Z'ris hated this. Still, he smiled over at Aleyi and nodded. "Hello Aleyi." His shoulders dropped slightly as his mood got worse. This was supposed to be a Gather! All happy and joyful. Sharding K'laon just had to ruin Z'ris' good mood.
He didn't much wait for an answer before lightly grasping Beka's hand and leading her toward the dance floor. Maybe they could get close enough to Tarenthia for him to switch partners with K'laon...or something. He didn't want to dance with Beka, he wanted to dance with Tarenthia!
Mine...Axeth is yelling about something.

”Dance with me”
Ketara was only too happy to oblige. Sheena was a delightful eyeful, and handful. Her eyes got slightly big as the greenrider moved their hands over her curves, but then a playful smirk settled itself on her plump lips.
”Do you wanna play?” she asked, putting her lips close to the smaller rider’s ear. Mmm, she’d have to ask what fragrance the greenrider used. She smelled fantastic.
_~_
Z’ris, come to the meadow beyond the Gather stalls. I wish to speak to you and Jacklith.
Axeth stretched his wings, and cast a critical eye down the edge. So far, he didn’t have Threadscore on his wings, for which he was thankful. So many dragons were out of commission for Threadscore. The stuff sharding hurt!
And, leave yer lady friend. I gotta talk to you dragon-t’-man, even though we’re a man short.

"Shards. Sorry Beka, save me a dance later! Gotta go for now!" Z'ris couldn't believe what was happening. What did Axeth need? This wasn't good. His night was getting worse! But he could cut through the dance floor, had to really, to get the place Axeth wanted to meet.
He deftly skidded past many couples dancing until he came to Tarenthia and K'laon. Gently placing a hand on both their shoulders he smiled at K'laon first. "Sorry to interrupt K'laon, but I'm on my way to talk to someone about an urgent problem and needed to talk to Tarenthia for a moment."
He leaned over to Tarenthia's ear to whisper to her kindly. "Please don't leave. I have to go talk to Ketara's dragon...about something. I'll be back for you, I promise." He straightened up and smiled at her before letting go of her shoulder with a squeeze. "Continue to have fun you two...sorry I can't right now."
With that, Z'ris ran for the meadow. It took him a good few minutes, but he finally got there. "Ok Axeth..." He huffed for breath. "What do you need of us?" Jacklith wasn't there, but was listening intently from the Weyr.
Yes, why are you yelling at me?

You fancy a candidate, do you not? Allow me a word of caution, as your Assistant Weyrling Master, and as the dragon of a beautiful young lady. As a weyrling, dalliances are forbidden.
Axeth paused a moment to ensure the boy was understanding him, and continued.
And, in your case, likely to end with a trip between. Rider's don't do well with children.

Z'ris felt like a little child again. He was being scolded by a dragon! At least that part was exciting. "Yes, I do like Tarenthia. I don't want to get her in trouble either. I'll take the blame for anything that happens." Then Z'ris looked up, right at the dragon. "Wait. What are you saying Axeth?" Jacklith was bouncing around excited. His had bedded Axeth's!? Hehehehe! Such a secret! Jacklith knew exactly what Axeth was hinting! His was to have a clutch, however humans did it, with Axeth's? But the Bronze didn't tell Z'ris. Ultimate revenge for what had previously happened! ************************** V'ire sent Kiyo out to find the obvious Tirasha. She would be easy to spot because of the protective Bronze on her shoulder. He sent the fire-lizard to find her because he thought he had found her...but then again everyone was elegantly dressed. It was hard to tell by dress. Walking through the crowd, he saw Kiyo circling someone a good bit above their head. That must be her then. Kiyo was a life saver. He walked briskly up to Tirasha and smiled. "Found you, thanks to Kiyo. Ready for our dance yet?" He would wait until she was ready. He was just glad that she had agreed to dance!

A twinge of uncertainty flashed through the Greenrider when Tarenthia glanced back and her smile vanished. Amirinth was quick to inform him that N’rek was behind it all… but the girl didn’t have a dragon so swift with information. But when she spoke, K’laon laughed. “I suppose so.” She seemed happy enough again as she twirled and K’laon easily shifted his position for the dance as they reached the rest of the moving throng.
K’laon could see what had Z’ris so interested in the girl as they danced, she was very pretty and apparently rhythmic. Even though the movement of her hips seemed uncertain, K’laon noticed and liked it. “No reason to be hesitant, my dear,” he said, returning Tarenthia’s gaze with a smirk. “This is a dance.” He spun her playfully, then looked up in surprise when he saw Z’ris approaching. Abandoned his partner already? That couldn’t put on a good image.
“I would have thought this was an urgent problem… but of course.” K’laon moved aside but couldn’t help but try and overhear what Z’ris whispered to the girl. For Amirinth. The Green would hate him for not knowing what this other urgent business was.
~~~
Willow chirped and tried to convince his to head in another direction when he noticed Kiyo approaching, but the Bronze wasn’t the only one to see him and Tirasha stopped, smiling at the Blue and then looking up at the dance floor. She should have worn a better dress, it hadn’t slipped her mind that V’ire had asked her to dance… but the preparations for it had.
She smiled at the weyrling as he approached and nodded. “Of course I am.”
He’s enjoying himself but not having much fun. I would like to be there… Kayth understood why they had been left behind, but it didn’t make it any better. Mine! Beka is there, maybe you should go find her?
D’mas didn’t think it was that much of a terrible idea. He didn’t necessarily have anything to do any more and it would be nice to talk to a familiar face. What could the hurt be? He eventually found her at the dancing square, a number of rider and weyrlings alike seemed to be congressing in this space. Beka looked like she was about to dance with another from their class, but then he quickly ran off nearly as soon as they hit the dance floor.
“Where did he run off to in such a hurry?” D’mas asked, hoping she wasn’t either embarrassed or disappointed to be left standing on the dance floor. “Well I’m sure he wont mind that I get in a quick dance, seeing as where here.”
~~~~~~~~~
“Thank you M’ran, you don’t look all that bad yourself.” Naturally she would remember the name of a man she saw nearly everyday, even if a large class like theirs. 26 was nothing to be scoffed at, and they were a strong wing of young dragons.
“I’m just wondering around at the moment, it’s been a while since I’ve seen outside the weyr. The harpers playing are my friends, teachers and old classmates” She told herself she must try to duck away and say hello to them. If she danced they would know she was here so it would only be polite. Just because she impressed a queen doesn’t mean she was a snob.
“The dancers look like they’re having fun though, I wouldn’t say no if someone asked me to dance.”

In the hustle and bustle of the dance square, R'lyr didn't realize N'rek was approaching until he felt a hand on his wrist. He gave a little gasp of surprise, but there was no doubt as to who it was when the green rider placed a kiss on his lips. He chuckled to himself, guessing that N'rek had grabbed the wrist for balance because he needed to stand on his toes to reach him. He was glad he had decided to come to the Gather. N'rek really seemed happy to see him, and now that he was here, R'lyr planned to have a good time. Kestrel chirped a greeting as N'rek stroked him, enjoying the attention as well as his owner's good mood.
"I thought that might be the case, so I thought better of staying home. I wouldn't want you to miss out on any of the Gather just to come and collect me," he said dryly. He blushed faintly at the suggestion of N'rek's next words. He might have come up with another smart answer, but instead, he gave in and returned the kiss, bending down so N'rek wouldn't have to stretch. He broke away after an appropriate, middle-of-a-public-place time.
Kestrel, not sure whether to trill his response to the kiss or be annoyed at having been dislodged during the proceedings, hovered a few inches away. R'lyr cleared his throat, the blush still staining his cheeks. "Kestrel, go find Junior. I think N'rek can take care of me." The bronze snorted, but flew off to play with his friends. "N'rek, I have a turnday present for you, and no, that wasn't it." He held out the small wrapped box. It contained a silver belt buckle inlaid with jade stones, green to match Crith's hide.
----------
Shador's blush was mostly show, and she didn't mind the closeness of the dance. Another woman may have been offended, but she liked a bold man sometimes. She hadn't been expecting him to be such a good dancer, though. She was delighted by all of the tricks he pulled, and she willingly went along with all of the spins and dips.
"My, you're a good dancer!" she exclaimed, grinning as he pulled her close again. At almost the same instant, she spotted J'ran wandering the dance floor. She thought of inviting him to cut in, but decided against it. She was enjoying dancing with Korrik too much. She just waved at him, then turned her attention back to her partner. "Where did you learn? Sabre must be giving the wher candidates private dance lessons!" Clearly a joke, because the idea of Sabre dancing was kind of absurd.
Kelth nuzzled Ekirith as he settled down beside her. Shador didn't seem to have any attachment to J'ran, but Kelth was still very fond of the Brown she had chosen for her mate. Hello, love. Aren't gathers fun? I like watching the people dancing around.[/color]
--------
"That's right, I remember you being from the Harper Hall," M'ran said, thinking back to the day he had happened upon Inolyn playing a new song in the weyrbowl. That was before they had Impressed. It seemed like a lot had happened since then. Time was moving so fast. Not too far in the future, he would be a brown rider. He didn't want to think about that right now. If any of his old friends from the Healer Hall were here, he would have to say hello to them.
"Well then, how about a dance with me?" He asked, holding his hand out.

Tarenthia gave Z'ris an awkward look. What could be so important? She tried not to think about it. He had, after all, shown no real interest in her and seemed to have moved on pretty quickly. He was acting fairly odd, though. Tarenthia reattached herself with K'laon when he passed. "I couldn't say what that was about!" She joked, pushing thoughts of Z'ris from her mind. She wanted to have fun, and worrying was no way to help that. Tarenthia resumed dancing as though nothing had happened.
~~~
Sheena couldn't help but feel a shiver go through her body as Ketara's warm breath caressed her ear. Her ear was a sweet spot; it made her yearn for some... physical contact. Sheena's soft lips brushed against Ketara's neck and slowly turned into a sultry smirk.
"That depends," she whispered against the woman's skin, looking down at her body, "On what you want to play."
Sheena's body was lightly pressed to Ketara's, and she was still moving with the beat. Their chests slightly rubbing together. Sheena couldn't help it. She had come here looking for a partner, and she supposed she had found one. How perfect this partner was.
~~~
Korrik felt a slight bit of jealous as her attention momentarily went to another man, but he remembered to be courteous. No doubt she had friends, maybe even a weyrmate.
He laughed warmly at her joke, that put an odd picture in his mind. The only time he could ever think of Sabre doing fancy footwork would be swordplay! "The day that happens, I shall find myself in a world with purple grass and yellow skies." Kork spun her under his arm, regretting his first impression of her. He felt guilty for basing a person solely on looks.

“I would love to.” With a sweet smile Inolyn placed her hand in his. She should have known that he might have wanted to ask her, but it had been quite a while since she thought about normal young girl things like boys and flirting. All her time had been put into Jorindath, and to lesser extent Keloc her little blue. Where was that little flit?
“Should we just jump in or wait for the next set to begin?” If she remembered the score right, the song was nearly over as it was. Hopefully the next one wasn’t a slow dance, those dances were always for couples. She had nothing against M’ran, but it would just feel weird for her.

I think your bronze has figured it out. You might try to keep your pants on once in a while. You seem particualrly fertile.
_~_
"This seems to be an enticing game, don't you think?"
As she spoke, Ketara slid both of her hands down to the greenrider's caboose, which she then squeezed. That brush of lips against her skin felt so good...she wanted more. She bore down on the greenrider, capturing soft lips for a kiss.
"You taste good."

Sheena's hands slid up Ketara's sides, just touching the sides of her breasts. She had almost completely forgotten the presence of others here. Ketara was being very forward, and she liked it.
She slid one arm around Ketara's waist, a hand on the small of her back keeping their bodies close. Their kiss made her want more. And more of Ketara. "Do that again," she murmured. Her free hand slid up her body and around her neck, pulling the woman to her lips once again. The kiss was a bit more fierce this time, and when she pulled away she couldn't help but want to do it again.
"I think I'm getting a little carried away with you, Ket." She chided softly, leaning in close to her ear. "And I think I like it." Her teeth pulled slightly at Ketara's ear, a little moan escaping her lips that only the two could hear. Sheena liked being taken control of like this. She liked feeling so wanted. And so wanting.

Z'ris thumped to the grass. "Shards. I never...meant to..to get her pregnant." He undid his runner's tail and ran a hand through his hair. "Does she know yet?" He was stunned, but was forcing himself to think straight. Jacklith wasn't saying anything. He was reveling slightly in Z'ris' discomfort, but at the same time he was a little upset that it was making His so upset. ****************** D'lis spotted a rather enticing figure dancing around with a wher candidate. Why would Shador be messing around with someone like him? Maybe the Gather was making D'lis a little less mopey, but he made his way to them and smiled politely at them. "Hello Shador. Mind if I steal you away?" He was ignoring the boy except for his polite nod. He grinned at Shador and looked at her dress. "A mighty fine dress for Queen rider. Not pretty enough for you though. Still, it does bring out your lovely eyes." ****************** V'ire smiled and extended his hand. "Then by all means! Let's get out to the dance floor." He had hoped that she wouldn't forget, and she hadn't. He was glad. "You look great Tirasha." He grinned at her and brushed his tunic to straighten it out, feeling unworthy suddenly.

"Shall we take this elsewhere?"
Ket was a little breathless, but didn't want to stop, not by any means. It felt so right, having this woman in her arms. She didn't want to let go, not at the moment.
_~_
She does not know. Not yet. She does not even realize she carries a babe.
No, Axeth thought, she DEFINITELY didn't, not if he was interpreting that surge of emotion right.
I intend to take her between as soon as it is feasible. She should not have to carry the child of a weyrling who cannot resist simple flight lust.
His tone was condescending, and for good reason. He didn't hold himself accountable for Ket's pregnancy, not at all. After all, Ketara uusually liked his Flights! How should he have known she wouldn't care to bed her wingleader?

Z'ris jumped up. "Between!? Shards! No Axeth! At least not until I talk to her? Please?" He looked at the Blue. He should at least talk to Ketara. He felt he should.
It was his child...he should take responsibility and own up. "Please, just let me talk to her tomorrow Axeth. Let her decide?"
He was upset at the thought of her not even knowing. She should know at least who the father was. Even if she punched him.

"Why'd it take you so long to ask?" Sheena said playfully, kissing Ketara once more. She then grabbed her wrist and started leading her away from the dance floor. "Should we go somewhere private or just hide ourselves in the bushes?" Her icy blue eyes sparkled with mischief. She could hardly contain herself. Ketara was so beautiful. So tantalizing.
~~~
Korrik simply bowed his head slightly to D'lis and back off. He was obviously familiar with her, he may have been the one she waved to. Courteous as always, Kork just bowed to Shador and kissed her hand as he had when they met. "Lovely dancing with you. Perhaps another time?" He asked rhetorically, then he resumed his position at the edge of the dance floor. It was a shame the rider had taken her away. He was having fun! Kork's sharp green eyes watched the two keenly. Another chance to dance with Shador would not be missed.
"Behind, behind the stall. We'll be to ourselves." Ketara couldn't think too clearly, Sheena's erotic fragrance was clouding her head and making her thoughts fuzzy.
((fade to ARP!!! or black or whatever))
Why should I? You are but a weyrling, and a particularly annoying one as well. Why on Pern would Ket want to bear YOUR child? I'll set this to rights.
The blue cocked his head, and rumbled in his chest, happily, though the weyrling probably couldn't tell that.
Besides, she won't be much fun to talk to in the morning. I have the feeling she'll have one name on her lips, and trust me, it won't be yours.
Beka was startled to say the least, at first Aleyi's appearance, which got a shy smile, and then Z'ris', that got a wide eyed panicked look, shuffling slightly to edge the slightest bit away from him. However much Mermaiyeth liked her siblings, Beka would never be fully comfortable in the social settings. "H-hi Aleyi... You look really pretty." Her cheeks flushed scarlet at the question and despite Valiant humming reassuringly, she shrugged one shoulder. "I-I don't have any..."
"I don't know how! I mean, I n-never learnt!" She wasn't given much choice though, her hand grasped lightly even as she glanced back at Aleyi in almost panic, pale cheeks flaming. She didn't know anything and she did not want to be embarrassed, as such, she was pleased, greatly when Z'ris dropped her hand and fled. "Oh shards... Relief." This was murmured to the worried Valiant, though Mermaiyeth nearly cackled as D'mas moved over.
Ugh, I want to be there with Mine. Jacklith's wouldn't have left if I was there. No one leaves Mine sjust-- Oooh Yours is going to dance with Mine? Wonderful! You are a nice bronze.
"Oh-- I um... Don't know..." Beka mumbled, looking back again at Aleyi, before glancing back at D'mas. She really wanted to dance. Hadn't she wanted that turns ago, to be able to twirl around the dance floor? "I--I dunno how... I mean, I'd like to dance, I just.. Dunno how... Valiant, go stay with Aleyi will you?" The blue cheeped sadly but did as he was told, blinking between breifly to land on Aleyi. His wanted him to protect her now.
(Beka = eek, what's going on! XDDD)
N'rek frowned as R'lyr pulled back, wishing that the bluerider wasn't so concerned with propriety. He personally could care less who saw and what they thought, but R'lyr was always worrying about things like that. Perhaps it had something to do with his being blind and having to deal with that ailment but N'rek still thought it ridiculous.
He smirked at R'lyr's evident blushing, eyes dancing with amusement. Yes, it was fun to embarrass R'lyr--primarily because he blushed easily. N'rek loved to tease him, if only for his own fun. Besides, R'lyr got over it eventually so there was no harm in it.
N'rek took the small gift from him, putting the wrappings in his pants pocket as he undid them. He opened the box and smiled, fingers reverently brushing over the stones that were incredibly close to matching Crith's hide color. "It's beautiful. How did you find the stones--they almost match Crith's color perfectly."
He slid the cover back on the box and placed the box itself in one of his tunic pockets, close to hand so he could prevent anything happening to it. N'rek took R'lyr's hand, leading him through the scattered groups of people that ringed the dance floor to a deserted table not far from the dancing square. He let go of the bluerider's hand so he could sit on the tabletop, legs dangling off the side.
"Thank you." N'rek leaned out, grabbing both of R'lyr's hands to pull him closer, shifting his hands to the bluerider's elbows for a better grip. Realizing that his knees were digging into R'lyr, N'rek wriggled so that his knees fell to either side of R'lyr's legs. One hand slid up to rest at the bluerider's neck, directing his head down so N'rek wouldn't have to lean up so far.
He kissed him zealously, the hand at R'lyr's neck preventing him from pulling away before he wanted him to. When N'rek finally pulled away, he leant his head against R'lyr's shoulder, panting. "Crith will Fly soon and I can't promise you that she'll choose Easath this time."
“You don’t know how?” It surprised D’mas a little, everyone on Pern must have been taught to dance at some point in time. But thinking more on it, some of the more remote holdings may not have easy access to harpers, let alone any music at all to dance to. To save Beka any possible embarrassment maybe it was best not to hit the floor just yet.
I didn’t do anything, he did it all himself
“That’s ok, how about we watch for a little while before I take you through a few steps?” Not on the floor of course, he would take her away a little so she could practice some basic steps. As long as no one asked her to do anything like the throw dance she should be fine.
