Dance All Night {Dance Square}

"You don't have one?" Aleyi raised her eyebrows, but then grinned. "You're probably better off without a dress really, this one is a pain. I can't sit down and stand again without getting the hem caught under my feet." Anyone could see that even in the small amount of time she had been wearing it, the fabric was looking liable to tear and the skirt was already dirty. Aleyi really didn't mind though.

When Z'ris took off again, Aleyi frowned and watched him go weaving through the dance floor. What was wrong with him? Brooke growled softly, irritated that the boy still hadn't aknowledged her. "That was odd," Aleyi commented, giving her Gold a comforting stroke. Beka apparently didn't get a long break though, and Aleyi felt a slight twinge of jealousy as D'mas approached next. Why didn't anyone want to dance with her? Maybe she would just have to find her own partner.

"You're so lucky Beka, everyone wants to dance with you." Aleyi laughed and Brooke sniffed at the Blue who suddenly took up residence on the Bluerider's shoulder. Apparently he passed her inspection though, for the little Gold didn't chase Valient off. "Hello Valient, gonna stick with us for a bit?" She smiled at the little Blue but gave Brooke a pet, knowing the Gold wouldn't appreciate her greeting the guest and forgetting the Gold. Brooke was growing into a big pain.

Taking the offered hand, Tirasha started forwards, excited to be dancing. This was a Gather, she wasn't going to worry about who she was seen with because a lot of other people were liekly to attract more interest.

Tirasha gave V'ire a skeptical look. "I look the same as I always do, I believe," she pointed out dully. Willow gurgled and hopped off Tirasha's shoulder, landing what he decided would make a convenient perch nearby. He still didn't approve of His dancing with this boy, but apparently he wasn't going to stop it. So he would just have to make sure nothing bad happened.

K'laon laughed as Tarenthia returned to him. "Something important I guess." Amirinth couldn't make anything of it either, which was odd for the Green. But if it was something they really were to keep out of... they could try to delve into it later. For now, K'laon was dancing and happy doing so. ((XP No ideas for him.))

Shador was only a little disappointed when D'lis came up to cut in. She was enjoying her dance with Korrik, but she didn't want to waste the whole night with one person, either. "Thanks for the dance, Korrik. Maybe I'll see you later." She blew him a kiss as he walked away, then grinned at D'lis and put her hands on his shoulder. She chuckled at his compliment. "Why thank you, D'lis. The tailors did their best, although they could never match my beauty," she joked, giving a comical little pout.

"Enjoying the gather so far? I'm surprised you're not with K'laon." Her eyes sparkled with mischief; she was teasing him. She had heard Strath and D'lis were all but kicked out of the green rider's weyr the day after the Flight.

"Let's head out now. It looks like the song is about to end, anyway," M'ran said, leading Inolyn onto the dance floor. He found himself humming along to the music a little as he placed his hands carefully on her waist, standing so far away from her it was almost ridiculous.

R'lyr tensed a little as he heard the paper being torn from the box, wondering if the buckle would be to N'rek's face. Then he smiled, relief clearly washing over his face when N'rek said that he liked the gift. "I'm glad you like it. Easath told me the general shade of Crith's hide, and the Smith helped me pick out the stones," he explained. When N'rek tugged him along, he willingly followed. He could tell from the dwindling sound of the music that they were coming to a more secluded area, and he wondered what N'rek was up to.

He soon had his answer as N'rek pulled him close, kissing him even more passionately than before. He was panting when they finally broke away, and he struggled to get his breath as N'rek put his head on his shoulder. R'lyr was dismayed by the green rider's words, not exactly what he wanted to hear after a kiss like that.

"I know. And Easath may chase another green if he doesn't win, or even before then. Why are you telling me this?" He asked, not accusing, just curious.

Z'ris looked up at Axeth. "I really don't give a shard Axeth. I just want to talk to her about the situation! She can do what she likes, but she deserves to know at least that she is pregnant!" The arrogant Blue was making Z'ris angry. He may be a weyrling, but in such a situation he should take responsibility.

Whether her dragon wanted it or not, Z'ris would talk to her tomorrow sometime. He would try. Jacklith on the other hand, gurgled at the entire predicament. The Bronze only wished he was there to see his face rather than just feel his apprehensive emotions.

D'lis smiled down at Shador. "No, I don't believe they could. Weavers and tailors aren't that talented." He placed his hand on her waist, and winked at her. "I think I'm going to keep you for a long while."

Am I flirting? Shards! He never flirted! Seemed the little bit of wine he had before coming over here and the Gather itself made him flirty. Who better to flirt with though than someone like Shador? She rode a Queen...and she was a good partner, though she wasn't too committed he could see. Oh well.

A new song started up. "Oh. Time to dance!" He smiled at her and started to twirl her around lightly. Dancing was at least one thing he could do right.

V'ire walked with her to the dance floor and blushed at her remark about her appearance. "You can't look beautiful? Maybe it's because I think you look that way...or that you like Gathers. I don't know that, but you look great."

They got to the dance floor and, using the hand that he was holding of Tirasha's, he spun her to him. "Now, let's dance!" He smiled down at her as the music picked up in a new tune. He placed a hand on her waist, still unsure whether or not she was comfortable with him touching her so much. They were dancing together though.

Not tomorrow morning. She won't be awake. And we- lucky us- have the midday patrol.

Axeth wasn't expecting Ketara to be able to form a coherent sentence, much less question him.

Aye, girl, we do. Boy, think before you speak. She still has no idea what happened after the Flight.

Axeth looked over his shoulder, and noticed brown Strath.

I have socializing to do. Go forth, and keep your sharding pants on!

The blue turned towards the brown, and called out, Will Yours monopolize Kelth's all night?

Tirasha glared at V'ire. "You're going to lose your dance pretty quick," she muttered. Shards, she was already regretting agreeing to dance with him; V'ire seemed unable to keep his mouth shut when he needed to.

She was caught by surprise when V'ire spun her, but recovered quickly enough to avoid stumbling. Dance... Tirasha was starting to waver. Willow shifted uncomfortably, wanting to go rescue his from the irritating Greenrider. But Tirasha relaxed again quickly enough, catching the beat of the music and moving to it.
