"Scuttle, I swear, I'm going to sell you for meat soon." Grabbing the blue out of the air for the fifth time that day, Zadari scowled at the crazily chittering creature and shared an exasperated look with her other fire lizard. Scuttle enjoyed being around people, he loved crowds and when he was in them, Zadari had forgotten that he never shut up. So now she was walking with one hand over his muzzle to try and still the near constant highpitched noises, and it worked... To an extent. Now all he was doing was crooning against her hand and looking up at her with brightly whirling eyes of happiness.
Why did I have to get the crazy? She wondered, frowning slightly at the creature in her hands. Maiath's amusement in her mind was strong and Zadari rolled her eyes. Naturally, the green would think it was funny. She always did. Because he is what you would like to be? She asked and Zadari frowned at him as he let out another high-pitched shriek. No, he's what I used to be, when I was a kid. I'm not now. She growled back, giving the blue a firm tap on the nose and releasing him. Happily, he crawled up into her hair, effectively getting himself tangled.
"Who would have thought that visting the hold could be so troublesome! Scuttle, stop that!" Growling at her firelizard, Zadari quickly gave up on the idea of going to buy anything from the hold with the way Scuttle was performing. And... Now he was tangled in said hair, well done old boy. "Crystal, can't you do something?" The violet gave her a rather amused look and chirped something at Scuttle, only to have her eyes whirl with annoyance when he chirped something back. And from Crystal's huffy reaction, it was rude in fire lizard talk. "Useless, the both of you."

Brooke had been all grumps and guillotines that day, not exactly a wonderful thing when her head was often in close proximity to Aleyi's neck. Since Aleyi was out of the Weyr, the Gold was being particularly possessive of her too, and it was a little unnerving. Lucky Pip and Tuck got to fly ahead and scout out interesting doodads, and Aleyi was stuck with a people-repelling Gold.
"You know, I'm sure you could be doing a whole lot of good back at the Weyr," she grumbled to Brooke. "Or you could go keep Jerglith company."
I don't want her around me.
You're the one who made me get her. Not that that argument had ever gotten her anywhere. Jerglith didn't remember, didn't care. The Gold fire-lizard was not his, and thus not his problem.
Brooke hissed softly, perfectly aware that that people were wanting to get rid of her. That only made her latch more tightly to Aleyi's shoulder. The Bluerider winced. "Honestly Brooke, if you're not going to take off my head, you're going to take off my arm. Go find some Bronze to cheer you up."
Up ahead was exactly what they didn't need though- a Violet fire-lizard. Aleyi wasn't the best at recognizing people by the backs of their heads, but it looked like the person the smaller queen was riding on was Zadari too. And Pip, true to her nature, was making a beeline for Zadari's Blue, Tuck in tow. Pip spun circles around Zadari's head, chattering up a storm to Scuttle. He sure was a handsome little Blue.
Aleyi hurried forward. "Brooke, tell her to quit it." Brooke snorted. "Brooke." The Gold chattered something angrily in Pip's direction, and the Green nearly froze in midflight. Also, apparently something particularly rude in fire-lizard talk. Her eyes whirling with submissive fright, Pip whirled around behind Aleyi and latched onto her belt, on the hip opposite Brooke. Tuck settled uncertainly on Aleyi's shoulder.
Aleyi looked up at Zadari- yes, it was definitely Zadari- apologetically. "Sorry... flitters sometimes. They're idiots."

Scuttle was obviously delighted by the appearance of another fire lizard, particularly a female one at that. The chittering of the little female only encouraged him to talk back, even when both Zadari and Crystal were giving him disgusted looks as he increased his efforts to get more of the greens attention by attempting to scramble out of his hidey-hole of hair and only succeeding in tugging on the strands so that his mistress growled at him and lifted her hands to attempt to free said hair. She didn't know the green or the brown that were distracting Scuttle, but she wasn't particularly fond of them at the moment.
The girl that came hurrying up however, she did know. Aleyi of Jerglith, wasn't it? She was friends with one of the first barred riders or something like that. Evidently, her gold was about as useful as her violet in stopping the antics of the other colours, though Zadari was honestly grateful that she only had two of the little creatures to annoy her day in and out. Crystal's obvious response to the gold scolding the green and brown was an approving chirp, because of course the other needed her approval for her actions. Inwardly, Zadari thought that Crystal and the gold would only make things worse, considering a queen's attitude and attempts to always do things better than another.
When the other girl spoke, Zadari's expression became teasing and she shrugged one shoulder. "It's fine, Aleyi." Hopefully that was actually the girls name or she'd feel like a right idiot saying it with such confident. "Flitters will be flitters. What're their names?"

OOC: I don't even know but I'm replying anyways.
Her fair relatively settled, Brooke turned a sour gaze on Crystal. Blues weren't all that hard to control, she ought to have made him calm down before he got stuck in his keeper's hair. She was a Violet though; Brooke couldn't expect much of them.
"Quit that Brooke." The Gold squawked and put on her best innocent face. Aleyi shook her head. "Honestly, if looks could kill, she would have a constant stream of dead bodies behind her." Glaring at things wasn't something Aleyi had been able to train Brooke out of.
"Oh, and... well, she's Brooke, obviously," Brooke returned to glowering at Crystal, "the Brown is Tuck, and the Green," Aleyi twisted, trying to see the flitt now hanging rather unhappily over her butt, "is Pip."
"I think it's an acronym for 'Pain in... um, Places.'" Pip gave a slightly offended chirp at that. Brooke had already attacked her, she didn't need to be teased.
"What about yours?"

If Brooke was glaring, then Crystal was giving her stare for stare. Gold the other creature may be, but the violet was no less annoyed at the presence of another Queen, and showed it by snorting quietly at Brooke. In her small opinion, if you had never lived with Scuttle there was no judging actions or non-actions, because after a week with him, Crystal had mostly given up on teaching the horrid little creature manners. Scuttle continued to chirp happily, tangled as he was, and Zadari snickered as she calmly freed him, strand by strand if need be.
"Glaring is what Queen's do best." Crystal wasn't much for glaring at other people, but Scuttle was a different matter, and the looks she gave him would have murdered him the first time. Unfortunately, Scuttle was undeniably dense when it came to things like that, and unless Crystal voiced an order, he'd usually ignore her disapproving looks and scowls in his direction.
Zadari laughed as Crystal sniffed haughtily and turned her attention to the two others as their names were given, though she made no attempt to move closer. "Well the violet is Crystal." Pausing as she finally managed to distangle Scuttle from her hair and holding him up so that he could wind his way around his fingers, she smiled again. "And this is Scuttle. I don't think there's really anything behind their names. THough I wonder if I was asking for it when I named Scuttle, he's such a twit." A flat look was given to the blue, then he was placed on her shoulder, with the warning that he was to stay there.
"What brought you to the hold today?"
