Name: Emmyt
Age: 17
Rank: Candidate (Dragon or Wher)/ Apprentice Weaver
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Hetero
Appearance: The first thing you notice about Emy are her eyes. They are brown, but have a sparkle that some may call “impish” that just draws attention to them. Actually, they are the exact same color as her hair, but no one notices because her eyes fixate them.
Her hair is not very long; it only falls to about her shoulder, but it is curly. If it was straightened (“who would WANT to, even if they could?”), it may be a foot longer. It’s that curly. Oftentimes, her heart-shaped face is split in half by a wide smile full of straight white teeth.
Her figure leaves a lot to be desired. She’s short, but her legs are long in comparison to her torso. This lends her a graceful quality that adds to her stature. She is thin, too. A kinder Headwoman has labeled her figure as “willowy”, some of the blunter boys give her the label “completely flat”. She makes up for this by wearing many skirts under a belted long tunic, even though she prefers slacks. However, most agree that if it wasn’t for her hair, she looks like a boy in slacks. A scar from her past stands out on her arm, even against her pale skin.
Personality: Emy enjoys talking. Talking to anyone. Well, talking to anyone or ANYTHING, really. If somebody would sit still long enough, she would tell them her whole life story, down to how many toenails she’d clipped (“once every four sevendays times sixteen turns times nine, no ten, toe nails equals… a lot”). She’s also outspoken, so it’s hard for some to put up with her. She’s not outspoken to the point of being disrespectful. She has her limits, too, you know. She just likes and needs to have her ideas heard. She won’t get pushed around in a conversation.
Emy has a strong presence that is hard to ignore. If she isn’t talking, she’s planning on doing or saying something (sometimes off-the-wall) to let people know that she’s there. When in doubt, she doesn’t ask permission. She asks forgiveness. It’s just easier for her that way.
In any situation, she will attempt to take control, or at least to help. She is quick to make decisions, but may not think them through to future consequences. She has grown up standing up for others, principally those who are younger than her. She gets a strong mother’s instinct when around young anything, both animals and humans.
She is nimble, both with her hands and on her feet. At a Gather, she will be the first on the dance floor, even if she is alone. She will dance by herself. To her, it’s everyone else’s loss. This trait especially holds true when it comes to weaving. She is extremely fast with a loom.
History: Emy has lived in the Weyr since she was twelve. Her parents came there as refugees, and work as Beastcrafters. She has one older brother that is six turns older than her, which is where she learned to stand up for herself, and two little sisters, and she learned to stand up for others defending of them. At age 12, she began learning the weaving trade. More specifically, tapistry weaving. She started learning from the Weyr’s resident Master Weaver after showing an aptitude for tapistry design.
She has Stood all of the Hatchings since she was fourteen, but has never Impressed. The first Hatching she attended, she was knocked over and scratched by a Bronze. This hasn’t dampened her desire for one of the beautiful creatures she tends to after a Fall.
Pets: None
Other: She's artistic and enjoys making dragon-poker cards.
Name Change: Emy
Color Preferences: Any female, really
Colors NOT wanted: None
Dragon Name and Color: Blue Lokenath
Name Origin: Lokë, god of lies. Lokë guided Hodor to murder Baldr.
Dragon Age: Hatchling
Dragon Appearance: Lokenath’s hide is the shade of the sky on a good day, a deep and very clear blue. The only variations in it are a spattering of dark blues on his stomach and throat and some very dark blue around his eyes. The ridges over Lokenath’s eyes seem to jut out a little, overshadowing them, and giving him an eternal sneaky appearance. A larger Blue, Lokenath is just under 30 meters in length.
Dragon Personality: Although not intrusively rude, Lokenath has an obsession with knowing everything about anyone and seems to especially pick up on the bad parts, which he likes to exaggerate when telling others his stories. He’s not really a liar, but likes to makes things seem a lot better or worse (usually worse) than they really are and that usually gets across the wrong message. Lokenath is one of those people that seem able to convince anyone of anything, no matter how farfetched, and likes using this talent to his advantage.
