Appearance: Natoia's build was not exactly blessed when it came to size. She ended up on the small side, about 5'2", and still dislikes that little disadvantage. Even though she is short, Natoia has a nice composure. Her skin is a light tan and it never burns unless the day is very sunny and hot. Natoia is graceful in the way she walks except for a small limp from an accident in her weyrbrat days. Upon her legs are reminders of the past. Scars from herdbeasts, warnings from Watch-Whers, and angry felines are visible on the girl though many are beginning to fade away.

Natoia is adorned with dark hazel eyes. Her almond shaped eyes are golden near the pupil and dark green on the iris rim. Between the pupil edge and the outer edge of the iris, a whirlwind of color resides in shades of browns and greens. Her hazel eyes are framed by charcoal black tassels that are always cascading down her back. The tips of her black hair look as though they were dipped into silver ink. The coloring never fades and you must look closely to notice the silver line.

To bring out her eyes, the girl prefers wearing earthy colors. Her attire is usually made up of green or golden brown tunics accompanied with black or dark brown breeches. Natoia will wear the occasional dress of red or white, but very rarely. For her jewelry, she always has on a corded string with a simple locket strung on it.

Personality: Natoia is a fun-loving person with an easy temper who can be a bit arrogant at times. When the pressure of life is getting heavy, Natoia can become quite capricious and nervous. When she is feeling great and happy-go-lucky, Natoia can think straight and never wavers in her decisions.

Natoia is a born leader who knows how to take control of a bad situation. She knows how to make others feel good about themselves even though she has trouble doing so for herself. Natoia has a caring heart that has never seen a boundary to love. The Greenrider is extremely protective of her dragon, Nydeeruth, and her family. She does all she can to make sure everyone is alright, but she is only one person setting a goal way too high. Along with her protective side comes a wild imagination. Natoia has been known to dream a lazy day away as she writes what pops into her head. These are days when she feels the pressure getting to her too. Sometimes, she will find a place to hide. Despite her emotional trouble, Natoia is a wonderful person with tons of spunk.

History: Natoia was born just as her mother, a Greenrider, died. The healer who assisted Natoia’s mother in labor was allowed to take the newborn babe to one of the women in the Lower Caverns. The woman had recently had a baby boy herself and welcomed the young girl into her small family. Natoia grew up a cheerful little child with her adopted brother Koray as a companion. The young girl always knew she wasn't from her foster mother's family, yet she was not curious about her birth parents except once.

Natoia had wanted to know how her parents looked due to some recent teasing about her height. Her foster mother told the worried weyrbrat that her parents were good looking people. Toia learned that she was an exact copy of her late mother with the exception of her eyes. They had her father's symphony of color. Soon after that small event, Natoia's foster mother died from an unknown illness (cancer) when the child was six. Natoia fell into a depression while her brother was sad for a bit and then got over his grief.

The young child remained sad and lonely for about two turns. During that time, Toia would go for long walks and study the scenery. She would return to where she and Koray were quartered and begin drawing what she remembered but in an abstract style. Natoia became quite skilled in this artwork and started to add poems to her drawing. One day, Natoia slowly began to act like her old self. She slowly crept out of her shell, returning to normal within a few months.

Natoia grew up to be a beautiful girl in the Weyr. She wasn't noticed much because she loved to go on walks by herself and just enjoy nature. Life was going well for the young teenager, and when the next Hatching occurred, it got even better. Natoia had not been Chosen as a candidate, and as she watched from the entrance to the Sands, a multicolored Green hurtled towards her. Natoia was knocked to her feet, but she didn’t care. She had Impressed! The Green was named Nydeeruth, and she was a happy creature. Later that evening, Natoia’s foster brother, Koray, now K’ray, showed off the Brown he had Impressed. The quiet creature, Nydeeruth’s clutch-brother Uventh, was a perfect match for Natoia’s foster sibling.

As Natoia and Nydeeruth went through Weyrling Training, they discovered Nydeeruth’s ability to fly very fast. When the Green was old enough, the two loved to go hurtling through the sky as fast as they could go. It made them feel as free as the wind, and it was during these times that the pair became closer. Now, life is going well, and Nydeeruth will Rise soon. Natoia is anxious about the Flight for none of the riders have ever bothered to get to know her. They just leave

Appearance: Nydeeruth has a unique coloration, to say the least. It's not very lovely, but it seems to serve the green well. The main part of her had changes from olive to moss green, depending on where it is on her hide and the light hitting it. Layered on top of this rather drab color are differing shades of darker greens- some so dark that they appear black, some only marginally darker than the main part of her hide. The colors are completely randomly dispersed across her hide, sometimes in road splotches, sometimes only in dots. It seems to break up Nydeeruth's outline, giving her the look of a camouflaged dragon. Nydeeruth can hide almost everywhere, provided, the greenery is enough, jumping out to surprise people. Size-wise, Nydeeruth is average size for a green- neither large nor small. She's the typical green size, and seems content with that. Her build is light and delicate, surprisingly wispy. She's built entirely for speed, and as a result, doesn't have the most endurance. Conversely, she can dive and turn easily, and is indeed very, very fast. Though seemingly fragile, Toryth is still fairly strong, and can pull her own around the Weyr.

Personality: Beneath the somewhat fragile body of Nydeeruth, there is a strong mind. She can be surprisingly bold and determined when there's something she really, really wants. Nydeeruth will even stand up to dragons of a higher rank than herself, if there's something she wants that badly. She's pretty clever for a green, and seems adept at finding ways to get what she wants.

Occasions like this are rare though, for Nydeeruth is a happy, loving dragon. Most everything in her life is much to her contentment, and she rarely makes complaints. It's not in Nydeeruth's nature to be unhappy, or not to like other dragons and people. It seems to take a lot to get her from her happy place to become unhappy- usually this only happens when her bonded is upset about something.

Nydeeruth is extremely friendly and sociable, sometimes to the point where it's a fault. She doesn't seem to grasp that not everyone has her best interests at heart. Why can't they all be friends, all part of a big, happy group? Nydeeruth is happiest when in a large group with other dragons and riders of her color and around her age. She's not particularly ambitious, content with her lot in life. Why should she be unhappy because she is a green dragon? Ranking doesn't make sense to Nydeeruth, and likely never will. In her mind, greens are just as good as Golds, and she can become quite adamant on this point. Should someone bring up that she is 'just' a green, Nydeeruth can become quite angry, putting up a large fuss until someone drops the issue.
