Appearance: He is skinny with pale skin. He has black hair which always seems to be in a mess, yet will suddenly seem clean and straight every now and then. He only will where clothes that makes him comfortable no matter the situation, even if it is something formal, it usually takes a good talking to form someone with a higher rank than And’l to make him where anything formal and not his usual more comfort based attire. Though despite this he has an uncanny knack for never looking sloppy, at least most of time.
His brown eyes are very deep looking, with the pupils seeming to be as big as those of a Tarren bush-baby, though they are a little creepy--not so much so that it would scare anyone. His face is almost a constant frown and his eyes seem shifty as though he is suspicious of everyone. He has a long scar up his leg for when he had a bad fall when he was younger, along with some thread scoring here and there, especially a nasty one on his left hand, which holds a strange similarity to the thread score on Nelth, that the blue got during the same thread fall.
Personality: Andol is an extreme shy person or at least that is what most people think. In reality he is not. He is just a little shy and prefers to sit on the edge of a gathering to silently observe and learn about those around him. If a conversation is brought to him, or if he wants one, he will not shy away from it. Yet still the fact that he seems to avoid others, keeps up the idea that he is shy. He tends to find most of his peers to be quite boring and will usually be found talking to those older than him, because he acts more mature than he really is and because his intelligence makes him annoying sometimes. Though some would say his creepiest feature is his ability to read people and figure out a lot about them without them having to say anything.
He is also what people would consider a very blunt person. He will not shy away from saying what he wants, or what he thinks people need to hear. Meaning he is never one to sugar coat a situation. This is sometimes a good thing and other times it is not. He is a homosexual, but this again is other piece of him that is hidden. Not for fear of telling people--he just simply doesn't want to tell others, because it is not that big of deal. When he finds the male he wants, he will go for it and not shy away from it. This is the best way in his mind because it lets others figure it out themselves.
Yet the side that is most hidden is the hopeless romantic. He is really quite a sweetheart to anyone who can get close to him and for those he cares for, he is probably there most loyal and protective friend. Yet every now and then this side will pop up, usually in the defense of those being bullied. Plus he does not tolerate betrayal, if he found out someone had betrayed another. It would not matter how they did it, but he would inform the other party.
He has many odd habits, and though they are not ones that would brother people. They still make people look at him with a double take. He usually sits up in a chair without his feet on the floor and will sit Indian style, if at all possible. He sometimes forgets to bathe, though he is not as foolish as to where it would become a problem. Yet it does leave his hair a little messed up. All and all he what one would consider to be an eccentric personality, and sometimes an enigma.
History: He grew up along side of his brother at the cothold they both lived at. As he got older he was always the odd man out when it came to everything. When the other kids wanted to play, his brother would join them. He would not, preferring to listen to the adults talk instead, or even add his own opinion to the conversation. People just thought that he was really shy and would grow out of one day, though as the years went on it did not.
His brother Bamre thought was the one who saw the side of Andol that others did not. His father's brown firelizard whose name was Iron, could always been seen chattering with Andol. It was quite a funny sight really. As he grew most of the kids did not like him because of his blunt nature, but he seemed to know how to avoid making enemies and it was his blunt nature that seemed to earn peoples respect.
When it came to choose a craft, there was really only one that suited him. Which was to be a Harper, though even doing this he always seemed bored. Though in truth he was finally glad to learn from people he considered more intelligent than himself. When he turned 12 it was only a couple of days after this that he was Searched. Much to the surprise of most people, who thought the seemingly emotionless lad could never Impress. Yet it was his brother who was not, because he knew what Andol like to hide right under the skin.
Upon his arrival at the weyr Andol set to work, finding out about people and learning what he could. Though sometimes he did it in his normal way of not asking for permission. He made a few friends though. The most important was that with the green rider Aergin and her dragon Kolthoth. It was to this pair he ended up being the first at the weyr that he told his secret to and ended up sleeping beside Kolthoth for a night. Yet he also made friends among his fellow candidates and was eagerly awaiting his day when he would get to stand for the clutch.
Yet disaster struck when he was caught going through a riders weyr. He found himself in a situation where he ended up being punished, though was luckily only stripped of his candidacy, yet had to always follow a rider around. He sulked about this, but decided that he should just do what was needed to earn it back, so he worked hard and looked forward to the future hatchings.
He went to the hatching to support his fellow candidate's, yet it was during the course of it, that a larger sized blue that hatched caught his eye. The little creature could not find who it wanted on the sands and so decided to come climb up into the stands, and it was after Andol watched him struggle up to the row he was sitting on, that he soon before he knew it, found a little blue dragon named Nelth sitting in his lap looking up at him, and said to him There you are Mine, I was wondering where you were hiding form me at, but your Nelth has found you now. So how about we see if we can find you some more friends. The impression had been made, Andol had become And'l and two had become one. He was happy, now that he had someone who could always be with him for his entire life.
As the pair moved along in there lesson’s they became closer and closer. And’l’s shyness left him without many friends. He received two flit eggs as a gift; one though contained a bronze. The other had a green. He named them Topaz and Leaf respectfully. Nelth and the two flit’s where is only friends and his shyness did not improve by much, despite Nelth’s best efforts. For this reason the pair where considered to be probably the closet dragon and rider pair in the weyr though this was not something anyone envied. Because the pair’s closeness sprung from And’l’s lack of friends.
When the pair graduated and there was ceremony held to give them there knots. And’l being his usual anti-social self decided to skip it. Though Nelth was not going to have his rider do such a silly thing, and ended up carrying And’l by the back of his shirt collar and dropping him off right among the rest of the graduating weyrlings. Even though the stunt that the blue pulled made And’l angry, it was not telling a couple of four weeks later that in privacy of their weyr, that the rider thanked his dragon for making him go. Much to the delight of the blue. Though this gratitude seemed pop up after certain social gatherings, it was not always case and usually depended on withier the dragon could say afterward, See I told you, that you would have fun. because And’l tended never to argue with the blue when he knew the dragon was right.
It was about a turn after they graduated that Nelth chased a green for the first time, and though he did not catch her, the after effects on And’l where not too much to the dragon’s enjoyment. It did not take Nelth much searching before he found out his riders fear when it came to flights, and the hopeless romantic that stayed inside the young man that only wanted any flights to end in the arms of a weyrmate, plus the fact that the rider of the green had been a female. Naturally this a certain impact on Nelth who decided to only chase whenever he felt he could not hold back, yet the blue always has a habit of dropping out before the end. Still even though the blue hardly chases, each time he does, most people will not see And'l leave his weyr for a few days after. Simply becuase it bothers him greatly, so it usally takes Nelth a few days to get his rider over the expraince, though once he does the young man is as right as rain. At least until the next flight.
As the pair got older together the developed a sense of each other to where neither one had to say a thing. They always knew what the other was thinking; it was this closeness that allowed the two to mostly avoiding injury during thread fall. Though being a dragon rider meant he was eventually going to get hurt, and during one thread fall the pair where both hit which had Nelth not quickly between would have left them with worse injury, but luckily they only suffered some nasty injuries, to Nelth’s left forepaw and And’l’s left hand. As new colors appered at the weyr, the blue rider hardly seemed to notice. In his mind it was just natural progress, human changed. Dragons changed, so though it supirsed him, he never showed it. And’l has become more open as Nelth has gotten him to be more open bit by bit, but the young man still has a long way to go.
Pets: Leaf and Topaz
Pet 1: Name: Leaf= Green Firelizard
Appearance: Leaf is a very large green firelizard. She is a very leafy green all over with dark patches around her eyes and on her tail. Though the green on her is quite a dark color, which allows her to hide very esaily in the dark along side her pet without giving away were he is.
Personality: Leaf is diffently a odd green, she is a intellagent creature, though that is only when compared to other greens, any other comparsions shows how scatter brained she is. She has also claimed since she was born And’l’s shoulders as her own little personal throne that she hisses at any fire lizard who sit on them. She is also very overprotective over her pet most of the time, Leaf is quite motherly, at least for a green, and loves to take care of everyone around her. Though most of the time, she takes care of And’l and Topaz. She has had flight before and laid clutches, but the common factor is that they were all sired by And'l's other flit named Topaz, and usally everyone of them is layed right in the middle of And'l's bed. She always tries to assist Nelth with his mission of dispelling his rider’s shyness. Though her methods of doing so could be considered a bit more subtle than the rather blatant methods that Nelth uses. Plus she can always be bribed with food, or sometimes just takes pity on her pet in uncomfortable situations. Though Leaf's biggest flaw could be called her habit of trying in her own way to get And'l a female weyrmate. Much to his distress, and sometimes to his embarrassment, of course though such situations are mostly rectified quickly by Nelth before they get to a point that could cause any worry.
Pet 2: Topaz= Bronze Firelizard
Appearance: He is a very large bronze with a very bright and almost polished looking bronze that covers his entire hide. Some of the patches on his hide like around his eyes and the tip of his tail. As well as his various joints. He has a green copper like look. This is probably his most noticeable feature.
Personality: He is a leader and a fighter and is extremely protective over his pet. He is also very protective over any clutch he sires. His weyrmate is Leaf, he only ever chases her, and she only lets him catch her. The pair usually going somewhere private for the flight. He also helps in the quest to make And'l a more open being, but he does so somewhat half heartedly. He wants And’l to lose his shy like nature, but the bronze believes that And’l should do it himself. Yet since he is outnumbered by the female flit and Nelth he always caves. He and Leaf are a pair and always work as a team in everything that they do. This is what gives him his strength and why Leaf is the only one he will ever mate with. The bronze can usually be found curled up around the Green.

Dragon Color: Nelth is a very deep dark blue and this always him to blend in really well whenever he feels that it is necessary for his rider to hide. The hue of the blue sees to only show the same hue all throughout, expect were on his leg is a long light blue patch that has a uncanny resemblance to the scar on his riders leg, though he also thread scoring, of course the one most people notice is the nasty one on his left forepaw, which he got during the same thread fall that And’l got one on his left hand. When it comes to size though, Nelth is a very big blue.
Dragon Personality: Nelth is the exact opposite opposites of his rider. At least when it comes to being social, he is a likes to talk to other dragons and is an open creature. He expects his rider to be the same and will drag his rider to any social event if his rider will not go to it voluntarily. Though at the same time, he does not completely abandon his rider in these moments either. Whenever Nelth drags And’l somewhere, he always stays nearby to provide moral support to his rider. Because what go would it be to take his rider somewhere and for him to stay hidden all the time. Such a thing would be way too silly. Nelth though is quite odd when it comes to flights; the blue does not really acts like he doesn’t cares when a female takes to the sky. Though it mostly because he simply wants his rider to find him a nice greenrider for a weyrmate, so that at least there will be some consistent nature to the flights and will not upset And’l.
Though like any dragon Nelth has chased before. Though he has a habit of chasing after dragons and as always dropped out before the end, withier this is done by accident or design nobody, but Nelth and his rider knows. So to the luck of his flight shy rider, the blue has yet to win a flight. Those this is another area where the blue likes to push is rider, trying to find him a mate, though the blue has not be successful for the seven turns he has been alive, the blue seems quite as undaunted in this task as he is in curing his rider of his shyness. Which for anyone who has known And’l since weyrlinghood, they could say that the blue is succeeding, bit by bit. Though for any who did not know better they would not be able to tell a difference.
Yet there are times when Nelth seems to go against his usual course of actions, in how he deals with others, and how he pushes And’l to deal with others. Usually during these times the dragon and his rider will go to one of their many places in the weyr that they have found to hide and will hide. Nelth will during these times that Nelth will shield his rider form anyone. Usually by hiding the young man under his wing and anyone who knows the pair knows that it his best not approach the pair during these moments, because it is the only thing that can make the blue dragon angry. Is when someone approaches his rider when the blue dragon is hiding him, usually because the blue only does this in situations when he feels And’l absolutely needs to be left completely alone, with just him and his firelizards? These situations only come up right after a flight to let any leftover lust leave his rider, when he has had way to much social overload, or when Nelth accidently fails to intervene when Leaf tries to hook And’l up with someone of the opposite sex. Which usually seems to disturb his rider more than the first two situations.

I just believe that the average dragonrider just has to get used to the idea to occassionally ending up in someone elses bed, and most learn to ignore the fact. That's how it struck my in the books, it's what I've seen multiple times here, and it's just how I think. I never said anything about you being stupid, I just disagreed with an idea. You made your argument, and that's fine with me. I never said you had to have Nelth make And'l get over his fear of Flights anyways, it was just a suggestion.
