
Well. At least he didn't take long to take care of.

"Right." Aleyi laughed.
Luckily for her, Jerglith wouldn't be waking up for a while yet. "Well, good luck with that." It would be a chilly bath, early in the morning on top of a mountain. "I'll try and convince my flitters to go help you."
She glanced at Pip, who had been busy trying to flirt Thunder's meal into her belly. She wouldn't be hard, and probably not Tuck either. Brooke had her own agenda, but she was a good worker when she actually felt like being one. Most likely the Gold would be sticking with her, but two was better than nothing.
Meanwhile, Aleyi figured she would continue trying to gain breakfast as effortlessly as possible or to fall asleep in the process.
