((I thought she was gonna sing the song she wrote... d: Sorry for such a slow reply, Sparrow feels sad leaving the thread hanging right there though...))
Kora nodded too. "There are plenty of dragons who could run a Search at the mines, I'm sure a few Candidates should turn up there too." She wasn't sure how to reply to what Sabre had said next... some gases could kill, she knew that, but what did that have to do with a cave-in? So she remained quiet.
Kora would have been happy to share a bit of her food with the Bronze, but apparently Sabre wasn't as happy about the idea... the Weyrwoman didn't know why, maybe she just didn't want her flitt to beg.
“That girl who Impressed the Violet is a good singer,” she commented instead, turning to watch the girl. Everyone had seemed to disappointed that there was no Gold in the clutch, except Nayarath who seemed to be nothing but proud of all her young. But as far as Kora could tell, Inolyn had potential.
My daughter wouldn’t Impress to someone who didn’t, Nayarath reminded her rider.
The Gold gave Alduth what could have passed, for dragons, as a coy glance. No, I probably don’t. But they are pretty. And they were her offspring too, Nayarath made nothing but pretty dragonets.
Amirinth considered Roluth’s reply and then gurgled. Yes, any smart Blue would see that. Do you like that girl’s singing? She Impressed the Violet didn’t she? Amirinth didn’t much like singers, seeing as she couldn’t quite do it herself, or so K’laon told her. But she did rather like this voice, if maybe not the girl herself because she sang.

Y'xem nodded and listened to Inolyn sing. " Yes, and she has potential to be a good Queen rider. Maybe you and Shador can show her the way." He grinned.
Alduth agreed though. Yes they are still very pretty. But they are our children, why would they not be!
Roluth shifted his whirling eyes to look at the girl that was singing. Hmmm...yes. I enjoy most singing though. And...she did Impress the Violet, I think her name is Inolyn, and the Violet is Jordinath. He seemed rather contented with himself to remember the new little Queen's name already.

Sabre intended to ignore the Harper girl's song, wanting to get this unpleasant business over with. But, as she opened her mouth to thank the Leaders for their time, she paused.
The girl does have a remarkable singing voice. What a pity she's wasted on a dragon, Sabre mused. The remark, even in her mind, was cool.
Once the girl stopped singing, Sabre stood to make her farewells.
"Such a pity. That girl could have Handle gold, if she'd half tried. We house so few of Harper get, it's difficult to get decent music." She didn't bow, as most probably would have to the Weyrwoman and Weyrleader. Instead, she nodded deeply, not lowering her eyes.
"I'll be checking up on that. Have your riders bring all candidates to me. You know where I lair."
She placed one toe behind the heel of the other, shifted her weight to raise her heels, and spun herself. Her heels clicked together before she walked off.
