Weyrling Rules:
These rules may be added to or changed periodically as the need arises.
1. Never leave the Weyr under any circumstances without explicit permission from the WM or WM's assistant even in the case of an emergency. The Weyrling Master will give you permission to leave for short periods of time when your dragon is older.
2. Do not leave your dragon unattended for long periods of time during the first few weeks as this could cause anxiety.
3. The physical health of both you and your dragon is very important therefore you are to bathe and oil your dragon daily, clean up any shed hide or bathroom accidents, and keep your barracks clean.
4. Disrespect will not be tolerated!
5. Weyrling riders are to abstain from all sexual activities until the dragon is considered mature enough to handle it. That is usually around 10 months of age. If you believe your dragon is mature enough and you simply can't wait any longer, you may bring your concern to the WM. The youngest age this could take place is 8 months but is a very rare occurrence. If this rule is broken, you run the risk of driving your Weyrling dragon Between.
6. The only people allowed in the Weyrling Barracks are the Weyrlings, the WM, his/her Staff, the Headwoman, and the Weyrleaders. Anyone else must obtain permission from Weyrling Master.
7. DO NOT attempt to fly your dragon until given permission from the Weyrling Master. Any premature attempts will be dealt with severely, as this may permanently injure your dragon.
8. NEVER attempt to take your dragon Between without the explicit direction and supervision of the Weyrling Master. Breaking this rule could result in the DEATH of you and your dragon!
Any breaking of these rules will have a range of consequences. More minor ones include, but are not limited to: latrine duty, kitchen duty, nursery duty, and stable duty. A major consequence could be the death of your dragon. The WM can get as creative with punishments as they would like so be careful. Breaking rule number eight will result in severe punishment, a demotion to a lower Weyrling Class, and a period of grounding enforced by a gold dragon.
