Name: Melany (meh-LAH-nee); Mel or Melly for short

Appearance: Her skin is light and peachy while freckles dot across her nose and cheeks, as well as on her knees and elbows. Her eyes are light spring green, giving her a constantly dreamy appearance. It doesn’t help that she almost always has a gentle smile on her round face. She also has a tendency to squint at far-off objects thanks to moderate case of nearsightedness.
Her hair is the color of wheat and is curled into corkscrews. It falls to just above her shoulders and she usually keeps it out of the way with pigtails or a ribbon worn like a headband.
She’s of average height at about 5’ 6” and of average weight. She has a stick-straight body that still maintains the softness of youth. She has little muscle mass due to being more of an indoors-type.
When not in her riding gear, she prefers to wear a creamy brown top, decorated with silk ribbons and ruffles over a pair of simple brown leather pants and darker brown leather boots.
Personality: Melany was raised to have a strong work ethic, something that her naturally dreamy demeanor butts heads with regularly. She doesn’t do work on her own free will and has to be told what to do. Once told, though, she’ll hop right to work and does the best job she can. She’ll often become so focused that she’ll have to be spoken to several times before she comes out of her daze, leading many to think that she may be a bit slow in the head or hard of hearing. She’s a bit of an air head and generally lacks common sense but she's brave a relentless in the fight against Thread.
Subtlety is often lost on Melany who is brash and bold. She can loud and when you get down to it rather obnoxious but she’s certainly interesting to have at any big social event.
History: Melany was born to a Tailor and holder at Danac Hold. She was the middle child in a family of three and is the only girl. Her eldest brother had a talent for weaving while younger brother was later apprenticed to become a Healer. Melany had a love of embroidery and clothes making and was destined to be taught by her mother.
When she was 15, a Greenrider came to the Hold for a Search. It was a stroke of luck that she was found. After all, she had just been helping her mother get measurements for clothing when, lost in a daydream, she literally stumbled into the dragon. She was promptly whisked away to Nyocia Weyr where she soon settled in and Impressed a lovely Green herself.

Dragon Size: She is of average size for a Green (about 22 meters) with the typical agile look of her kind though she’s more stocky than sleek.
Dragon Color: Green. She is dark green on most of her body, lightening to a medium shade along her belly, muzzle, and eyes. Her wings are the lightest part on her body, though still in the middle range. She also has a deep scar running along her left hind leg. The injury causes her to hobble when she walks.
Dragon Personality: A contrast to her rider’s fanciful demeanor, Morieth is focused on the day-to-day. She’s down-to-earth and doesn’t see much point in worrying about what may happen. She’s the prodding, somewhat chiding force that helps to get work done and she enjoys doing what she can to help out.
