Name: Shador
Age: 21
Rank: Violet Rider
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Appearance: Shador is a rather homely girl. Her hair is a plain muddy brown and shapeless. She keeps it short because it is just too thin to look good long. She has a rather unattractive, angular face. Her eyes are too big for the rest of her, and they are a drab brown color, much like her hair. She is a medium height, and she isn't too fat or too thin, but she doesn't have as many womanly curves as she would wish. She tries to stay in the latest styles and often wears extravagant clothing.
Personality: Shador is a big flirt. She loves to flirt and seduce men, and she is a master of the art. It’s hard to say whether she seeks validation through flirting, or if she just has fun doing it. At any rate, her mind is rarely far from men, and she is always looking for her next “victim.”
Some people will look down on her for her coquettry and promiscuous behavior, but the truth is, Shador is actually a good person. She is very kind and nonjudgmental, and while she may not be the brightest bulb when it comes to things like mathematics and puzzles, she has a practical mind and she is good and finding simple solutions to problems. She usually only flirts with men, but she can be friends with women, and she is sociable and friendly with other women.
One of the few times that Shador really takes her mind off of men is when she is flying with Kelth, preparing for Threadfall, and other such activities. She takes her dragonriding duties seriously, as well as her duties as a Queenrider. She is looking forward to Kelth’s clutches.
Something that people might not guess about Shador is her love for animals. She is intrigued by all creatures, from trundlebugs to runnerbeasts and of course fire-lizards and dragons. If she wasn’t a dragonrider, she would have been a beast crafter.
History: Shador was born in a small, backwoods cothold, the daughter of a prosperous man. Her only option was to marry, and that was difficult because she wasn't pretty or especially charming, and because she just had too much of a wandering eye to convince a respectable man to propose. After several failed attempts at an engagement, her father finally relented and allowed her to choose a craft.
The problem was, she didn’t know what Craft. She tried Beastcraft, but got in trouble when she let some runnerbeasts out of their pen and she quit. Next was Harper, but she didn’t have too good of a voice. She migrated to the Healer hall, and was stuck in an apprenticeship that she didn’t really like (she wasn’t that great at dealing with blood and gore) when she met a dragonrider at a Gather. Shador was flirting madly with the Bluerider when he invited her to be a candidate. She accepted immediately, overjoyed at the chance to be a rider. She impressed to her beloved Violet Kelth on her first Standing.
Weyrling training was difficult. After a few months, Shador was very bored with the no relationship rule. She almost broke it several times, but Kelth held her back. Once they graduated, she was up to her old ways. She was relieved when the Gold was the first to rise, because it meant less responsability for her, but she is nervous about Kelth’s rising because the choice will be completely up to her dragon, something new for her.
Pets: None yet, but she wants some.
-If a Rider:

Dragon Color: Violet. Her hide is a lighter purple color, with darker stripes on her face and muzzle. The tip of her tail is also a very dark purple. Her wings have swirls of different shades which are noticeable if you look closely.
