Finally. They were out of the barracks, once more that step was behind her. Once again she could experience the excitement of leg room, of being able to move around. She could see, jsut looking at Maiath, how happy the tiny green was with the new space, being able to stretch out on her weyrledge, and not be bothered by her siblings. No, now she had all this space to herself, and she didn't need to share! Well, except for the two flitters currently dozing against her back, both Scuttle and Crystal snoozing lightly. She didn't know how they could sleep, Maiath was excited to be out of the barracks.
For Zadari, it was bitter sweet. Yes, she was a fully fledged rider... Again. Though finding Maiath had been like suddenly piecing herself back together, it was like eveything had been glossed over, the pain had been there and Zadari could remember the bleak times as well as those sudden weightless days with her beautiful, and loving green. Even with that, there was no escaping the fact that she'd been here before, unpacking her things into her new weyr with the excitement racing through her veins, but now with teh all new feeling of dread. What if she lost Maiath through stupidness too? Could she bear to lose another part of her soul? The answer was no, no she couldn't bear to lose her too.
Glancing around the weyr, there was a sadness in the green rider's eyes that hadn't been there for so long, making Maiath look up with a croon, a simple inquiry as to what was wrong. Wordlessly, Zadari shook her head, frowning slightly. She had to let go, she knew that she couldn't be all that Maiath truly needed while she clung to the blue's memory. She'd always wished he'd come back, but that would mean wishing she'd never Impressed Maiath, which wasn't true, she'd never known anything like it. Impression alone was wonderful, but being the person you thought you'd lost? Being able to regain that person that had been missing in the mist of depression, seeing the world clearly again... It was nothing like anything else.
Still, it was time to let go, she couldn't be Maiath's rider while she was Sitath's. Moving over to her green, Zadari rested her cheek against the green's as she let one tear escape, one tear for one person she'd lost.
Time to let go...
