Dragon Colors
Gold
Golds are the largest clutching queens. They range in size from around 43 to 55 meters, though due to unknown reasons a few have grown larger. Their hide can range in color from very bright gold to dull, almost bronze gold. Some even have hints of green in their hide. They Fly to mate a few times a Turn, clutching between 15 to 35 eggs depending on whether it is close to Threadfall or not and what male catches them. Golds are more likely to be caught by Bronzes or the odd Tan dragon, though some of the smaller ones can be caught by Browns. Golds generally Impress to heterosexual females.

Violet
Violets are the smaller clutching Queens, though not by much. They range in size from about 38 to 47 meters. This coloration came from nowhere, though some suspect that it had to do with the volcano that is used as the Hatching Grounds. Their hide can range from deep, dark purple to a lilacy, light, almost white purple. These smaller Queens clutch around 10 to 20 eggs depending more on Threadfall than which male catches them. Violets Fly only a few times a Turn. Violets can be caught by Bronzes, Tans, or Browns. Violets generally Impress to heterosexual females.
Bronze
Bronzes are the largest males. They range in size from about 35 to 45 meters, though some grow slightly larger. The hide of a Bronze can take many shades from dark bronze to very pale bronze, it can even have tints of green and orange in it. Bronzes will chase Golds, Violets, and Greens. Bronzes generally Impress to heterosexual males.
Tan
Tans are only slightly smaller than Bronzes, and are males. They can range in size from 32 to 43 meters. The larger Tan males chase Golds and will win occasionally, while chasing Violets and Greens is more fruitful to them. Their hide usually has a creamy tan shade, while their feet and muzzles are dark brown or black. Often a stripe of brown or black runs down their back and occasionally there are stripes of the same shade running down their legs. If not, their legs are usually just black. Tans generally Impress to heterosexual males.
Sky
Skies are one of three colors that seem to only crop up when a Violet and a Tan mate, and, even then, only sometimes. They are large, ranging in size from 30-42 meters. Most are smaller, usually bordering on the sizes of Browns, but occasionally a great big one will pop up, just to keep things interesting. As for colors, Skies do a lovely job of living up to their name. Overall, they are usually a deep blue-purple, like the night sky on clear nights. They are often specked with pale yellows and grays. Light, sky blues run from their throat, along the belly, and about midway down the tail. These lighter blues are occasionally smudged with whites, like little clouds. Although wing membranes are usually the same color as base hides, occasionally they’ll be the same color as the lighter blue belly. Skies are female and Impress only to females, but sexuality makes little difference.
Brown
Browns are smaller than Tans, though the larger ones can compete with them in Flying Violets, and sometimes small Golds. They range in size from about 30 to 40 meters. Browns usually chase Violets or Greens, though a courageous Brown may try for a small Gold every now and then. Their hide varies in color from very light brown to dark, almost black, brown. Browns usually Impress to heterosexual males, but occasionally Impress to bisexual/homosexual males or females.
Teal
Teals are one of three colors that seem to only crop up when a Violet and a Tan mate, and, even then, only sometimes. They are rather like a larger and male version of Greens in personality, and, occasionally, in color. Usually Teals are simply teal or some shade very close to that, but a few are much more green or blue, and the off-colored ones tend to be the most spastic. Although Teals can range in size from 28-38 meters (in between Browns and Blues, closer to Browns), there always seems to be some sort of quirk with their build that can make measurements always feel a bit off. Always male, Teals usually Impress to males too, of any sexuality, but it is possible for them to choose a female, where, again, sexuality makes no difference.
Charcoal
Charcoals are one of three colors that seem to only crop up when a Violet and Tan mate, and, even then, only sometimes. The majority of them have heavy, powerful builds and seem to have a nasty, grumpy expression forever on their face. Their color and personality match their natural appearance, they are black with red tinges and always sour and grumpy. Charcoal’s red tinges are often called ‘ember marks’, and normally touch the back of their legs, their bellies, their throats, their chins, and their feet. Occasionally they turn up elsewhere, but not often. Charcoals are usually on the large side of their size range, 25-35 meters, but still don’t get much larger than the smaller Browns. A basic rule to follow with them is ‘the smaller the grumpier’, so it’s a good thing most are bigger. Charcoals are always male and Impress only to males. They can be of any sexuality, but Charcoals tend to avoid homosexual lifemates.
Blue
On the smaller and quicker side of the males are the Blues. These males range in size from about 24 to 30 meters. Blues have a wide variety of hide colorations. They can have just about any color of blue on their hide from almost white pale blue to the deepest navy blue. Blues are too small to chase the queens, instead they chase Greens. Blues Impress to anyone.
Barred
Barred dragons seem to be a larger mutation of Greens; their hide is always either a pale silver-green or more silver. Barred dragons are easily noticed by their markings; bright violet stripes in several distinct places. A stripe of purple curls behind each eye and another stripe runs from their forehead and at the base of the neck splits into two so that two stripes run down the back. These stripes eventually end about a third of the was down the tail. A shorter stripe along the bottom of the neck starts at the throat and runs to just behind the forelegs. The edges of all Barred dragons’ wingsails are the same purple shade as their stripes are too. They grow only slightly larger than Greens do, ranging from 21 to 28 meters in length. Although likely to fly several times a year, it is unknown yet whether they will clutch or be sterile females. Impress to females of any sexuality; rarely they Impress to males too.
Green
Greens are the smallest females. They cannot clutch, and range in size from about 19 to 26 meters. The hide of a Green can range from very pale green to bright lime green or to a dark green. Greens fly quite a few times a Turn and can be caught by a Bronze, Tan, Brown, or Blue. Greens Impress to Anyone.
White
Whites are the smallest dragons, and so far only one is alive right now, making only two in history. Not a lot is known about them, but they are large enough to ride and able to flame, and that's what's important for a dragon, so, for the most part, they are treated about like any other. People just seem to think of them as different.
