She popped into my head this morning and I couldn't resist. At least now Karisna won't be the only Candidate. P:
Name: Jackie (Jacquelin)

Appearance: Jackie is a tall, dark-featured girl. At 16, she is about 5’8”, but still seems to be growing. She’s skinny, and not particularly tough looking or physically. She is dexterous though, and good at sneaking and being quiet. Not particularly curvy, thin-chested, and with a long torso as well as long legs, Jackie doesn’t seem like she would be much to look at, but she does have a certain grace about her that she uses to her advantage.
Jackie’s face is fairly average, with her only discerning feature being her wide, dark eyes. Even caught red-handed, Jackie has mastered the puppy-dog expression and can make herself the picture of innocence in nearly any situation. (The only problem here is that it doesn’t work as well once someone gets to know her.) Jackie’s hair is black, shoulder length, a little curly, and she usually keeps it back in a runnertail.
Jackie has a fondness for bright colors, especially yellow and orange. Although it may not be in a major clothing article, she does usually find a way to work them into her outfit.
Personality: Jackie is a generally friendly, playful, and bubbly girl, although she does have a wild and *very* manipulative side. She loves to test the rules and see just how close she can come to breaking them without any major trouble. If she can break them and avoid immediate bad consequences, even better. Jackie has little respect for authority, is often late to things, but knows how to put to use her sweeter side to manipulate others and avoid total blame for things. Once people get to know her, however, that generally doesn’t work as well.
Jackie has a bit of trouble with wandering fingers as well. She has a tendency to turn up with other people’s trinkets, sometimes on purpose, more often without really thinking about it. Don’t ever let her borrow something, there’s a good chance you’ll never get it back. Stolen items she’s better about returning, and her talent for acting cute and innocent often comes into play again here.
Last, Jackie is a shameless flirt, although she’s generally looking more for having guys at her back than for romance. With that in mind, she’s more likely to go after men with rank or ones she thinks have good potential to have it. Although she's not interested in women, were one to make advances at her, she probably wouldn't turn that down either. Once again though, it would only be for extra support rather than a relationship. It’s likely she’ll soon have a bad reputation around Nyocia before long- at least among the women.
History: Jackie is the only child of a mother who became single after the first Threadfall of the 16th Pass. Her father, a beasthandler, was caught out in the field when it first fell. They moved shortly after the first Threadfall to a more major Hold- along with losing the man of the family, they lost most of their animals and with them, a good portion of their livelihood. Her mother was a Weaver and figured she could earn money easier in an area with more potential customers.
And so, Jackie grew up with a busy mother in a busy Hold, all the busier with the renewed thread of Thread. She was a rambunctious child, and soon became well-known to the local Healers due to an almost constant stream of cuts, scrapes, and her best friend being the daughter of one of the Healers. Jackie broke bones here and there as well, and now has a set of crooked toes and a stiff pinky finger. Her right arm, luckily, healed up with fewer repercussions.
When she was twelve, Jackie’s mother ‘took her back’ and forced her to settle down a bit by teaching her the Weaving trade. Although she was good at it, Jackie soon decided on a career she wanted much more: Dragonriding. Searches to her Hold were fairly irregular though, and she was repeatedly passed over when they did occur. Finally, a rider and dragon simply out to renew some of their riding straps ‘happened’ upon her and the Blue paused, suddenly paying her special attention. Long story short, now Jackie is at Nyocia and anxiously awaiting Nayarath’s Flight.
Pets: Peach Kagen Quip
Jackie happened upon Quip when she was 13, stole her from the litter, and has had her ever since.

Appearance: Quip is little and a very yellow Peach. Although she does have the usual peachy-pink undercoat, her belly, paws, face, and back are all at least brindled with pale yellow. Past that, she’s quite average looking.
Personality: Quip takes after her keeper, and loves to get into everything. She likes to wander off on by herself as well, and in the course of her life has found a mate and been pregnant a few times. Of course, now that she’s moved with Jackie to the Weyr, she’s in need of a new mate (and not entirely happy about it).

Age: Hatchling
Appearance: Finth is a bright, vibrant green and almost entirely that shade. The only blemish is a spot of dark, gray-green that ends her tail. It begins just before the spit and finishes off her tail that way. She is a fairly large Green at 25 meters.
Personality: Finth loves to be doing anything and everything. She is sweet, playful, and curious, always one happy with whatever is being done, so long as something is happening. She is very outgoing and flirty as well; being in the company of Blues is among her favorite pastimes.
