Appearance: N'rek is small for one his age, clocking in at barely five feet, six inches tall. He is slender, his skin pale and the veins easily viewable. He is ridiculed for his height, but he's proven that he won't take to being made fun of, resulting in almost always having bruises or small cuts. His hands are callused and the fingernails dirty, but his fingers are long and skinny, giving his hands an effeminate cast.
N'rek's face is slightly rounded, but his nose was broken and has healed crooked. His hair is a dark reddish brown color, kept moderately short and clean. His eyes are dark brown and slightly wide set.
Personality: Naturally edgy and curious, N'rek is one who stands out in a crowd, the one who is always in the middle of something or causing mischief. N'rek loves to show off to anyone that will watch, especially to some of the local boys he knows. A flirtatious kind of person, he loves the teasing banter between a man and a woman, or in his case, a man and another man. But N'rek makes friends well, and oftentimes flirts with anyone he can. He has had interests before, but is somewhat afraid of settling down as a result of his own childhood. He loves children, and enjoys amusing them with sleight-of-hand tricks.
N'rek is one of those people who could make you want to fight them just by saying hello. Arrogance comes as second nature to him, bred into his speech and mannerisms. He is extremely prideful, always happy to relish in his successes. One thing he hates is being ridiculed or anyone else he cares for being ridiculed as well. Always ready for a fight, is the first to defend his honor. He is well known for being outspoken and has made enemies because of this.

History: N'rek was born to a greenrider as a result of a mating flight and was fostered by a pair of Weyrfolk as soon as he was weaned. His foster parents were called Taniel and Yeva, and they were delighted to have the young baby to raise. Taniel worked in the Infirmary, and when Narek was old enough, he assisted his foster father there.
Narek was apprenticed to one of the Masterhealers at the Weyr when he was fourteen Turns old, and he was perfectly content to work towards his Journeyman rank. And so life continued on for a few years, but then everything was thrown when the Searchriders came.
He wasn't even supposed to be in the group the riders were inspecting, but had been stopped by a rider's shout as he passed through the Weyr Bowl on his way to the Infirmary. The blue dragon had insisted that he become a Candidate, but Narek had his doubts. He was nearly eighteen Turns old - that seemed much too old compared to the other Candidates - but still he went to the Sands when the call went out the eggs were hatching.
But it was at the Hatching that he Impressed his Crith, and after going through the training the pair were made full riders of the Weyr.
