Sabre finished writing out the last of the lesson announcements, and blew gently on the ink to dry it. Time for the fire lizards.
Akila got three announcements, one each for Gorrian, Korrik, and Japarill.
Kelna, two, for Chloee and Roksana.
Echidna got two, for Piyor and Shiane, while little India was selected to take Silia and Lianly their lesson schedules.
She had schedules for her adult handlers, too, but without Chartreuse, what good were they? They could catch up later. It was only the one lesson they needed anyways- figuring out her system for navigating the Labyrinth
While the lizards searched for their deliver-ees, Sabre carefully settled herself down, her back against Sabresk’s side. A glow perched on the gold’s hounch didn’t irritate her eyes, and cast the perfect amount of light for Sabre to see her lesson notes. Today’s lesson was Orienteering, or How to Find Your Way Around the Labyrinth. This would be interesting.

Silia had just finished cleaning Silisk. He looked as...handsome as a blue wher really could. To her that was very handsome indeed. To people other than wherhandlers? He was still ugly, no matter how much she polished his heavy blue hide.
Pop! That was a firelizard emerging from between. "Hey there, little one." There were some scraps left over from Silisk's last meal. She grabbed one and offered it to the firelizard and then reached to take the message.
Ah...lesson schedule. "Thank you." She couldn't remember the firelizard's name. She should get herself an egg. They were pretty useful creatures, after all, but she hadn't wanted Silisk to be jealous.
At the appropriate time, the blue wherling sought out Sabre. She found the goldhandler just slightly intimidating.

“Well, it’s probably a good thing we’re getting a lesson on this.” Pari had spent most of his time at the Labyrinth getting lost, or, as he preferred it, exploring. It was just… exploring without a purpose and he often had trouble finding his way back from the adventure.
With Parisk, he stayed mostly in the same place; he couldn’t get lost and have his lovely little Green get hungry in the meanwhile. She took a playful nip at him now and then, and if she got hungry enough he wouldn’t be too surprised if she decided to test the taste of human flesh.
She was very young, anyways. Parisk happily tested everything she came upon in a manner that usually involved teeth, and had learned so far that rocks and baskets weren’t all that good, but Pari’s boots would do if she really wanted them.
That explained why the toes of his boots were still a little damp from Parisk’s saliva when he reached his destination, and although Pari doubted anyone would be looking at his feet, he tried to stand in a way that would hide the dark, wet spots. Parisk practically smirked at him and sat helpfully on her handler’s feet.
She just loved to show off how useful she was.

Despite being here for quite some time, the darkness of the Labyrinth was still playing tricks on her eyes. Indeed she had relied quite a bit of her blue wher, Liansk, to avoid walls and steps when she was too tired to concentrate completely. He also knew where food was when he was hungry, so she didn't have to worry about getting lost on that subject. A life like this maybe wasn't for her, but she wasn't going anywhere without her wher partner.
Maybe Inolyn would come 'rescue' her and take her out of these tunnels! It was a nice thought, and with your older sister having quite a bit of influence being a violetrider it was completely possible for anything to happen. In the mean while though she had to train Liansk, though he was extremely loyal to her already. Never went far from her side, such an affectionate beast.... well, as affectionate as you would want a wher to be.
When the green flitt appeared to her and started flapping arond to give her the note Lianly nearly jumped out of her shoes! They really had to stop sneaking up on her, or she needed to pay more attention. More the likely the later. So they were going to have their first lesson! How exciting!
Liansk sniffed at the note, strange things humans got excited over. It didn't smell like it tasted good so he wasn't going to try it

The familliar sound of a flitters wings alerted Shiane before Shiask's soft click to announce someone's presence. He hadn't moved much from Shiane's side since bonding, and since then, Shiane had been having less and less trouble tripping over things. He'd worked out ways to warn her, simple sounds that worked wonders, once she'd figured out what they were supposed to mean. The soft click of someone being there was more a way to confirm things than anything else, Shiane could usually hear someone coming before they got there.
Taking the message softly, Shiane almost sighed aloud. It was so easy for everyone else to figure out messages, but she couldn't exactly ask Shiask. But the sounds of others moving was a bit of a give away and Shiane lightly nudged her bonded's side, "Shall we go see?" There was no answer other than the sudden shifting of his bulk from her leg and the sound of his talons on the floor. Apparently, that was a yes.
Patiently, Shiask waited for his bonded, sticking close to her side, even ask he tried to keep the others in sight as well. It would do no good to lose either of them. It wasn't like Shiane could navigate around without him, without walking the same path several times. Maybe she could ask one of the others to let her know when lessons were, or figure out a way to read them on her own.
"Let me know when we're there." A short chirp was her response, followed by a soft sound that was almost a purr, Shiask nudging her hip gently in an affectionate gesture as much as it was one to make her stop. "Oh, we're here."
