Appearance: Yasha stands at about 5'7''. Her figure is slightly on the pudgy side - a side effect from a rather cushy life and little exercise. Her auburn hair reaches to the middle of her back. It is bushy and often hard to manage. She usually keeps the hair by her face tied in two braids to keep it out of her eyes. Yasha's eyes are light brown, almost amber in some lights.
She can usually be seen wearing skirts or dresses of some type. In day-to-day life she wears what would amount to little "sun dresses" in our terms. During Gathers, she gets the finest dresses she can afford. She enjoys nothing more than dressing up.
Personality: Yasha enjoys life. She loves seeing new things and having new experiences. She is eager to try anything once. Because of her upbringing, she has become rather spoiled and doesn't quite realize that not everyone gets what they want 100% of the time. However, when she does not get what she wants, instead of whining or complaining, she tries to figure out a way to get it herself.
She does often have a problem with people not noticing her. Being one of many children, she is sensitive about being overlooked. If she thinks someone is not paying enough attention to her, she will do what she can to draw the center of attention back to herself.
Now out of her sheltered cocoon at home, she is just now starting to realize how little she knows and how few skills she has. She is determined to better herself, no matter what she has to do to get there.
History: One of the many children of the Lord of Danac Hold, Yasha was never without anything she wanted: dresses, runners, firelizard eggs - anything. (However, when that one firelizard egg hatched, she was not quick enough with the food and it blinked away between, much to her disappointment.)
Her parents spoiled her and her siblings quite badly. However, on the other hand, this was often because their parents did not have the time or desire to pay much attention to their children, other than the oldest son who is being groomed to inherit the Hold. The gifts were intended to replace the time that they could not spend together.
Now that she has turned 16, her parents have started searching for a suitable husband to marry her off to. A few suitable candidates have approached her, but none that Yasha is particularly thrilled with. Just recently a dragon came to the Hold to search and picked up Yasha, with several other Hold teens. She is thrilled at the chance to stand, having never seen a hatching before.
Pets: She has several runners back at the Hold that she claims are hers, but they officially belong to her father. Other than that, there are also a few canines that roam around the hold that she also calls her own, however she did not bring them with her to the Weyr.
Dragon Name and Color: Blue Canuth
Dragon Age: Hatchling
Dragon Appearance: Overall, Canuth’s hide is a middle shade of blue, but has a variety of other blues mixed in with it. For the most part, these varying degrees fade easily from the main blue to whatever color they are, but some are more abrupt and can give him a pinto-ish look in places. Average-sized, Canuth is about 26.5 meters.
Dragon Personality: Canuth can seem very shy around dragons older than him, but doesn’t seem bothered as much by size. He knows to give respect where it is due, but also has a bit of a controlling side and likes to know that there are at least a few colors of dragons that he has natural precedence over. But even though the Barreds and Greens are a lower rank than him, he sometimes still treats them like queens in an attempt to get the interest of the females. Canuth can be a shameless flirt when he feels like it. To his rider though, Canuth likes to eternally be the leader.
