Name: Rhen
Age: 17
Rank: Candidate
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual, though probably wouldn't fuss about flights.
Appearance: She has a very sweet, pretty face- balanced features are framed by very dark brown hair that barely reaches her shoulders, cut somewhat angularly. Dark brown eyes are clear and bright; often open wide in observation of her surroundings. Rhen’s skin’s lightly tanned similarly to Lyron’s, with their being from the same hometown. A sprinkle of freckles dots a rounded nose. Her lips are perhaps a little thinner than would be ideal on her face, but the overall effect is nice enough.
Her face may be attractive enough, but the effect is lessened by rarity of her smile, instead tending to revert to a more inscrutable default expression. Her whole manner is very still, a somewhat deceptive poise that suggests indifference to her environment. This appearance is far from the truth, and she’s constantly examining and reexamining the world around her.
Her frame is 5’7”, and built well enough, though she lacks much in the line of a bosom or curves. Rhen is frequently judged as a bit younger than she really is. She dresses conservatively, and while she doesn’t put a world of effort into her personal dress, she’s fastidious about keeping clean.
Personality: She can be a tough nut to crack sometimes. Rhen’s first impression would be quiet, but not out of shyness. She’s just one to keep her opinions to herself, and her inner emotions even more so. Upon being drawn into a conversation, she would choose her words carefully. She’s the essence of noncommittal diplomacy the majority of the time, and far from being warm and fuzzy all of the time. Very polite though, on the whole.
However, once you capture her true interest, she’s much more interesting, though this can be hard to do- She’s very logical and grounded all of the time, and her tolerance for nonsense is a little low. This can lead her to be a little judgmental at times, and it can take time and effort for her to get rid of the conception she’s formed. While not so much a rebel, if she sees something as stupid, she’ll refuse on principle, not paying much attention to whether or not the matter is conventional. Stubbornness.
But once you have her interest, you’d find a very intelligent female, one who’s open to discussion, and might even surprise you with a grin every now and then. There’s sarcasm and a wry sense of humor in abundance as well, if Rhen likes you well enough to admit to it. This is the self she shows to those she befriends, though she’ll get on amiably with most. She possesses a desire to learn, especially enjoying skills requiring dexterity of the hands.
History: Rhen was raised in the same small hold that Lyron was, though under (obviously) different circumstances. Her family was much smaller, only herself and her father, who’d had some training in weaving, and now took care of a lot of the need for that craft for their small area. The income from this supported Rhen and her father very comfortably, for her mother had passed away from a sickness when she was too young to remember all that much.
It may be from being raised solely by a busy father with income to spare that Rhen developed her more independent attitude than what was the norm for her town. The modest monetary excess was often spent towards books and even a little travel, so the girl was exposed to (and soaked up) any information she could get from a young age. While her quality of living was nothing like the luxury those of the blood, she had a very good life for her area.
She was actually very close to being married off to a son of one of her father’s connections when she was Searched, and was quite happy for this chance to escape. To her, becoming a dragonrider would be as good of a career as she could hope for as a female… but not much more. She’s yet to make a decision on how badly she wants it, and is trying not to let herself get swept away by the tales of how wonderful it will be until she’s experienced it. As for the boy she’s been searched with, she knows Lyron vaguely, but doesn’t seem to have a lot of patience for him, not that she’d express it externally much.
-If a Candidate:
Color Preferences: Not really?
Colors NOT wanted: I don't really love the idea of a Blue for her, but I guess I'm flexible.
